today, for shiny petilil it took me 6 random encounters so about 5 mins.
shiny helioptile was my original quickest with 8 re’s.
but for me the longest it took to find a shiny in safari was about an hour. I always find them in an under an hour.
I’ve actually begun a search for shiny gogoat in Eriole’s grass safari and managed to get the petilil so far but powered off for now.

it should look slightly menacing since its a poison type but at the same time be petit since it’s a trainee in its first stage
The dragon fairy butterfly I mentioned earlier, to counteract the good typing, it would have low base stats like sableye or spiritomb
It would sort of be like a miniature dragonite, but it has huge butterfly wings and depending on the area it would have different wings. For example if it was caught in an area that also contains butterfree’s it would have butterfree wings 🙂
