The hour has come; we’re about to learn more about the next generation of Pokémon games coming to the Nintendo 3DS: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. - Grass starter is Rowlet; “Grass Quill Pokémon” w/ ability Overgrow. Also knows new low-level Grass-type attack “Leafage” that is available from when you receive it
- Fire starter is Litten; “Fire Cat Pokémon” w/ ability Blaze
- Water starter is Popplio; “Sea Lion Pokémon” w/ ability Torrent
- Alola Region
- Release date is November 18 in NA/JP and November 23 in EU

Hello! I’ve been petitioning for this for years! I would love another brand new type and I feel like a cosmic/space type would be phenomenal. And possibly one day I would love to see a cyber type! I feel like these could work realistically in the Pokemon world as opposed to other fan-suggested new types. Pokemon from space and Pokemon from the internet lol
You think they’ll introduce another type so soon after Fairy? Remember there were like 10 years between Steel/Dark and Fairy.
I think the Sun legendary is a pure fire type or fire steel and the Moon legendary is a Water/Flying type.

I can see it being an ice type definitely. I’m willing to bet that the Moon legendary is a water type since the moon controls tidal waves.

I’m betting on fire/steel for the lion and the bat will probably be dark/flying or maybe ghost/flying or maybe even ghost/fairy or something

There isn’t a specific starter that appeals to me right now. I like all of them but they have a Gen 5 feel to em. They also all remind me of Kingdom Hearts dreameaters…

everyone see the region map? It looks incomplete to me… Based off the scale of the buildings in the large “city,” it seems to be super zoomed in, and we’re not seeing many towns to travel too. Also, there are A LOT of roads–not routes–ROADS. I wonder what they are planning on doing with this whole car thing. If the region is based off Hawai’i, I’m assuming we’re only looking at the starting island (which doesn’t seem to be based off the big island, maybe Oahu). There’s a high probability we’re going to have a few others. 🙂
Yeah based on what we were shown I have a feeling that the map will be huge!!! The way the over world looks and everything I can’t imagine it being small. I hope that there are other a=islands that we can go to.

I’m making the prediction for final starter evolutions now: Grass/Flying, Fire/Poison and Water/Fairy.
Mine are Grass/Flying, Fire/Dark and Water/Fairy
I chose Poison because Litten gives me a toxic vibe: its fur literally contains oils.
I think the Forehead gives off Ninja vibes and Greninja is already Dark
I guess if Litten will become Poison then it would make more sense for Popplio to become Psychic.

Delphox and Emboar the most disappointing final evolutions ever.
Delphox is the reason I swapped my pick to Froakie at the last minute, Emboar isn’t that bad to me design-wise
Emboar is ok but there were so many different directions they could have gone with its design.
You’ve got a point… still it’s’ a nice sneaky dark type to be cat. I refuse to believe they gonna mess that up. And we have to consider that they had a scheme to the xy starter (the wizard, the ninja and the knight), so it was more accurate if they were all bipedal. I don’t think that’s the case here (I hope not).

My theory right now, is that Alola and Hoenn used to be one region, but the Alola legendary’s seperated the land and created Alola. Alola and Hoenn have a lot of similarities (from what I could see in the trailer) like both being tropical regions and having a volcano.
