A Chinese rumor about Pokémon Sun & Moon has seemingly gained credibility after predicting a Poison/Fire-type Pokémon which was fulfilled with the reveal of Salandit. You can read it below, translated by Cresselia~~ of Smogon Forums.
- There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
- The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
- The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
- New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
- Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
- Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo
In addition, it seems that the majority of the images of the “leaked” starters (seen above) have mysteriously disappeared from Google image search. There is no way of knowing but it is possible official takedown notices have been sent to have them removed from search results. This is a warning: I may soon remove the images myself.

I also get that. I simply hate Popplio’s rumoured final evo but what can we do? I think that we’ll most likely get the second form of the starters in late August or the beginning of September. After that we can pretty much tell if these leaks are real or fake. Also the league stuff seems unlikely and even if it’s real, I’m pretty sure that you’ll have to defeat certain trainers to make them act as Gym Leaders because why the heck would they obey a 10 year old kid?

That’s not entirely true. If you look at the second forms you can pretty much tell where they’re heading. You have a point that they won’t confirm these fake but they might foreshadow something entirely different.
Second evos don’t mean anything. We have to wait until the games release because I don’t see them showing off the final evos until the games are basically out.

Universities/college are LOADED. Pokestops everywhere, gyms everywhere, Pokemon everywhere. I personally am not in a college town right now, but my friends who are go on multiple daily walks and catch dozens of Pokemon of all types.
My main concern is where I’ll be able to find Pokestops to restock up on Pokeballs I guess.

Parks are basically always Pokestops. Landmarks, fountains, police/fire stations, churches, etc. are typically all stops as well

Post game content is hidden by clouds (or ice in BW2’s case) this island wasnt hidden by clouds and was mentioned as being part of alola so yeah seems likely that it is story related

Huh? All you should have to do is get in range of the stop, it should change from a cube to a medallion looking shape. You then click on it to zoom in, spin the medal of the picture, and get items. No module should be required; never even heard of it

Yup. You have to spin it…. The Module is just a thing that lures Pokemon to your Pokestop.
Ah, that’s probably it. Yeah, once you spin, you should get 3-5 items. However, there is a Lure Module you can buy, which is like an incense, but causes pokemon to go to your specific stop you’re at. It works for everyone nearby too

I’m having trouble figuring out the flaws of Popplio 3 and Rowlet 3, although I can understand the hate for Litten 3. I really wanted a quadruped Fire/Poison tiger, but Fire/Poison has already been made a reality!
I think it’s because people weren’t expecting them. As in, Rowlet 3 has a hood, but people think it’d look better without it. Or Popplio 3 is a siren, when people think it should be more clown like. Stuff like that.
It’s not that the designs are inherently flawed, it’s just not what some people wanted because they expected a certain theme.

My problem with Popplio is exactly as you say. It’s girly but to an extreme extent. Delphox is feminine too but I had no problems with it. This is too much. The other thing’s also right, I expect this. Popplio just doesn’t seem girly to me. It’s giving off some “little boy” vibes to me at least.

my problem with popplio3 is that nothing about it reminds me of popplio. with rowlet and litten 3 there are alot of things in the design that reminds me of them but popplio? not even the color scheme is the same one ( is basically white now)
I wouldn’t say that it doesn’t resemble it, rather it’s very different. The basic characteristics are still the same, so the tail or the body structure remains pretty much unchanged. But apart from that it doesn’t match Popplio’s character that much. Sure, Froakie also got rid of its foam when it evolved into Greninja but that change wasn’t this drastical. When looking at Chicorita and Fennekin you just see on their designs that they’re meant to be a little bit more feminine than the other two. But this time it’s different. Popplio doesn’t give out any girly vibes to me at least. But I really don’t know.
So the reverse of what happened to Oshawott (for color scheme)? Started out primarily light blue + white, turned, became dark blue as Samurott

I’m the same except for Popplio’s. Rowlet’s design is simply awesome and Litten grew on me little by little but I just can’t come to like Popplio’s even for a tiny bit. It’s just too girly. This is a first for me tho. Never disliked a Pokémon before because it’s feminine. The design seems too off for me. I don’t get this girly vibe from Popplio.

Yeah, was also thinking about this. Making Rockruff a werewolf as they said in the article would make absolutely no sense. According to the wording on the official site, it only has one evolution. If it’s true, evolving from a puppy to a bipedal big wolf thing seems dumb. With a middle stage wolf evo it wouldn’t be so dumb but I just want Rockruff to evolve into a regular old wolf.
Here’s a thought Bipedal Rockruff evo that’s Rock and dark type.. Dark due to it being a werewolf. I’m sure people wouldn’t be very happy with the 4X weakness to fighting hahaha

I mean these three starters evos all show human characteristics and traits (more than a Pokemon should) and if Rockruff becomes a werewolf – which is basically a human wolf, then surely there’s some kind of connection – along with the whole “synergy/bond” aspect that’s been floating around

Other details: Trainers show an emotional response when their Pokémon either faints or beats the opponent.
Items used in gym battles/island trials are tied to the difficulty setting (yes you read that correct)
At the beginning of the game, your mother will give you a “Sunglasses Case” and tell you that they can “help you see the world differently”. You can’t do anything with it until you reach a changing station in a Pokemon Center (Yes, customization has been brought back).
While at the changing station, you can access the case, and there will be two pairs of sunglasses you can wear, each corresponding to a difficulty level. Putting on the Rose glasses makes the game easier, while the Sunflower glasses makes it harder (I thought it was cute that the “rose tinted glasses” make things easier). Unfortunately, this does mean that if you play on Easy or Hard, you are forced to wear sunglasses.

Im back, but only to speculate on these, I hadn’t left the page on my computer and saw this. No spoilers yet hopefully for me. I will actually be sticking around until these are proven false or true in the next coro coro, but I have a friend who is going to check for me to make sure no new ‘mons get spoiled for me.
Here is why I think they are false:
As many have stated, a fire/ poison lizard has been thought of before because of fiery salamanders with toxins in their biological make up. It could easily have been speculated by someone.
Also, like people have said, the werewolf thing could easily be assumed by anyone based on the flavor text.
These evos don’t make sense seeing how someone said its called Panthster or something, yet the tag on the pictures says Tiger3. Also, why wouldn’t those names just be present along with the images. Or am I talking about two different leaks? This has been one jumbled mess.
The super move theory has way more credibility since Kukui has been studying moves, but why would it result in a change to aesthetics. Pickachu looked the same in the image on the website, and Ash-Greninja is half a kalos starter, half an anime character who has never appeared before in the games.
I hope this gets cleared up soon. All of this. What with FB being loaded with the tragedies of our world, and this site being a frenzy, I need it cleared up stat.

No but it says Tiger3 and someone else said the leaked name is Panthster. (which imo is tricky to pronounce). Why not just call it Panthster on the page. And also, people keep freaking out about a bipedal fire starter AGAIN, but maybe its not a lack of trying, its Gamefreak’s intent. Maybe they want the pattern to be bipedal fire starters, prehistoric animals for grass, and amphibious water starters. The zodiac theory for fire was always reaching a little too far.

Exactly, but design wise, there’s clearly a pattern of bipedal fire starters. When all six are bipedal, its not just coincidence. Especially when grass and water have gone back and forth from bi to quad to none (with serperior).
True, but that’s something I wouldn’t consider a theme like with the water starters or the supposed fire zodiac theory. It’s just a design preference for how the fire starters should look.

I dont even think they are fake because of their appearance. I dont mind them, although I would prefer to not have fire/fighting. Im hoping it will be fire/dark. There’s just some strange red flags in this info.

Rockruff evolving into a Werewolf is actually quite possible. “Howls when the sun goes down” and becoming “wilder” as it nears evolution are all qualities that Werewolves posses. Also, silver bullets are the only effective weapons against Werewolves and what weakness does Rockruff’s Rock-typing bring? Ding-ding, weakness to Steel-type moves.

Well the leaker that said he was fired from being a translator said that there would be a trailer up next week talking about the new mechanic and wouldn’t you know it Pokenchi has announced that they are gonna show something new off in relation to Sun and Moon. Coincidence? I think not! lol

Official release is the 15th in japan but leak tend to occur from the 10th-14th maybe even as soon as the 8th

CoroCoro officially release most months on the 15th. They leak however earlier. The leak is usually when we first hear about the news.

The thing is that i think this leak was a week ago or two so the trailer with the new feature should have been up now. Again im not sure when the leak was posted but i think it was weeks ago and gained credibility with salandit

What? The guy who leaked the trailer time frame posted two days ago. That would still make it next week. Right now we have two different leaks. The Chinese leaks from weeks ago that involve the pics of the starter evos and then another leak from a guy that revealed further “info” which includes him saying that there will be a trailer next week.
Oh ok the that can mean two things:
1. This “leaker” saw the chinese “leak” and used it for credibility, this guy also knew that corocoro comes next week and along that comes a video so he used that to increase his credibility
2. …nothing i guess that maybe they are real(they likely arent)
Hey you could be right. Maybe the Chinese rumors are the only real ones maybe they aren’t. Maybe this other guy is telling the truth maybe he isn’t, but I think at this point the info we DO have is quite interesting. things tend to get more complicated as real leaks start coming. I guess we won’t know for sure until next week. I would like to point out that the interest in the Chinese leaks only re-surged in the past 24 or so hours. So him posting a couple of days ago would put him at leas ta day before anymore of this started becoming a thing. Either way I guess all we can do is wait to see if any of the leaks come true.

I dont understand how someone gets only half the info right. Either you played the game and forgot half and made up half, or you’re really lucky and guessed half correctly. That, or you worked on the game and they’ve since done a major overhaul of the entire game.

I guess. Seems like an odd strategy where you run the risk of being proven false by info being released that pertains to your false 50%.
The one thing that is interesting but not all that unusual is because Pokenchi is slow and for children, is that of all the new Pokemon from July, they only showed Tapu Koko. So, they could be showing the remaining Pokemon on the 17th. But that still doesn’t disprove the fired European Employee’s promise of a new video next week. We just have to wait this out I’m afraid.
If these leaks are legit, and they will rapidly spread over the internet in the coming days, I’m expecting GF to upload new footage of them on YT tbh.
