In addition to showing off the newly revealed Mega Evolutions of Altaria, Salamence and Lopunny, we also get our first look at Horde Battles against Team Magma! The official site has also been updated with screenshots and more information.
The Pikachu which can wear outfits is called ‘Cosplay Pikachu’ and has a distinctive tail different than normal Pikachus. It has a dark heart-shaped mark and is the only Pikachu able to use costumes.
Contests will have an Introduction Round which judges your Pokémon’s conditions, which can be improved through the use of Pokéblocks, and then a Talent Round in which you have 5 turns to use moves. There are also combos which can give your score a boost, such as Focus Energy followed by Stone Edge. Through your performances you can also amass a fan following which you’ll see at the Hall entrances.
In a new feature, you can also take pictures with your Pokémon during the contest, as seen above.

I love how Mega Altaria has a lavender hue to it. It’s so gorgeous! Can’t wait to use one as my Mega in Alpha Sapphire! Though I might have to put that on hold if Mega Sharpedo is a full bodied shark that looks really badass. Lol.

Yeah on the official site it says: “There’s a lot more you can do with the Pokémon Contest Spectacular. First, using communication features, you can play together with your friends. Compete with your friends and family members on the contest stage!” It doesn’t explicitly state on-line but communication features does suggest that this will be the case.

You should need 4 Beldum to get a Metagross. 2 in party -> Both level 20 or whatever -> Metang -> 2 Metangs at level 40 or whatever -> Metagross.

Sorry, I think in order to get a Metang, you should have to have to get 2 Beldums to level 20, then those 2 make one Metang. Then you need 2 Metangs at level 40 to get 1 Metagross.

Im pretty sure Dragonite will remain Dragon/Flying as the most obvious thing to happen for Dragonite would be for its tiny wings to expand into full on dragon wings.
I could see it maybe becoming just pure dragon since it’s the first dragon pokemon. But your theory also makes sense and I like more, provided it gets access to some better flying moves!
There have to be more hoenn megas. Milotic, Flygon, Kecleon, Seviper, and Zangoose (to name a few) are all getting cheated if there aren’t!

Nah, for Dragonite is basically mega Dragonair.
Notice how Milotic’s Dex number in the Hoenn Dex has been bumped up from 141
to 146. This does confirm that an expansion of the Hoenn Dex will be in these games. Likely to include to evolutions of older Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex such as Dusknoir and random Pokémon from other regions such as Buneary and Lopunny and a few others. Also, refresh for picture if you can’t see it.

Good idea! Mauville was always the center point for the Hoenn region I feel. Or maybe they’ll have Northern and Southern Shelleos and Gastrodon. One for the north seas of Hoenn, the other for the south seas. Since Hoenn’s seas are geographically like it.

If Shelleos and Gastrodon are included in the Dex, I hope they have Northern and Southern Shelleos and Gastrodon.
