Journey Back to Hoenn – Roar of Time: Generation III

It seems like only yesterday I started the Journey to X & Y article series, when in actuality it’s fast approaching six months since I did! Admittedly the inferno of hype for X & Y has flickered down into a smouldering cinder, but that’s expected, the games are out. Many of our readers enjoyed the articles we ran last year, and we’ve decided to continue the generation weeks we failed to complete before the release of the games. They’ll be a little different however—just a title change really, but still a heap of fun!

In Roar of Time we asked our readers what they would add to older games, if they gained the ability to travel back in time and make any change or additions they wanted. This time round it’s the same deal! If you could take control of Dialga and morph time back to the early development stages of Ruby and Sapphire (or any of the other Third Generation games!), what would you change? What would you take away? What would you add?

We don’t want you to be too outrageous here, keep things realistic. You could also pick something completely obvious, but what’s the fun in that? As we said in the first article don’t forget to consider how your change or addition would have an effect on the future of Pokémon games.

Get those brains working and tell us your ideas, we’ll be featuring our favourites in the next Roar of Time (who can guess what that will focus on?)

As a side note, please, please try to control your commenting on this article, when it comes to finding content for featuring it becomes very difficult if I have to filter through 1,000 comments saying you’re home from school, or asking if anyone is ‘here’. We have a chat, please use it!

  1. Sorry star! My iPad ran out of charge
So milotic toxics, then protects and heals from the leftovers and then recovers and protects and so on. It’s my signature pokemon along with my greninja and if I can’t use him then I’m going to vouch out

      • It’s not often I make a pokemon that can pack a punch(I’m not really good at competitive) but my milotic has gotten me through tough situations along with my greninja 🙁 I always use them regardless

    • Toixc Stalling is a legit strategy. I don’t like it myself, but can’t really do anything about it. Just keep a poison or steel type handy.

      • I don’t like using it but it’s my trump card and I’m not good at battling. I get by, by struggling every match….
This is why I stopped playing it for like 6 months I feel so weak and useless…

  2. In regards to Prankster. Maybe have a clause that allows only one Pokemon to have prankster on a single team. So people will not abuse it with Sableye and Klefki on the same team….

    • not to be that “girl” so excuse me if i’m being rude. I understand that using prankster and crap is cheap and gimmicky. but all this limiting and restrictions is starting to remind me of smogon :I i thought on pokejungle we could play how we want and not have so many rules on us. You gotta take the good with the bad

      • I guess when it comes to actual battles and tournaments, everyone wants an equal chance to win.
Its easy to pick on something when you look at it individually, but when you put things together you start to encounter problems and understand the reason things are banned in the first place. If that makes any sense.
