‘Delta Emerald’ Trademarked in Japan

In a surprising bit of news, it has come to light that Nintendo trademarked デルタエメラル (Delta Emerald) in Japan. This is most likely just to cover their bases and make sure the name is reserved because of its similarity to the announced Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes coming to the Nintendo 3DS in November 2014. Other Pokémon-themed names have been trademarked before and Nintendo has also purchased a range of .com domain names for games that would never actually exist. Don’t get your hopes up 😉  This was discovered by a 2ch user and the thread can be viewed on Hachima Kikou.

Even so, this is sure to draw some speculation from the fandom at large 😉

  1. Wasn’t Beautifly’s Sp. Atk. increased in XY?

*imagines May’s Beautifly using more powerful Sp. Attacks*

    • I don’t plan on watching it. I’m too used to the Japanese Dubs. Also, no offense to those who enjoyed OS with all your heart, but I don’t like the English Dubs Opening.

  4. I like keeping up with the anime but the lack of pokemon people own is annoying
I would’ve thought Serena would’ve got a Flabebe or Skiddo by now, and Clemont kinda needs a Helioptile….
    *le sigh*
That’s the problem with only having 69 new pokemon

  5. Remember that award ceremony I said I wouldn’t go to? Turned out I got 7 certificates. (And apparently the school forgot something, and now they have to host another for a selected few, which I won’t go, again.) 😀

  6. GUYS I HAVE A THEORY

remember when the pokemon band of theives game said they would give a pokemon? What if this pokemon is hoopa! it makes sense. Hoopa’s event talks about it being an elusive theme so Hoopa would fit the theme of this theif game. In addition it gives a perfect oppurturnity to showcase the se the event pokemon like the daincie event for the movie
