The hour has come; we’re about to learn more about the next generation of Pokémon games coming to the Nintendo 3DS: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. - Grass starter is Rowlet; “Grass Quill Pokémon” w/ ability Overgrow. Also knows new low-level Grass-type attack “Leafage” that is available from when you receive it
- Fire starter is Litten; “Fire Cat Pokémon” w/ ability Blaze
- Water starter is Popplio; “Sea Lion Pokémon” w/ ability Torrent
- Alola Region
- Release date is November 18 in NA/JP and November 23 in EU

This is one of the things that excites me the most: the trainer behind his Pokemon. Looks like our rival.
He the trailer you linked me the trainers aren’t on the field so it’s either a Rival only thing or just a cut scene.
I know, that’s what’s bothering me. I hope they will use it in every battle, but I doubt that. I guess it will be in every battle in gen VIII.

I’d love to see this generation’s third game being named “Pokémon Earth”. Also, it’d be awesome if its main legendary was typed as a ground/grass. Cheers to the new line! <3 😀

Sidney was actually made more Evil-looking in Gen 6, but Malva was part of team flare, which is probably due to the whole flare part honestly.

Gyms: Water, Ground, Poison, Flying, Fire, Steel, Bug, Dark.
E4: Electric, Fairy, Normal, Rock
Champion: Multi
Gyms: Grass, Steel, Rock, Dark, Steel, Water, Dragon and Fire
Elite Four: Flying, Fairy, Ghost and Poison

A Flying E4 would be cool too.

Yes and no.I feel like the right now we can’t see the full region. But I think that once they reveal the map and stuff it’ll be huge. Especially with that full render of the WHOLE region.
I’m guessing the names of the legendaries will be revealed on the 14th as part of the CoroCoro update. I’m sure the magazine wants some exclusive information as well, and this would be it.
I love the cat (fire/dark to be), ignore the seal, hate the owl. Regarding the legendaries: Love the lion, didn’t even understand what the other thing is (a bat-ish animal?).

I know why I feel weird about the starters. Because i’ve seen so many pictures of the idea of what the starters might look like, and plus they don’t seem sugimori to me yet. But let’s see.
I’m not gonna lie the first time I saw them I kind of didn’t feel them either, mostly litten because we just got litleo but they’re really growing on me the more I see them. And I guess they’re growing on me more cause think about it they have 2 more evos so we get more and hopefully better designs.
I’m betting this region will have around 105 new pokemon.

gen 3 had 135, and gen 4 had 107, so 130 and 105 are good estimates
I’d say anything over 100 is accurate. A lot of people, including myself, didn’t like the small number of new pokemon in X&Y so hopefully they have more this time.
Definitely more than Kalos. I don’t think X and Y were anything more than a tech demo.

Kalos decided to go to the opposite end and ended up suffering, but the fact that shaking grass encounters were a thing in Unova bugged me, since they were generally things like emolga or the monkeys, and audino was generally 90% of the encounters
There were too many old pokemon in Kalos, making the new pokemon not feel special. But I liked how ORAS did the shaky grass. I just hope they bring back the dexnav. So helpful

Idk. These legends are way less detailed and all over the place than black and white’s and black and white 2’s. Every design choice for these starters and legends seems super deliberate and cohesive.
