Well, August 2013’s issue that introduced Mega Evolutions, showed 6 in that issue, which were Absol, Ampharos, Blaziken, Lucario, Mawile, and Mewtwo. There could be 3 more on another page but chances are getting slimmer…
I just hate false hype especially when they promise it! But I will keep believing that there has to be some other page because last corocoro everyone thought everything had been leaked and then all of those pikachu forms were shown and other pages so you never know!!

It’s tied with Salamence. Salamence more resembles a European dragon and that was my vision of dragons growing up. And I love Dragons 😀 It brings back my childhood imagination with them really and reminds me of the Inheritance series. IT’s Mega is meh, but I’ll grow to love it somehow. It’s what happens with me xD
It seems the most ridable of all of the dragons so that’s why I like Salamence a lot 😮

It’ll be interesting to see how Contests are overhauled. This information at the moment doesn’t feel like enough to really give a deep insight. I’m sure the official site will explain the Contests in full detail later next week. 😀 Excited for that and artwork and screenshots of the new Mega Evolutions. Particularly a pic showing Mega Salamence with his arms out so everyone can shut the hell up about it being “armless” and a dumb design.

Feebas is definitely key in this picture, because there’s an arrow from it pointing towards Milotic, suggesting evolution. Why wouldn’t they simply just put a Milotic? Could it be suggesting a mega evolution? Not to mention the fact that it appears next to the mega evolution circle that had the mega Altaria/Salamence. And to top it all off, Milotic is also next to the image and text saying that mega evolution is usable in contest. And as we call obviously all tell, Milotic is the poster Pokemon for contests.
So why hasn’t mega Milotic been shown? I think that it can appear in Masuda’s gamescom video. I think it will feature a Milotic in a contest and show how the meter fills up, to the point where you can mega evolve. And at that point, we will all have out mega Milotic. 🙂

Must say, mega salamence annoys me slightly, as do all pokemon who were already beasts getting mega evos, it’s like having loads of legendaries. However, after mega garchomp and mega Meragross, all pseudos should get megas or else I think it would be a little unfair. Am loving mega Loppuny though! I really want mega Persian, purugly, delicatty and liepard too just so they have a place in competetive play.

Just different “language” actually. Since newborns will hatch in your region/language (probably ENG) it should work.

Yep. That’d work. The point about obtaining your own foreign ditto is, you wouldn’t have to find a foreign 5-6IV parent since you can just breed your own and then use the non-ENG 6IV Ditto so you’ll have a better chance at high IV’s.

I’m sad Mega Milotic wasn’t revealed, but happy I had another question answered about contests involving mega evolution. Plus, there’s always the chance it will get revealed later, as we still have a couple months until release.
I still think it will get a mega. I mean, why would the mention it in the same page where it says pokemon can mega evolve in contests if the “contest” pokemon cant mega evolve!?
This is what I’m thinking. They probably just want to tease fans so they can build hype, and reveal either in Junichi’s video or next month’s issue.
Or an unexpected trailer like Mega Sableye’s.

Does it really have to? There are tons of suggestions in the game and with all the megas we have so far.
well mega stones are just buffed up evolution stones right? so than if a pokemon drains the power from an evolution stone, it could still get power from the mega stone right?
I’m not sure it works that way. You can only have one stone in an evolutionary line, seen in Arcanine or Ninetales for example. They don’t have an evo past Arcanine or Ninetales because they’re evos are already maxed out. So they act as Growlith and Vulpix’s megas.

Oh. It just has to be obtained originally by someone with a foreign 3DS, if I am correct.
This is hard actually, because I have the same issue. I have a North American game set to English and a Japanese game set to English and I think they both count as the same ‘region’. I don’t think there’s a JPN symbol when I trade the Japanese game’s Pokémon over.

I never understood the Kyogre vs. Groudon – Flood vs. Draught.
Flooding something requires water, which must be taken from somewhere else. Drying up something simply moves all the water away from that place. Unless Kyogre and Groudon can create and destroy mass at will, neither of them can ever accomplish the goals of both Teams.
Yeh if you look at from the point of view of the water cycle it doesn’t make sense. The drought dries up the water, stores it in clouds and then the drizzle causes the clouds to expel that water uncovering the sun again.
So it’s pretty dumb
I think it’s more about the domination of land versus domination of the seas, using droughts and/or floods to accomplish their goals. Technically, they both loose because of science, but it’s a really interesting concept regardless.

I was interested with how much the Pokemon franchise is currently worth with just the games as the equation. Currently, without the tax, fluctuations, and etc. The Pokemon franchise is worth over $9,555,000,000! As a whole with all the merchandise and other endeavors throughout the years, the Pokemon franchise is worth over $30 billion (USD)!
I’m just going out on a bold limb here and say that Mega Milotic is a certainty, because:
1) Contest themes
2) The Megas revealed could be linked to the 5 categories for the contests:
– Mega Metegross – Smart (I know Tough works too)
– Mega Salamence – Cool
– Mega Lopunny – Tough
– Mega Altaria – Cute
– Unknown Mega? – Beauty (*coughnotreallymegamiloticcough*)
3) Why put Feebas and Milotic in CoroCoro with MEGAS and involving contests? It would be meaningless if they are not hinting towards the fact that Milotic has indeed received a Mega Evolution.

Overall, these leaks were…pretty good! However, to call this a Mega Evolution Scoop would be an understatement. We only got three new Megas, and 2/3 of them were expected. I still like all three, but I wish there was more. The shiny Beldum Event disappoints me. The Pikachu cosplay stuff. Eh. That stuff could have been saved for another time. The other contest leaks, I like.

Well, last year’s scoop was just when mega evolution was introduced, so it was larger than this.
I have a feeling that while M. Milotic wasn’t in CoroCoro it still has a chance of being a thing. I’m not someone who’s super exctied for M. Milotic bc I really don’t care, but I am willing to put down that the announcement at Gamescom from Masuda will b M. Milotic and they just didn’t put it in CororCoro so they’d have the exclusive announcement.

It’s basically teasing a mega Milotic. You’re not out of the water yet.
It didn’t specifically say Milotic can’t mega evolve, but what it does say is that “we found certain Pokemon that are fit for contests”.
On top of that, it’s featured on the page where the mega’s are shown, and it’s also featured in Smash (with zekrom/reshiram). At this point, IMO it’s pretty much a given that milotic will mega evolve.
Why would they say that in the magazine? It doesn’t make any sense to announce that something is NOT going to happen.

Yep. Bank was out for 3 days in japan, they removed it, and stuff like Totodile etc became really rare, so I bred a whole box full, and starting depositng them on GTS requesting poke’s I didnt have and completed it that way.
In fact, I’m working on completing it for the second time on my digital version. Already obtained 115 and only have 1 badge LOL.
What I did so far was, I caught a level 3 pidgey on route 2, I placed it on GTS and lied in the description (I wrote “6IV Jolly HA) and requested Palkia. Waited a whole day and when I checked, someone sent me Palkia (I feel bad for them lmao). So then what I did with Palkia was trade it for Dialga, deposted Dialga and trade it for Giratina, etc etc. You use a legend to cycle through GTS and grab all the legends you need
*Also, another tip is that, to get shiny charm, you only need to obtain 705 of the 719 pokemon. You don’t need to capture mythical legends like Darkrai, Mew etc.

Here’s a few videos on it. I learned about IV breeding this generation and found these videos to be helpful.
There’s an IV checker in the Kiloude City Pokemon center with Purple hair who says something about judging the potential of your Pokemon.
Here’s an article on that stat judge:

Once you find Pokemon with the right IVs. You want to find the beneficial nature for the Pokemon you’re trying to breed. IF you have no Pokemon that have the nature you’re looking for, check for other Pokemon within the egg group. You then attach an everstone to the Pokemon with the right nature to pass down the nature to the offspring. The Destiny Knot is another item which is used to pass down IVs from a parent. So you want to give that to the Pokemon with the better IVs.
EX:
Noivern (Timid Male)
31/x/x/31/x/x
Noivern (Naive Female)
31/31/x/31/x/x
With those two parents. I would give the destiny knot to the female because it has the IVS i need to pass down.
I would give the everstone to the male because It has the nature I want.
The 31’s represent Perfect IVs. The X’s represent Ivs that are less than 31. The Ivs that the judge doesn’t list.
It might seem tricky but once you get it down. It’s rather simple.

It’s actually pretty easy. You swap out the parent with less IVs for the offspring with the better IVs :3 Think of it like selective breeding to gain a trait. 😮

As I said before, I agree with Heavy’s theory personally. However, what you wrote is a paradox in itself.There’s no way of knowing that we WON’T get Stone Megas if we don’t get stone megas because megas will still exist in the future and Pokemon will continue going on. There’s no official word stating that we won’t. Heavy provided evidence but his theory is still just a theory.

For Black 2, I decided I wanted to challenge myself so did sort of a Nuzlocke type thing
So I start of with my starter (Tepig), then every gym I beat, I allowed myself to trade 1 pokemon from my White (Pawniard, Dewebble, Chinchou, Swablu and…another I can’t quire remember). They were all traded at level 10, fully EVd.
It was sort of a challenge because challenge mode, only allowed to use those pokemon, none that I caught, no Exp.Share to level up traded pokemon (but had boosted Exp)
Don’t super plane your Pokes 😉
But even with that, I still feel like it’s not hard enough. They could have given us a challenge mode similar to the one we got in Gen V.

Okay so serious question- How much of what they changed in Emerald do you think they will implement into ORAS?
I know people keep saying it is a Ruby/Sapphire remake but HGSS was a Gold/Silver remake and they took everything from Crystal and actually expanded it even further.
The main things im wondering about:
– Do you think they will have the Magma Hideout be in Mt.Chimney like in Emerald or will it be near Lilycove City?
– Will they keep Match Call or implement it into something else?
– Will the extra appearances of the evil teams be kept e,g, Team Magma at the Space Centre?
– Will they keep Trainer Hill, Desert Underpass etc
Also i was wondering about how much they will change based off of things added in later generation…
– Will Wally perhaps have Gallade instead of Gardevoir or maybe he may have one in OR and the other in AS?
– Will the Elite Four and Gym Leaders have Mega’s upon rematches?

I know that… i was thinking more along the lines of the stuff they added in Emerald that contradicts the original storylines of Ruby and Sapphire such as changing the Magma Hideout location as that would need to be changed to allow for another way for the player to go to undersea cavern… such as if they included the Space Centre plot they could expand that to lead into the undersea cavern maybe?

And maybe not the Gym Leaders having Megas (maybe when you rebattle them) but E4 should have one.

Honestly If I could have it my way, I would want the Emerald Storyline. Including Scott, the Battle Frontier, The epic climax between both legends, Magma Hideout in mt. Chimney, Mosdeep Space Centre bit….the whole works.

I say Z because XYZ 3D dimensions, which makes sense with the Norse lore that is Xerneas’, Yveltal’s, and ZYgarde’s origin and it can still be a sequel, just one game. Just cause B2W2 had two games does not mean a future sequel will be the same.
What reason is there for two games? It’s not like Zygarde is gonna combine with the other two >.< It was a gimmick only for Kyruem that shouldn't be used again.
Trust me i would love for it to be just one game but they may look at sales of BW2 and decide otherwise.. id rather they didnt.
But there still is no use for two games though. It made sense for B2W2 because Kyurem had the merging thing with the other two and it was using N’s Pokemon that he caught from the previous games.
The other legendary wasn’t mentioned when you played the games, only the exclusive legendary.
And besides, Zygarde needs the focus. Kyurem got a focus with the merging thing, no need to redo it to promote Zygarde with the same gimmick that everyody knows about. THey can give him a Primal form or something to make it stronger.
I hope they do that, i really dont want them to try and trio the three up again… i like that they ere all pretty seperate for a chnage.

Given the shiny Beldum event, what are your opinions on shiny events like this? I personally like them in general but being on this end of it (having the shiny that’s being given away) i understand why people don’t like them at times. What do you guys think?
It’s nice for the people who don’t have it/have terrible luck with shinies, but I can understand how upsetting it is for the people who actually work hard to get one.
I approve of it as long as it’s not very often.
I’m honestly dissappointed about this. Being one of the greatest, if not, THE greatest shiny in existance, it’s such a let down to have it’s shiny be so common now. I question why GF would take that glory away from it. 🙁

Quick Rant About the “Stone Evo Mon Don’t Mega Evo Theory”:
Yes, it is very convincing because of the fact that backs it up. No Evo Stone Pokemon has ever gone Mega. However, this does not mean they will never go Mega. GF has their ways. They could find a loop hole around this and create a new branch of Mega Evolution, like how Primal Devolution is a branch of Mega Evolution.
My theory for this new Mega Evo Branch, is that, Evo Stone Mon can hold half of their Mega Stone, the other half being the Evo Stone they absorbed.
I believe in this theory because some Evo Stone Pokemon could use them, and it’s be awesome! Also, some Evo Stone Mon’s counterparts got a Mega. Look at Gallade, who’s counterpart, Gardevoir got a Mega. I just isn’t fair.

Greninja – Water/Dark – Protean
get’s a huge special attack increase at the cost of it’s speed decreasing & it’s defenses rising.
Delphox – Fire/Psychic – Levitate
get’s huge Sp. Atk & Speed increases. The stick that Delphox once wielded is now used to fly on like a real witch.
Chesnaught – Grass/Steel – Stance Change
A very tricky mega. The 100+ stat boost is applied differently depending on which stance it’s in. While in attacking-stance it’s Attack & Speed are increased greatly, but using Spiky Shield will revert you to defensive Mega Chesnaught where your defenses are increased.
Stance Change is more of a
Signature Ability for Aegislash
No one has a signature “move” or ability anymore. They can but it can always be given to someone else.

I can use my Powersaves to extract my save file from XY, open it up in PKHex, edit some stuff, but when I try to send it back it won’t let me… why? Because Powersave’s & Save Dangel block you from sending a decrypted file back – the signature doesn’t match your unique XY signature.

That’s not what makes pokemon pokemon. As much as I love BW’s story, characters, and music, I just can’t forgive GF for removing old gen mon until post-game. Of course, Mawile TRUELY finished the type chart as he was my first Fairy. :3

If it were to gain another type, I think it’s more likely to be Water/Dragon than Water/Fairy
It makes more sense IMO.
If it does become Water/Dragon, the move Freeze Dry will be VERY popular in the new meta to check mega milotic. She’ll be 4x weak to Freeze Dry if she’s water/dragon.
Lapras, Mamoswine, Articuno, Cryogagonal are fine users of it.

It takes 3 giga drains from a MVenusaur to kill the most common milotic set
But the question is, what can a MMilotic do to it? Ice Beam? Thick Fat. Scald? Maybe it gets a burn but that’s resisted damage. Potential Dragon Pulse? That’s not doing a lot.
The thing is that there are more counter to Mvenasuar then there would be a Mmilotic (if the type stays water)

Pokémon don’t need to be truly perfect to battle with them. Your own battling skills are worth 100 times more than that 2% increase in stats.

And if you have ever battled, You would no 1 stat point makes all the difference
You only need Showdown to help you plan and test your teams. After that, it’s breeding for the real game.
