With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

4chan Rumor

For now these are going to be de-confirmed since a number of Pokémon listed appear not to be getting an Alolan form

  • The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
  • Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
  • Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
  • Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
  • Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
  • Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
  • Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
  • The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
  • Furfrou gets new styles
  • New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
  • There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
  • Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

Chinese Rumor

  • There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
  • The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
  • The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
  • New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
  • Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
  • Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo

  2. I hope Alakazam doesn’t have a variation. Seems like it getting the Mega evolution along with something new is overkill.

      • Oh yes, I agree. I meant Alakazam was given a mega previously and if it gets something new just seems unfair to the rest of the pokemon. Everything on the list besides Alakazam (plus the ones revealed today) don’t go mega which I think is their way of compensating them. Guess we’ll see.

    Alola Bulbasaur – Bulbasaur in the Alola region settled near an active volcanic. Frequent eruptions, caused the Bulbasaur to adapt to the extensive heat by shedding its leaves and developing an internal furnace embedded within its body.

    Alolan Charmader – Charmander settled close the beaches of Alola. Unable to travel to the other islands due its fiery nature, the Charmander began learning to swim, those who could survive as their tail fires were out, adapted to the oceans of the Alola region becoming excellent swimmers.

    Alolan Squirtle – Squirtle settled in the marshes of the Alola region. However due th intense heat from the sun, much of the wetlands dried to leave massive jungles. The squirtle adapted to this new environment by developing the ability to harness the Suns energy, growing large leaves on their shells, and vines around their arms and legs.

  16. Ooooohhh my god…. Sun and Moon are just…. oh man, I love these games. The idea of pokemon adapting to their environment and gaining a different type. The awesome pokemon designs, the change in the pokemon formula.

          Mudbray was the only minor victory but still the name is very uninspired and those goat eyes

            Some kind of Hulking Plant Ogre (Grogre) or my Tiki
            Water/Fighting Chinese Acrobatic Popplio
            Honestly just like big beefy Pokemon it just the only thing I like

          • Well I mean, if you limit yourself to liking only a specific kind of pokemon, you’re bound to be disappointed. I’m not telling you what to like, but try to use some different things maybe?

            It’s funny that my second favorite type is Fighting and the third is Ground.

            Earthen is attempt to evicting me off Ground as my third fave on the basis that I like Swampert (which he hates) and Landrous (because legends) and Gliscor (because “one-trick staller”), and that I like Krookodile for “all the wrong reasons”… XD

          • ok well you got kittens evo then, and mudsdale, the sun legend, and gumshooes and I’m sure much more, you cant really get mad about not having big beefy hulking pokemon yet as if they are in the game they are going to be evolutions and as such haven’t been revealed yet

            The variants are neat because it gives an excuse to use a pokemon you might not have used before. it also gives more type variation in Alola.

            The birds are… kinda weird but I like them. Little dancing birdies 😀

            The team captains all look fine to me except that electric type guy.

            Also, don’t you like Litten? He’s all big and buff. That seems kinda your style

    • It’s about freaking time they did a little real world evolution. It doesn’t really make sense for Pokemon to always be the same no matter where they are. This makes them more diverse and interesting. lol

  20. I’m stupidly excited. Give me a REAL squid Pokemon and some waifus, and Alola could be the best like no one ever was. (Also give my man Oshawott a little bit of positive acknowledgement for once please Pokemon ;_;)

        • I mean, yeah they all are a little thin atm but I’m sure they will introduce some stronger characters at some point, like Lenora, she was a bad ass and looked like should could take you out if she wanted

          • Because if I want an actual plus sized female character it will sound wrong or like a creep because those just don’t freaking exist in any games anymore unless they’re meant to be like that

          • i don’t see how it would sound wrong or make you sound like a creep (unless you’re one of those people who like the like 500 pound ballon fan art you see on the internet where they cant walk and just look like a lump) but a plus size female character is not something you should be ashamed of saying you want in a game, but their is a limit, pokemon is not going to put in a huge character because you cant be huge and be healthy because you cant walk, but you can be plus size and be healthy, so I guess my question is what is plus size for you?

          • People have different tastes, no one’s judging you for that. All that I’m seeing is that they bring up one plus sized female, Lenora, and you shoot it down saying she isn’t when she kind of is.

          • Just an endless cycle of never getting something I can enjoy while others drop their balls with every detail revealed

          • I really don’t know what to say dude. If you aren’t enjoying pokemon, I would recommend learning how to ROM hack. Then you can make your own games and your own pokemon. There are a ton of good tutorials on the pokemon rom hacking subreddit. You can pick up up and learn it pretty quickly from my experience

          • Why don’t you just try it? Like I’m serious, if you don’t like something then you can do it your own way. I dabbled in rom hacking and I can tell you it is really fun. Scripting is pretty simple and there is alot of resources out there for it.

          • My lazy brother said he would help me build a PC but he’s a lazy t*at who’s never around, and there’s the money the ordering, the freaking assembly and all the freaking madness that is getting everything the way I like it
            Because I can’t do this on my own

          • I built mine with my brother and after we had the parts it was running after like, 2 days. It isn’t too much of a hassle. The money is the hard part

  21. I can’t lie, I love the idea of the 4 Island leaders, I still do hope that they have gyms though. Now as far as starters go, I was having a hard time choosing between Rowlett and Litleo(leaning more toward Litleo). If this is infact Litleo’s final form, I’m going with Rowlett

        • We know, but we’re saying for Lurantis, the idea is backwards, the plant/flower is trying to be a bug to either entice prey or to screw off potential predators 🙂
          The actual animal is a bug being a plant, but Lurantis might be doing a backwards thing.

          • I mean, dex entries help, but not everything has to come from there. It helps and it makes sense, but sometimes it might not be there. And we could be wrong, it’s just something that we thought GF might do, this idea sounds like GF to me. Base it on an insect, but it’s a plant that acts like the insect it’s portraying.
            Speaking of Dex entries, I know Fomantis states that all it cares about is photosynthesis. Not a lot of bugs are capable of photosynthesis. The only one I can think of is an aphid, and those don’t really look like either a mantis or Fomantis/Lurantis. Sure, could be nothing, but was something I wanted to bring up regardless 🙂

        • Or you could both be right. Sometimes Pokemon aren’t just the animal they are based on, most times actually…

        • I understand. However, I’m talking about Lurantis. The inspiration may have come from a bug camouflaging itself to look like a flower, but for Lurantis, they may have tweaked it in favor of a pure-Grass-typing. 🙂
