A Chinese rumor about Pokémon Sun & Moon has seemingly gained credibility after predicting a Poison/Fire-type Pokémon which was fulfilled with the reveal of Salandit. You can read it below, translated by Cresselia~~ of Smogon Forums.
- There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
- The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
- The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
- New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
- Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
- Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo
In addition, it seems that the majority of the images of the “leaked” starters (seen above) have mysteriously disappeared from Google image search. There is no way of knowing but it is possible official takedown notices have been sent to have them removed from search results. This is a warning: I may soon remove the images myself.

So, I’ve decided, if this rumor is true, I won’t quit Pokemon. If Gyms and Leagues are removed and you have to create them, there’s gotta be a method to this madness that Mr. Masuda and his team are creating. But still, it’s really weird for the 20th Anniversary to remove such a long-time staple to the series if this is true.

I think that it would be cool if we could make our own gym, but I don’t like the idea of little to no gyms to start with. Perhaps a system of where you need to beat all the gym leaders on the island to become one on that island.
Anyway these leaks are iffy

One side I disagree because how can you have access to elite 4 without badges? and So many people don’t pay attention to pokemon story as is and just go for gyms (Im one of those people)
Sadly, for the Starters, I think at this point, they’re real. No one can prove or disprove them fake and they appeared out of nowhere and it’s been a month. It would of been debunked by now but it hasn’t. When you look at the leaks and the designs, they’re based off of parts of Hawaiin culture. Rowlet’s final is based on an Archer and some kind of shape shifter being in Hawaiin legend that can take the form of an owl (I forgot the name but I remember it began with an O). Litten’s final evolution is based on fire dancers, which commonly appear in Hawaiin festivals. And Popplio’s final is a circus performer based off of a mermaid/dolphin (dolphins of which are in Hawaii). Someone would of had to do their homework and take a lot of time to make it, if it was fake and most leakers I see, it’s an obvious giveaway. Either a flaw can be pointed out or it can be found on Devianart.
I hope that this is not 100% true; I don’t want to be stuck with Tony the Tiger. Also, how is there no Gym Leaders or League when there are Gyms all over the map. That seriously confuses me, how woukd progress be made? At least we might get a Dolphin Pokemon…

There is some sense I suppose behind the concept of “Bond Abilities” from the fired European Employee Leak and that you fill up a meter to unleash a devastating attack. The Pokemon.com site said that you’ll “discover moves more powerful than any seen before”. And the European Employee Leak mentions a Gorilla Pokemon with a menacing look, which could be the Rugby Monkey in the Chinese Leaks…
That could also work for the “fifth move” bs that people bring up. But eh.

Is the fired European Employee Leak a definite fake or does it still have yet to be proven false? It seems pretty legit to me. And it mentions a Gorilla which could be that Rugby Monkey in the Chinese leaks… Maybe the Ground/Fighting type Gorilla plays football? LOL. There is a Football team in Hong Kong with a monkey as their mascot which could explain why the Chinese Leaker related it to that.
It could be real all will be known about that leak after next week.

This is really hard question for an indecisive person like myself but I would choose Electric. I would be the 6 gym leader. My gym puzzle would have a be pitch black.The only light is lightening flowing around the whole gym and your goal is to move lightening rods to certain areas to generate enough electricity along the way to Light up the whole gym.

This rumor is really spotty. If they just predicated a Fire/Poison Type; without naming the ability and species of animal; we’ve done it as well on the Jungle. Hell, someone predicated the Corrosion ability on this site. If that is the case, then I believe this is rumor to be 25% right.
That is indeed all they did and a lot of the other stuff is either fake sounding or other stuff people have said before. Doesn’t mean the leak won’t be real and knowing GF it probably will be right because they don’t know what the fanbase wants.

Yeah, anyone could of guessed. And everyone pretty much knows about the Starter Concept Sheets that can’t be proven fake. They were mentioned in both the Chinese leak and European Employee leak. To me, I believe the European leak more. But the guy kinda sounds like an attention grabber.
I am a Chinese, I have read The rumor. In fact, he said that Fire/Poison lizard, but I don’t believe this rumor, although it is very interesting.

Something just isn’t quite right about this leak still. Hopefully CoroCoro can clear it up and if they show a Gym Leader, it’ll disprove that and my paranoia and horrors can move on. This is honestly the scariest development/leak yet. As soon as I saw the first line “No traditional Gyms or League”, I swear I stopped pumping blood to my heart for a second. But if it is true, I’ll try to be open.

I am okay with this except this No Gyms concept. What would be the long running goal, the story would really need some bigger twitches .
Would be okay with the starter evos, not overly happy with Siren but we can’t fight the moonlight.
