Sorry that I didn’t upload my Ice Bucket Challenge video last night. Seeing as I still had to edit it and upload it to Youtube, I didn’t have the time yesterday. But it will likely come today!
In the meantime, we’ll do this Dae asks so there’s at least some sense of activity. It’s the calm before the storm (of actual news) I guess. But one thing that did happen was the reveal of the New 3DS (XL), a totally enhanced edition of both 3DS and 3DS XL. They will retail for nearly the same price as the old ones and are intended to replace them, seeing as they don’t have drawbacks like previous new revisions had. The most interesting them about them (for me) are the included extra shoulder buttons and analog nub, so you can play Circle Pad Pro games without that bulky accessory. Of course, it includes increased CPU and GPU power, which means it can render slightly more powerful games and will also reveal Xenoblade as an exclusive. I know some of you aren’t hapy with this, out of fear you have to buy a New 3DS to be able to play any games, a sentiment that largely comes from not having the available funds to buy a new console, which is a fair opinion. But since I do, and since I believe Xenoblade couldn’t have happened without New 3DS, I’m quite happy with the power boost. I’m sure that most games will be Dual System like they were for DSi and that they just featured improved textures and/or framerate.
I will be buying mine when it gets released in, sadly, 2015. Also because I bought my 3DS at launch which means I’ll have it in my possession for four years before I buy a new one. It’s about time something new got released! But what about you? Will you buy one? Do you want one but you’re not sure if you have the money available? And if you’ll buy one, do you want the regular or the XL? The faceplates for the regular makes it harder dear for XL-lovers, since they would miss out on the customisation option.

I look forward to seeing your Ice Bucket Challenge Dae! As for whether or not I’ll purchase the N3DS, my answer is, YES!!! I knew it was a good thing I didn’t buy the 3DS XL!!! I only have my regular 3DS that I bought a few months after it was released in the U.S. I’m very careful with my stuff, and it’ll last for quite some time.
I’ll buy the N3DS XL when an exclusive design is released for the Platinum Sequels!!! I’ll have to wait a lot longer until that happens. Maybe 2019.
I freaking love Pokemon Platinum, and to have game console with a Platinum style to it would make my dreams come true!!! :’)

At the moment i am happy with my XY 3DS XL but were they to announce a really cool Limited Edition Zelda or Pokemon version i cant say i wouldn’t be tempted. This is a nice release and the stay same price point is a respectable move by Nintendo.

Yes I plan to buy the new 3DS for the changeable plates. I’ve had my limited edition Purple 3DS since June of last year, and it’s time to upgrade; specially if it’s going to fix the lag on XY/ORAS.

I treasure my Pikachu 3DSXL, but if they announce Z, gen 7, or Majora’s Mask 3D for the New 3DS only….I think I might have to sell it and upgrade. I’m hoping for a Pikachu plate at least to make the switch easier 😛

I doubt Z or something will be strictly for it, it’s already in development. They might make certain features exclusive to it, but the game itself will be playable on both systems. Sorta like how Gen 5 had certain features exclusive to DSi

This reveal makes me upset because I JUST got my Zelda edition 3ds XL in DECEMBER I didn’t even have it for a year. I don’t mind the new models and I think they are actually really cool! I just hope that nothing pokemon or zelda related will be a new 3ds exclusive because I will be so disappointed… DX

I don’t like the extra little dent on the top of the 3DS where the camera is. Wish it was a completely flat surface like the XL. little things like that bother me XD

I’ve actually been thinking about amiibo tournaments. You train an amiibo as much as you can, customizing it’s special moves and improving it’s battle tactics and then having your amiibo fighting someone else’s as you watch from the sidelines. I could really see that becoming a thing. from ign boards
