In a surprising bit of news, it has come to light that Nintendo trademarked デルタエメラル (Delta Emerald) in Japan. This is most likely just to cover their bases and make sure the name is reserved because of its similarity to the announced Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes coming to the Nintendo 3DS in November 2014. Other Pokémon-themed names have been trademarked before and Nintendo has also purchased a range of .com domain names for games that would never actually exist. Don’t get your hopes up 😉 This was discovered by a 2ch user and the thread can be viewed on Hachima Kikou.
Even so, this is sure to draw some speculation from the fandom at large 😉

:DD Always preferred Emerald’s story and fighting two teams, so this is great news if it turns out to be a future game. Makes me wonder why they would release ORAS as well as Delta Emerald instead of just Delta Emerald. I think this would be the first time this has happened. Perhaps it’s a sequel?
This somewhat proves that it will be forms not Mega’s for kyogre/groudon, mainly because if it’s a third version there is added features and you can’t really add in Mega’s (x and y has R1,2 and 3 mega stones hidden in the coding as well as the latis) which could mean they are forms(I really hope so I want to keep my alpha kyogre like that way)

But why would they only trademark DELTA Emerald?
There are PLENTY of things to consider:
-In 2009, Pokemon Black, White, Grey, Brown, & Purple were all trademarked. Did we ever see the ladder three? Nope.
-“Delta Emerald” doesn’t have the same connotation as Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. Omega means Ending, Alpha means beginning, there is no greek character for “Middle”.
-IF, and I say IF… this game does end up really happening, it could possibly combine the events of ORAS and XY, and consolidate them to one big final game? Delta represents a triangle. Here is what it denotes in Mathematics, looks like it could relate to XY:

Exactly. I don’t see it getting released. And if it does, will definitely under go a title change to “Infinite Emerald”. Delta Emerald literally makes no sense, but that was the most common fan suggested name. I actually quite remember like 5 people here guessing DeltaEmerald or SigmaEmerald, and a few over at Gamefaqs, but Delta & Sigma literally have no signifance or meaning and don’t correlate with “Beginning & End”. Infinite Emerald would actually make sense.
I think they registered it because it was a common suggested name and they didn’t want anyone running off with a fake game with this title.

I’m predicting Wallace will be the 8th Gym Leader and Steven will be the Champion. And after beating the game I predict Wallace to then become the Champion for all future visits to the Elite 4, Steven becomes the Super Boss, and when you re-match Gym Leaders, Juan takes Wallace’s place.

I don’t want another remake of Kanto. There’s quite literally no memorable landmarks there. And we already did the cool stuff from 1st Gen inside of XY already:
-We chose our Kanto starters
-We caught Mewtwo post game
-We caught 3 legendary birds post game
-We caught Snorlax blocking the road & woke it up with flute
-Santalune Forest has the same structure as Viridian Forest.
-We got a Trivia Gym in Lumiose.
-Can pretty much catch about 140 of the 151 Pokemon in XY. I don’t see a point on Kanto again.

Delta Emerald could be the mysterious new 3DS game that might get revealed at E3 this year. But something bugs me, why not reveal Delta Emerald at the same time as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? TRUE STORY. Guys, so I had a dream last night that I was walking through my neighborhood at dusk, and in the door to one of the houses slightly opened and I heard a voice telling me to come closer. When I got to the porch of the house, I realized it was Junichi Masuda, although his face was still covered in darkness. Then he told me: “No Omega Ruby nor Alpha Sapphire news during E3” then he slammed the door shut. I then ran up to the door and started hitting it asking why we were not getting any ORAS news during E3 and started begging for something to be revealed. So because of this, we’re not getting any ORAS news during E3. Sorry to dissapoint. :/

One of the main reasons i want this to happen is because i always tried imagining the Rayquaza scene where it stops Groudon and Kyogre. It gave me chills as a little kid, and is by far one of my favorite parts of third gen as a whole.

Yeah i feel like emerald made you do that more. I only say this because you face Team Aqua, therefore helping Magma, but then you face off against MAgma more frequently, therefore helping aquas goals. Just too much helping evil people in my eyes. That was the only flaw i found in emeralds plots

Choosing E4 challenges is more tactical but doing them in order is potentially more difficult in my opinion…

Yeah I agree with that, seeing as how the demographic for Pokemon is now going up to 8+ kids(With all the life and death of Kalos and the liberation in Unova), a more difficult challenge is better
I’m serious, I hope Nintendo/GF realizes their audience is older.
They already have(as I mentioned in the 2 plotlines above) but they haven’t been able to implement a way to make challenges easy for the younger kids but hard for the older kids

i don’t know, i prefer the hardness being in the post game. not that i want the actual campaign to be easy, but i don’t want to have to be stuck on a route, training a pokemon and gaining very little experience, just because i was unable to take out one of their pokemon

Entei – Available if the player chooses Treecko as their starter. Roams Hoenn post game. Has its Hidden Ability Flash Fire.
Suicune – Available if the player chooses Torchic as their starter. Roams Hoenn post game. Has its Hidden Ability Water Absorb.

Some gyms in XY I liked, like the fairy gym and electric gym and psychic gym, despite it being easy. His is up there too 😀

If there were to be a remake of an extension such as Emerald, I think Theta is better because the symbol for Theta can be easily integrated into Rayquaza design since Theta is a circle with a line going through it.

What’s your set up like?
Well, I have OCD so my room is very clean, with gaming memorabilia being the main focus on one wall. Just yesterday I put all of my games on two shelves with Club Nintendo stuff in between (these are collinear shelves), and I have small Pokemon and Zelda shrines on two shelves below that. Pieces from my old Power Miners and Atlantis Lego collections are on the top shelves. This is all on the wall near my door, so I would put one speaker near the entrance, one in front of that and one on the opposite side. I’m also going to add a computer monitor to play Wii and GameCube games on top of my dresser soon.

Well since i squat in my basement (avoiding the stereotype)
its basically a big ol’ white table with the couch in front of it with a big ol’ flat screen on a wire frame shelf with N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U and XBox and i giant bookcase within the wall filled with old junk, dvds games and bins
i also have exercise equipment (Bench Table and a very worn out Punching Bag)
Its a little slice of heaven but sometimes i want to get my room in order but since my youngest brother’s computer is down there I rather not leave him all alone and most importantly there’s Netflix down there
I’ll have two of those five consoles down very soon! 😛
I’ll eventually get the Wii U in here once my sister stops having interest in it, but that might take a couple years. I’d rather play the Wii U on our big flat-screen, but I like doing things in the comfort of my clean room. I might get the PS3 as well, if we end up getting a PS4 for movies.

I have at least 24 fair sized rocks scattered throughout my room including my giant one with Goggely eyes and lens-less 3D glasses Whom i affectionately call Andrew Rockefeller
That literally made me wipe dust off my shelf out of sheer terror. Sounds a lot like my dad’s office actually, minus the video game collectibles and rocks.

Work on ORAS started right after HGSS released. Gamefreak worked together with Nintendo on the 3DS to implement a certain ‘secret sauce’. This was implemented in the 3DS hardware but due to software development delays couldn’t be unlocked in XY yet. It’s now ready to be used in ORAS.
What it exactly pertains to is to be revealed at E3.

I was working on an article that discussed the transition from RBY->FRLG and GSC->HGSS and how to relates to RSE->ORAS. It’s on hold currently as I have finals until June 27th.

No way. It’s not weak to and can kill fairies, once it’s HA is released it will be even more awesome, has a sweet design, unique typing, crazy good special defense and decent defense and special attack. It’s speed is horrendous though. Other than speed and hp it has higher base stats than Altaria. Altaria gets dragon dance but still sucks.

It may be able to take one if you trained it in defense :/ Or if you ran a trick room team it would do quite well. But yeah still better than Altaria.

I heard a rumour that Steven in ORAS will be a Mega Evolution researcher. Apparently he will give you the mega stone for your starter Pokémon. If this is true then we will get Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert. But I think you need 3 Gym Badges first though.

I much prefer May and Dawn, but hopefully when she gets an interesting goal she’ll become a better character, because at the moment, I can’t see her doing a lot of hands on stuff like previous female companions.
One of the best actual episodes of pokemon ever, was when harley tricked max into saying an embarrassing secret about her during the contest, so the whole crowd starts laughing at her explicitly, and even with that, she still wins.

The gen 1 and gen 2 where the best IMO. It didn’t feel childish or immature. Now when I watch unova or Kalos anime.. I feel like a 2 year old and I think some of my brain cells die.
One thing i miss the most is the announcer during the league. The old announcer was so amazing, I hate the new one

remember when the pokemon band of theives game said they would give a pokemon? What if this pokemon is hoopa! it makes sense. Hoopa’s event talks about it being an elusive theme so Hoopa would fit the theme of this theif game. In addition it gives a perfect oppurturnity to showcase the se the event pokemon like the daincie event for the movie
