As you hopefully all remember we announced last year that we would be holding a network-wide PokéJungle tournament. We opened sign-ups and had an amazing response. However, we didn’t quite feel we were ready to begin the tournament, there were things we hadn’t planned for and dozens of loopholes. Now, we’re ready to announce our tournament again, and open sign-ups right off the bat.
The PokéJungle Tournament 2014 will take place during a few weeks over summer this year, after which our first Champion will be announced. Due to the tournament running over several weeks we ask that you only sign up if you know for certain you’ll be available to take part in each round. At the time of writing we haven’t fully decided how many rounds there will be, but each round will run for a total of one week.
Using the Swiss format for battling trainers will gain points across each round, until all rounds are complete and the Champion decided. The Swiss format for battling allows us to match players of similar skills level in battles. Of course we’re open to suggestions if you don’t feel this format works best.
It is important that if you wish to take part, you fill the form below with correct information. If we believe the information you have provided is incorrect we will sadly have to disqualify you from the tournament. If you wish to back out of the tournament after signing up we will provide a form later for you to fill out, it’s likely back outs will have to count as a forfeit. Sign-ups spots are limited. Once filled we will allow a further 10 people to sign-up and act as back-up competitors should another back out before the first round is completed Official tournament rules, requirements and information will be published soon. Rules can be expected to be a slight alteration of the Official VGC rules. Prizes and awards are yet to be decided.

How do you unregister?

Okay. Decide what Pokemon you want to be and use and what you want to do in the army. We have more than this most likely, but here goes:
1. Front line – consists of large, powerful pokemon holding “weapon” pokemon
2. Whoever is behind the front few lines – Fast, sneaky pokemon with ranged attacks or pokemon
3. HQ – smart pokemon, most likely psychic pokemon that communicate well
4. Air support – flying pokemon
5. Spies and intel – Fast sneaky pokemon, most likely dark types
6. Spellcaster guy dudes – really just fairy or psychic pokemon
7. Water support – fast or large water pokemon
8. Pranksters – Them status conditions priority.
That would help in oir war. But I’m afraid Earthen, our powerhouse would leave.
I wonder how he’d feel if Game Freak gave us a Ground Type Prankster.

I usually specialize in close-up, physical combat. However, I want to try something different, and be a long range attacker. In shooting games, I prefer to use the sniper. So I’d like to be a Spellcaster (Delphox perhaps).

I’ll be leading my all powerful Earthen Army
1: I Have a Massive Waves of Rhydons that fully armored with spiky Armor, laying siege to everything in their path! (Battle Captain Rhyperior)
2: As for light footed Foot Solders i’ll have corps of Nidoking and Nidoqueen that’ll attack with beserker fury! and rounding the sides walls of Hippowdon and Camerupt blocking attacks with their Protect
3: My HQ…doesn’t really exist, i’ll just have a group of Claydol commanders giving orders telepathically and providing support with Safeguard and Ice Beam/Psychic
4: My squadrons of Flygon and Gliscor will cover air control providing cover with Sandstorms and dropping Rock Tombs up a head enemy lines, and a powerful air fleet of Golurk
5: My Scouts will consist of quick and light footed Sandslash and Excadrill, who’s small bodies allow them to hide and gather Intel, and for added fun cripple the enemies with Poison Jab and Night Slashes and then escaping quickly underground
6: Like I said i have groups of Claydol, Camerupt and Nidoking and Queen with elemental support
7: my naval fleet of Quagsire, Swampert, Gastrodon and Seismitoad
can handle all my Sea and River missions
8: finally my Trappers will consist of a massive underground squad of Dugtrio laying sinkholes and Stealth Rock traps near enemy line

Is it sad for me to say that I never know what supereffective attacks to use against Rock/Ground type Pokémon in Inverse Battles (besides Electric)?
Inverse Battles are the most confusing thing ever!

People get Mega’s of favourites but not of those who need it. It’s unfair and almost boosting already powerful pokemon(that don’t require much of a brain to use) more power.

Oh, you’re talking about Game Freak favoritism. The fanbase can scream as much as they want, in the end only Game Freak gets to decide. XD But favoritism keeps the majority of the fans interested in their franchise. I mean, most would like to see their first starter *cough* Charizard*cough* evolves further.
favouritism is fueled by the fan base over time. If Mega’s was removed, everything would be equal again and no one would be moaning about how some are OP so on. Pokemon need better move pools and stats not a crapton of stats on some pokemon that they don’t even need
Several Pokémon needed the Mega Evolution though, such as Mawile, Houndoom, Manectric, Aggron. Mega Evolution gave them a chance to shine in the battle field again. Before that, rarely anyone would use them.
Abilities would have fixed that so easily. And some of those have the move pool that can’t support them
Couldn’t have said it better myself. And the best part is that Mega Pokémon are still the same Pokémon! Unlike Cross-gen evolutions where the evolved form is the new pokémon (like how Yanmega is not the same as Yanma).
Cause giving “overpowered” pokemon like kangaskhan, pinsir, ampharos, absol, manetric, houndoom, blastoise, charizard, mawile, etc. was so unfair.
He’s saying only some pokemon get megas, not all. Kinda unfair.
Or those who get them are already OP
There should be a Steel Status Move that turns the target into a Pure Steel Pokémon.
