UPDATE: Sign-ups are now CLOSED, though it’s possible we’ll open them for a short amount of time in the coming days. Thank you to everyone who has signed-up so far. We’ll be announcing the Official Rules soon. Confirmed competitors will also be announced shortly, as well as those on the waiting list.

As you hopefully all remember we announced last year that we would be holding a network-wide PokéJungle tournament. We opened sign-ups and had an amazing response. However, we didn’t quite feel we were ready to begin the tournament, there were things we hadn’t planned for and dozens of loopholes. Now, we’re ready to announce our tournament again, and open sign-ups right off the bat.

pjt1The PokéJungle Tournament 2014 will take place during a few weeks over summer this year, after which our first Champion will be announced. Due to the tournament running over several weeks we ask that you only sign up if you know for certain you’ll be available to take part in each round. At the time of writing we haven’t fully decided how many rounds there will be, but each round will run for a total of one week.

Using the Swiss format for battling trainers will gain points across each round, until all rounds are complete and the Champion decided. The Swiss format for battling allows us to match players of similar skills level in battles. Of course we’re open to suggestions if you don’t feel this format works best.

It is important that if you wish to take part, you fill the form below with correct information. If we believe the information you have provided is incorrect we will sadly have to disqualify you from the tournament. If you wish to back out of the tournament after signing up we will provide a form later for you to fill out, it’s likely back outs will have to count as a forfeit. Sign-ups spots are limited. Once filled we will allow a further 10 people to sign-up and act as back-up competitors should another back out before the first round is completed Official tournament rules, requirements and information will be published soon. Rules can be expected to be a slight alteration of the Official VGC rules. Prizes and awards are yet to be decided.

  4. Aaaaaand, sign-ups are now closed. It’s possible we’ll re-open them for a short amount of time, but don’t expect it! We’ll keep you all informed.

    Rules will also be announced shortly, with confirmation of competitors and stand-ins finalised soon, too!

    Also, you best all like the new layout. I was worked like a slave.

    “In order to cause a steam explosion powerful enough to blow up mountains, the Pokemon must have an organ with extremely high temperature that can instantly vaporize water to steam. That kind of organ is unheard of in the ecology of Pokemon, but Volcanion may have it…On the XXth day of the XXth month at the Pokemon Center in Camphrier Town: Interviewed a Trainer who says he witnessed a Pokemon that could be Volcanion when he was stranded in a mountain. According to the Trainer, a huge Pokemon’s shadow appeared suddenly. Two huge armlike limbs that could crush even the land extended from its back, and from their tips, the land extended from its back, and from their tips, something that looked like smoke belched out and made the fog around the Pokemon even thicker. The Trainer said the Pokemon’s shadow slowly disappeared into the fog.”

  20. So this is what we learned so far about Volcanion
    -It is a mythical Pokemon
    -it has been eluding humans for about 15 years
    -secludes itself in the mountains
    -uses smoke, steam and fog to hide from humans
    -has a unique super-heating organ unknown to current Pokescience
    -is arm like limbs are strong enough to crush land
    -might have caused a massive explosion in southern Kalos
    -Totally badass and kewl

          • Zygarde vs volcanion since volcanion pretty much destroys everything while zygarde has to be the one fixing it all xD

          • I don’t think Volcanion is a malicious Pokemon
            OOOOH OOOOOH!
            WHAT IF Volcanion can’t control it’s steam powers and they build to critical levels capable of mass destruction so it hides in the mountains so it doesn’t hurt anyone!!!!!

          • It’s like the raichu thing, if it builds up too much it has to release it one way or another. Maybe getting agitated by the build up of energy

          • Well i’m was saying that if Zygarde gets a major featured film (If he doesn’t I’ll personally see it does *Cracks Knuckles*) but as i was saying, Ash and Co will find themselves on a Mountain and they’ll coincidentally run into Volcanion

            I feel Hoopa will get the Telepathy Mythical Pokemon Role, Zygarde will get the Deuteragonist role, while Volcanion kinda doing it’s own thing

    • Just steam, or mist.
      Smoke is produced by burning physical matter, and fog is like mist but different(can’t remember how XD)

    Same guy that got up the volcanion screens says there are 3 mega stone placeholders titled “r1” “r2” and “r3″… you know who these are for right?

  24. Other things to note:

    -He can somehow edit literally any aspect of his save file. He says he cross dressed and put female clothes & hair on his male protagonist.
    -Hacked new item “Shalour Sable” into his game, says it works the same as a Full Heal.

    2. AHHHHHH even then there’s no games confirmed confirmed yet, I am so eager for the next gamesssssss!!!!!! I’m thinkin Z/Zero this year, as a 30ish dollar DLC that takes gives new things, including Germany, this year, then RSE remakes/sequels in 2015, then I would HOPE for a Pokemom War game that takes place during WWII that takes you through section of all of the regions, trying to stop the war.
