In addition to showing off the newly revealed Mega Evolutions of Altaria, Salamence and Lopunny, we also get our first look at Horde Battles against Team Magma! The official site has also been updated with screenshots and more information.
The Pikachu which can wear outfits is called ‘Cosplay Pikachu’ and has a distinctive tail different than normal Pikachus. It has a dark heart-shaped mark and is the only Pikachu able to use costumes.
Contests will have an Introduction Round which judges your Pokémon’s conditions, which can be improved through the use of Pokéblocks, and then a Talent Round in which you have 5 turns to use moves. There are also combos which can give your score a boost, such as Focus Energy followed by Stone Edge. Through your performances you can also amass a fan following which you’ll see at the Hall entrances.
In a new feature, you can also take pictures with your Pokémon during the contest, as seen above.

Dragonite won’t get a mega because it’s basically a mega Dragonair, see it has ITE in the name and get’s totally redesigned with a new typing. And the mega stone is basically that stone on Dragonair’s neck. Das my opinion.

Some mega-evolutions feel like they are 3rd evolution of that Pokemon, like Alakazam. Some mega-evolutions feel like they are form changes of that Pokemon, like Lopunny. I love the this diversity of Megaevolution business. However, some feel like too try-hard, like Metagross and some feel like “let’s make it megaevolve”, like Venusaur. That’s a different aspect I personally don’t like. Afterall, we all have different taste and there’re lot for all to cherish.

Altaria got what is possibly the best for it. I couldn’t think better design for it. If you change the facial features of megaevolution, it can even fit for the actual evolution of it.
Mega Absol and Lucario are my faves!
Normal Lucario just seems so bland after seeing its megaevolution.

I’ve been out for so much time! But it is great to be back to PJ and the news are just amazing! I don’t know why, besides being cute and good looking, I’ve never been a big fan of Altaria but now I really want to use Mega Altaria and I know it has Dragon Pulse and Moonblast but I think that Mega Altaria will be better on the Physical side.
With access to Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Cotton Guard/Roost and Pixilate Return I think that it will be very useful! Let me know what you think 😀
