It seems like only yesterday I started the Journey to X & Y article series, when in actuality it’s fast approaching six months since I did! Admittedly the inferno of hype for X & Y has flickered down into a smouldering cinder, but that’s expected, the games are out. Many of our readers enjoyed the articles we ran last year, and we’ve decided to continue the generation weeks we failed to complete before the release of the games. They’ll be a little different however—just a title change really, but still a heap of fun!
In Roar of Time we asked our readers what they would add to older games, if they gained the ability to travel back in time and make any change or additions they wanted. This time round it’s the same deal! If you could take control of Dialga and morph time back to the early development stages of Ruby and Sapphire (or any of the other Third Generation games!), what would you change? What would you take away? What would you add?
We don’t want you to be too outrageous here, keep things realistic. You could also pick something completely obvious, but what’s the fun in that? As we said in the first article don’t forget to consider how your change or addition would have an effect on the future of Pokémon games.
Get those brains working and tell us your ideas, we’ll be featuring our favourites in the next Roar of Time (who can guess what that will focus on?)

i’m probably just going to use my showdown team :3 it has good syneregy. i just have to remove my choice scarf victini :-; hmmmm i might put a choice scarf staraptor or garchomp or salamence instead :o!!! suggestions?

the only problem is I don’t have a defogger or rapid spinner so hazards kinda wreck me with all the u turn switching .-.
They can only use one team the whole time, so they would have to fight others as well.

I see these 2 a lot when i play UU on Showdown. I prefer to use Darmanitan myself, but i always have to be wary of opposing Vicitin, cos they will be faster, and Darm is quite fragile, but man it hits like a truck…
ikr. i might switch them out permantly 😮 sure vicitni has more speed and better type coverage BUT darmanitan hits HARD! >.< tough choice

Parts of me don’t even want to partake in this Tourney since most of you will be using Sableye (and other OU) and I have zero means of countering it, I’ve tried Taunters but they just switch and kill the next Pokemon then bring it back

Isn’t it fun trying to figure out ways to counter those Pokemon though? If your team is vulnerable to something, you need to balance it.

I get what you’re saying. Maybe because you carry mainly physical ground/fighting types, you can equip a lum berry to instantly cure burn and strike back?
I’ve tried that
they use recover the next turn since most go Defense and Hp
then just burn me again
I’ve even tried a Baton Passer but they still either switch or just burn and recover
Nidoking doesn’t care about burn, being a special attacker, so Nidoking should be your go to pokemon when you see sabeleye.
Still, even Nidoking has trouble
Like I said if they see a Special Attack they’ll swap out kill Nido then repeat

Funny, before someone here told me about Burst Mode, I made it up as a new type of evolution, along with:
1. DNA Evolution (give a pokémon some DNA from its counterpart and it’ll evolve)
2. Phantom Evolution: An applicable pokémon will evolve if leveled up in the Distortion World.
