Meanwhile, I simultaneously started a new game on Pkmn Emerald and just realizing so many things they can do with this as an update/remake for the 3DS. Specially in Dewford. This game def needs graphical enhancements. I mean thats a no-brainer. But theres a lot of things that we are left to question.
Like in Granite Cave. Its known to host rare evolutionary stones (its why Steven Stone is there looking around) but the protagonist doesn’t even find ANY sort of stones inside. You don’t even manage to find a thunder/fire/leaf stone – yet alone an ever stone. This would be a good place to update “story-wise” to include Mega Stones. I’ve said this numerous times before but Steven Stone would make the most perfect fit for a person that discoveres more new mega stones in a Hoenn game. They could also throw in a little reference to XY stating something like he found a Blazikenite and attached it to a torchic and shipped it off to Kalos region for a special trainer that looks like you (the emerald protagonist) lol
theres an everstone in granite cave. which is quite contradicting to what steven says hes looking for. perhaps he lied to you, deceiving you, not telling you his TRUE purpose… hes actually there to take all the everstones, making it so trainers cant pass nature to there pokemon! kill him! kill him now!!!!!

I agree with you. There is a lot of scope for updates to the Hoenn region, both in terms of locations and story wise. There was a lot of untapped potential back in Gen 3, and I really feel that remakes with updated graphics and plot are what we need to see Hoenn in all it’s glory…
I definitely agree. It feels so weird playing gen 3 and “bite” “fire fang” are special moves. so odd!

probably not – just using it an example of how gen 3’s moves were classified as special or physical. I’m glad it is the way it is now.
Trying to use Wingull but it sucks only having special/water stab and is a special user and couldnt take advantage of flying moves.
Poor Salamence with no Physical Dragon Stab, and best Flying Stab in HP Flying or Aerial Ace

Yeh, it is actually, but Salamence doesn’t care anymore…it’s got more than enough reliable coverage options…at least I think it’s does…I’ve actually not used one since Emerald, where I had one with DD, Earthquake, Aerial Ace, Fire Blast
I think it’s best set is mixed, because Dragonite does dragon dance better and Hydreigon does special better.
Yeh…you know looking back on Smogon, it’s so interesting to see how Pokemon rise and fall metagame after metagame.
Only one will stand the test of time…and that is Gengar. Starmie is gonna fall this gen.

I agree. He also had his painting up in Lumiose Museum as opposed to a painting of Hoenn region like the other regions got so I’m sure he’ll be of more importance.
Maybe some sea exploits where you have to deal with a break off of team aqua after you finish the main story…like naval battles…(ok too much AC there :D)

I feel like Special is still better because Sheer Force caters to his Special Movepool, but now he can function well as a mixed sweeper I’d assume.
With sheer force, his base special is more like 130 than 85

You don’t wanna know how high it is with life orb and sheer force xD….but yeah, I used one a lot in gen 5
He’s great, but as a Special Attacker. His ability Sheer Force gives a bunch of his moves power boosts and negates Life Orb’s recoil damage, meaning that it has even more power.

I caught mine in a pokeball too, it was the 2nd thing I threw.
I caught Xernias in a dive ball and only took 3 dive balls at full HP LMAO. I didn’t use an opower or anything at all.
I used catching power for zygarde and caught it in a nest ball around 10 or so.

I found out that Nidoking went physical this generation
It did, It got a small stat boost
which helps its immensely. and also has access to “Hone Claws” which could boost its attack and accuracy to greater heights.
yep 333 attack now or something like that. Might be off a few digits lol.
only thing is Fire Punch/Thunder Punch Nidoking won’t be available til dec 29th if we trade over a move tutored one from B2W2.
But Poison Jab Sheer Force nidoking will straight rip a fairy apart. Too bad “Drill Run” doesn’t benefit from Sheer Force.

So I’m thinking of EV training my Careful Drapion in Def and Sp Def, because my competitive team needs a wall + Poison Giver+ Spikes. He can taake both attacks, and dish em out… maybe give him venoshock and make him learn toxic, and then I think I’ll be set.

That’s cool, but I really don’t understand shinies anymore. In all honestly they are cool, but they just don’t seem worth it anymore. Now that they made them easier to get, I feel less special when I have one.
They are still pretty rare, thanks to the many years people have been catching them
they are def still rare. i just dont go to serebii chat where THEY ARE less rare definitely. You can’t trade wth anyone there without them wanting a shiny with a perfect nature and 5 31 iv’s… im like dude, its shiny, its already rare, nobody has time for flawlessness.

lol yeah i was in an electric safari that had electrode/helioptile/luxio, i was trying to find a shiny helioptile and ended up finding 2 shiny electrodes…
the morning after i found the helioptile 2nd encounter after turning game on in the morning. then decided to stay in safari til later that night to see if i can find luxio shiny and ended up finding it lol – modest!!

OKAY OKAY! The music got intense on the Poke Radar which means the chain is at 40!! If I reset the Radar, the music will go away and I’ll be back at a 21 chain. The only patch that shook was horrible and will most likely contain a different Pokemon or none at all. WHAT DO I DO?? Risk it or reset the chain!??
