Before I begin, I’d like to apologise for the lack of updates over the past week or so. We have now given competitors in our tournament ample time to complete battles within their groups, and it’s now time to update everyone on what exactly will be happening in the coming days.
Competitor Disqualifications
All competitors have battled at least once, and as of posting this article any battles completed from this day forward will no longer count towards your group battles score*. As we mentioned we have provided everyone with ample time to complete battles, there’s no longer an excuse for not having contacted others in your group.
We have now calculated the scores of battles completed and are able to provide a list of people who have progressed into the Final Elimination Stage of the tournament. However, the following people have sadly not made it through:

*Players from Canalave Group (MissMilotic, Defensive Bastiodon and Chaos) and Fallarbor Group (Lasgorndalf, MiniryuNinja and Rheneas) all need to battle one another once more in order to break the tie in scores. These battles should be completed as soon as possible, preferably before the end of August 13th.

I have another theory:
This one isn’t really a theory, but whatever. As we all know, there is a foreigner from the other region who gives you the “Strange Souvenir.” Pretty much everybody has suspected that to be a new legendary in upcoming games. There are also white statues in the pokemon league that could be a new legendary, as it does not really resemble any existing pokemon, besides kind of resembling reshiram. In the Dragonworks chamber in Kalos, Drasna is hiding behind two dragon wings and one dragon head. That dragon clearly has a design, and the dragon does not exist or look like any dragon type that exists from what I know. That may be hinting at a new or ancient pokemon. In the parfum palace gardens, from a birds eye view there are four pokemon, the one on the lower right is a pyroar, the top right is a solrock and the bottom right is a chandelure. However the top left pokemon is unknown. People have suspected it to be cryogonal or a bastiodon, however it’s still unknown. A ground type eeveelution was also speculated as the statue next to the parfum palace garden bridge has a statue of a trainer with two ground type pokemon: golurk and palpitoad, and a normal type eevee. However that does not mean anything to me. People have thought that something might happen if you put pyroar, solrock, chandelure, golurk, eevee, and palpitoad in your party.

I actually really like mega salamence’s design now.. it looks awesome in gameplay and i think it’s just that it’s official artwork makes it’s wings look a bit crooked, which made it weird for me. I think gamefreak’s mega evolution designs are really original, because they add the weirdest or the coolest things that nobody would ever expect. I mean compare the fanmade megas to the actual ones… but on the other hand to the megas that some people think are really ugly and badly designed.. maybe it’s because the fans are creating too many of their own megas and gamefreak has to change their design so that it doesn’t look like they’re copying anybody

You and your friend must reunite Team Aqua and Magma to take down Team Aero and save the world.
Boring. Just rehashing the plot points of Team Aqua and Magma and trying to make it fresh. (Not trying to be rude.)

I think that Z should just be it’s own game so that we can TRULY enjoy the Kalos region. Kalos already took TOO MUCH influence from Kanto. I don’t want Hoenn to dive into Kalos as well. Kalos needs some originality. Pokemon Z can bring it to justice IMO.

Unova was something that not many people liked until the sequels so I think Kalos should get a second chance. That being said, I kind of disagree. I would actually like both. As you mentioned, it’s a forgotten Pokemon and I think it needs more love. It could become pretty good competitively too. But, if it’s either one or the other, definitely Milotic.
Agreed. Milotic is more likely, although they should emphasize megs on Pokemon that can be given another chance to become better rather than picking fan favorites. I mean that in general. An example could be Garchomp. It doesn’t NEED mega. It just got one because of it being a fan favorite. Also, it has a decent Sp def. It could Gain a Sp.Atk and Def boost to make it a special attacking wall.
I completely agree. While it’s nice to see fan favourites get Megas, they could be given to so many other Pokemon that are forgotten due to their lack of usability in competitive play. Like Mightyena, Stoutland, Sunflora, and some regional bugs like Beautifly to name a few. I’m glad they gave Lopunny a Mega though. It’s not seen a lot. A step in the right direction imo.

I like the moveset. Fake out and Drain Punch is definitely a yes. Dizzy Punch is okay, but maybe look into Return/Facade. Any of the punch moves will be okay, it gives you coverage.

Don’t worry about your voice. There are programs you can use like Camtasia (I’m using a trial of Camtasia 8) to raise your voice’s volume 😀

Is there an easier way to breed for a specific HP type? There is a video I’m currently watching that’s nearly 30 minutes. I want to advance from a 5-star breeder to a six, then EVENTUALLY, a seven-star breeder. (I kind of rank the breeding skills, so you can just ignore that tidbit)
If you’re lucky to have a certain HP Type on a parent, then have that parent hold the Destiny Knot, you’ll usually get that type. 🙂

The “easiest” way, which was easier when I could use an editor on gen 5 game, was to edit in a ditto with the ideal hidden power stats. Then I’d breed with that. 🙂
BTW I lost all those dittos somehow; maybe they’re in my R4 that is gone, the only thing I have left are the good iv hidden powers I already bred and/or got from other people. If they’re male, I can attempt to use them to breed new blood.
I really don’t like using cheat devices. But I wish I had one for Emerald, because I never had an event other than the roaming Lati.
Yeah, cheating devices to make breeding parents are a gray area, coz the offspring comes out completely legit…

Your not alone! I was hoping they would show a Dragon-Type Eeveelution instead of the monster we call Sylveon!
Blame Emolga for filling the spot in the dex that would have been for a Dragon Eeveelution and crushing our Dragon-loving hearts.
why is this?
I think there was a Pokedex leak and the was an empty space after Sylveon, making some believe a potential Dragon Eeveelution. Consider the pattern:
Starting Gen II, there was Espeon, the Psychic Eeveelution, and we all know how broken the Psychic-type was in Gen I. They introducing one of the two new types to combat Psychic – Dark. In the Pokedex, Espeon is first and what comes after it? Umbreon, the Dark Eeveelution.
In Gen IV, there was two more Eeveelutions. The first one in order is Leafeon, the Grass Eeveelution, and what comes after it? Glaceon, the Ice Eeveelution.
The pattern is that in the Pokedex, the Eeveelutions, starting in Gen II mind you not count Gen I, were listed as one type, then next type stronger than the former type. But, then again the Eeveelution were all types based on the special category from Gen III on down to I. Some think because of this that we will get a Dragon Eeveelution, but it does not fit the pattern. Others believe that it will actually be a Poison Eeveelution or a Steel Eeveelution, both of which are strong against the Fairy Eeveelution, Sylveon, but both types were counted as physical from Gen I – III.
When it turns out Emolga is right after Sylveon, every dang theory about two new Eeveeluitons was blown out the friggin’ window and shat upon by the scumbag, Emolga!!

Fair enough really. I can understand why that’s upsetting and I completely agree. But I would love any of the three types to be the other eevee (dragon poison or steel, my personal favorite). But I would prefer it to be dragon because i want my reptilian eevee.

Well if the “other region” is really the setting for the other games of gen 6 and there’s the other half of the pokedex, i really hope that the other region has the Dragon. That’s my theory. and they just revealed sylveon because of the new fairy type which is perfectly fine with me. promoting a new type and all.

Yes :3 But not every weekend. I can’t sometimes due to going to home games due to me potentially being in marching band/other happenings around campus because I want to. And I wanted to come back to support and see my old marching band 😀
