A rarely mentioned topic on our site is the TCG-side of Pokémon, but I think it’s more than worth talking about occasionally. Pokémon recently announced details about the English release of the X&Y TCG expansion which will be coming on February 5, 2014. Fairy-type has been added to the cards, as well as a new Mega Pokémon mechanic.
Personally, I’ve always been more of a “collector” type when it comes to the Pokémon TCG. My three sisters never had any interest in battling when I was younger so even if I had made a competitive deck there wouldn’t have been any way for me to test it out. Luckily, children growing up in this online era have the Pokémon TCG Online game in case they have no interested siblings or nearby events. I don’t have much time for it, but I do really enjoy the TCGO game so if you haven’t checked it out I recommend that you do!

its a program that u download on the website, i unlocked a few packs and decks in the game and its pretty fun playing it online with others. It even shows animations when you select your attack lol.
I used to collect the cards simply because it was a another way to get OFFICIAL cool art of my favorite Pokemon, my brothers had a few friends we battled with. I tried the TCGO and couldn’t really get into it.
On an unrelated note, I really don’t see Pokemon Z as happening, Ever since it was announced X and Y were based off ideas being represented by graph plots, and how Zygarde was a balance between Xerneas and Yveltal, I’ve been thinking the next game would be Pokemon 0 or Pokemon Origin.
I’m taking a bunch of cool pictures of all the Pokemon cards and card mechandise that I’ve saved since I was 9 years old to 12 years old. I am now 22 and never gonna sell them lol. All in mint condition. I wanna pass them down to my kids whenever I have them.

IMO since the guide did say “regions” which pretty much means Hoenn is a given, and one completely new region, I’ll say the possibilities will be:

I really hope so. It seems that there isn’t much that can be done with Zygarde.

If you mean the shape formed by the hedges in parfum gardens, the only reason it was shaped like that was so you could corner froufrou.
But 3000 years ago there were no Pokeball.
A/Z is another possibilty. A for Alpha and Z for Omega. Arceus would be the mascot for Alpha and Zygarde would be the mascot for Omega. Yes, Zygarde is the Order Pokémon, but for all we know, Zygarde and Arceus could be related. Zygarde is the snake of the underground afterall.
Also, the Creation Trio’s signature items (Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb, and Griseous Orb) are found in Zygarde’s room. Not only that, but we have Arceus’ plates scattered all over Kalos just like in D/P/Pt (BW and B2W2 had most of them in the Abyssal Ruins). Finally, the Shiny Creation Trio were the last event Pokémon distributed (in North America and Europe) for Generation V, so I see an Arceus event going on once Pokémon Bank is released.
This A/Z Theory came from my brother he’s the one who should get the credit.
If there was an in-game event with the Shiny Creation Trio, they would have been distributed in Japan, which they weren’t.
I assumed Japan got them. I thought they get everything before everyone else (if we get it at all). If that’s the case, then why were they distributed in the first place?
I’m pretty sure the only reason we didn’t have pokemon grey was because of the negative connotations of grey. I mean there is literally no colour more boring. That being said they might want to cash in again on double sequels since there will always be those that find it necessary to buy both copies.

Anything is possible. At this point anything is possible. We just don’t know what GF will do. I’m thinking either Hoenn remakes or gen seven will be soon. If gen seven, I suspect it will be similar to gen 2 in having the capabilty to travel to the previous region.

When the TCG online first began, I played like crazy. My parents never liked the idea of buying trading cards when I was a kid, but when I saw this…
After they updated the game so that you had to download it, I couldn’t be bothered to start the 3 leagues all over again. Now I am more of a collector. Just opening free booster packs.

I will probably start playing the online trading card again soon since I already have a nice deck built in that game and won a few matches with it lol. My only exposure to the TCG was the cards my two cousins had. They gave some to me and my brothers since we got into pokemon, sadly we had no use for them since we didn’t really get into the TCG as well as we did with the games, they looked neat though. I don’t really plan to play the TCG anytime soon, but I do like the artwork used for the cards themselves.
I loved collecting them but I think when I was actually playing I didn’t do it right xD.There are times I miss having the cards and thought of collecting them again but for now I may just stick with the video games 🙂

basically, you get a number and you make it mach with the pokemon number by trading the egg with the person with the same number, then that person hatches the egg and gets a shiny for sure.

Yes! Finally the TCG gets some appreciation! Anyway, I went to the Legendary Treasures prerelease and got a Full Art Meloetta EX, the Full Art Secret Rare Radiant Collection Reshiram, and a White Kyurem EX. I have 23 EXs, 7 Secret rares, 2 full Legends, Full Art Reshiram and Zekrom, 10 Lv.Xs, 7 Primes, 5 Arceus, 5 AceSpec, and a Mow Rotom.
I really want to collect these cards… pokemon cards are so beautiful compared to other cards
I suggest starting with Legendary Treasures. You get at least 1 Ultra Rare for every 5 packs you open.

I really don’t see the appeal to shofu, he’s good at pokemon, there’s no denying that, but so are a lot of poketubers, he doesn’t really bring anything new to the table.

I allready complete the kalos pokedex, and I feel impossible to complete the national one.

well, here’s a wakeup call, ShaneDawson panders to his preteen audience by putting false thumbnails (usually ones with boobs or a hot chick) and by acting like he cares what his audience thinks to make sure his always most talked about. Smosh already showed signs of money whorism when they made their gaming channel at the exact same time when gaming channels started to peak in popularity but when they exploited charity foundations to cover up there scam iPhone game, I instantly hated these asses. Tobuscus is basically the youtube love child of RayWilliamJohnson and iJustine. iJustine has 5-6 channels that are not funny, informational, or even remotely good, also she exploits off of tragedy which I absolutely have no respect for. I don’t think I need to explain why Onision sucks.

I hate when youtubers make false statements about pokemon, like their moves and what they are. I honestly scream at my phone when that happens thinking they can hear me.
It all started one day when a neighborhood friend appeared and showed me a Pokemon card. I was baffled by all of these different creatures! So baffled that I persuaded my dad to take me to Walmart to buy my first Pokemon Cards. Before that, my friend gave me my first official Pokemon Card. An Unown J (as shown in one of the pictures below). Inside of that tin mentioned earlier I found an Infernape Lv. X, Charizard (Electric/Steel), etc. My friend was interested in that Infernape Lv. X and he got it. I knew he took it. He invented lies like “Oh my cousin has it and he broke it.” Didn’t believe a single word. He didn’t want to budge so I had to resort to calling my dad so I could get it back. Turns out, it was indeed in his possession. Lets just say he wasn’t a good role model. Eventually, he moved away and I haven’t seen him since.
Anyway, thanks to him, I slowly started collecting cards and all of a sudden, I found out about the games. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was out at the time and was the only one left used at GameStop. Pokemon Pearl was my first Pokemon game ever and I have been hooked ever since. Here are the best cards I have at the moment and the rest not shown (a ton) is behind all of those good cards and in tins.

Not sure if it works on mobile or not. Its on mt.moon, the development of the game will take months or even a year depending on how long it takes to decide on key things. The game is still in early stages of development and will probably be made on an rpg maker engine as they are more flexible than rom hacking.

It’s not too hard, i learned how to edit some things and tested out a game in which i only had 12-20 pokemon and only made it into the first route.
It takes a long time to learn (it took me atleast 4 months to get everything right)

He used to use devious Dark types commit crimes but after being beaten by the Police Chief he had an Epiphany and decided to use his Pokemon to stop crime, by joining the police force and becoming the Chief and Gym leader
It works. The Fire typed E4 member worked for Team Flare and some of the kanto gym leaders worked for rocket.

You fold the tape and stick it under the analog stick so you just go around the tower. You keep it in sight so you can press a.

Medicham is good because of fighting and you always have to have a pokemon that will get rid of a super effective type. You have to include gardevoir because of its fairy type. And espeon. Espeon is the best eevee evo. And maybe gallade
But I like Beheeyem. It is very unappreciated.

it’s like, eggs have specific shiny values, which another owner out there also has, but you have to find that person with that shiny value for them to get the shiny and hatch it for you or themselves.

How do you find out what yours is and how does that help exactly? I didn’t understand what you meant by someone hatched a shiny noibat for you because he had the same SV
it works like this::
it creates some kind of alternate fake connection that u connect to in ur 3DS settings
u access a trade with someone and select “start scanning” and every egg u “show” in trade it shows you its contents, ala ID, OT, etc. It shows a trainer shiny value, and an egg shiny value. if your egg shiny value number matches another trainers shiny value when u trade them ur egg it’ll guarantee hatch shiny for them
it probably doesnt make sense the way im explaining it but theres a youtube video on it

I have actually tried a one type team for soul silver once. Didn’t work out since it was grass and the first two gyms are flying and bug. And I tried a full psychic team and I think my starter (don’t remember) in platinum ad later found out mismagius is only ghost

As far as my knowledge extends, the bad egg is simply a coding/programming error. I believe it may have been started by people trying to hack the game, and somehow upsetting the coding…but my knowledge on this stuff is minimal at best

No problem. I just thought if you are going to do egg moves take the amazing dragon pulse to put charizard x in its place and airslash for stab. And solar beam because of drought and flamethrower for obvious reasons

I did that. I was trying to get dragon pulse on sliggoo. But remembered someone gave me a hydreigon so I took it to get dragon pulse from the move relearned and took it from there
i would get a hydreigon, but i already have one waiting to be transferred in december. Plus raising zweilous to level 64 is a lot

Wow! The transition from 2D to 3D was beautiful!! I go to B2/W2 to check something really quick and I put X & Y and W2 side by side. The difference is over 9000!!! The little protagonist looks so different and way smaller than in X & Y. I simply cannot believe it. So beautiful!

I agree, they did a good job with the transition bw b2w2 brought a good start to 3d like with the buildings sort of. You can’t go straight into 3d. Game freak knows what they’re doing

I personally think that Hoenn remakes/sequels are very unlikely because:
1: Hoenn used to have the exclusive Regirock, Regice and Registeel but since BW2, Hoenn now has no Pokemon that make it exclusive anymore.
2. Too much water. Surfing on a Lapras in Hoenn would be great but there’s just too little land compared to how much water after the 6th gym. You have to surf this water for the 7th gym, climax of the story, 8th gym, victory road, Rayquaza, the regi’s puzzle and I think but I can’t remember, the Battle Frontier.
3. Even though Hoenn is mentioned in Pokemon X & Y, there’s no point in saying that has any relevance because EVERY region is mentioned in the game.
4. A new region is mentioned in the game by a person in a hotel differently each time you speak to him before he gives you the strange souvenir. He mentions a town, a facility and a champion and always ends by saying “oh, never mind, you’ll see it in due time” or something like that. And after you receive the strange souvenir, he mentions that he doesn’t come from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh or Unova.
5. Bad enemy team/s. Team Magma and Team Aqua’s plots were quite stupid and I know people will tell me that there’s no logical point in enemy teams in games in general but if you think about it, Team Rocket’s, Team Galactic’s, Team Plasma’s and Team Flare’s plans all made sense and with each team, the plot has been getting better and better. After Team Flare, bringing Team Magma and Team Aqua back would be a step backwards.
6. The dead Battle Frontier. I know I’ll really get insulted for this because people liked the Battle Frontier and I never really used it because I didn’t see the point but the reason I put this point up is because Pokemon has gotten ridden the Battle Frontier for 2 generations now and it’s been replaced by facilities that do the exact same thing as the main facility of the Battle Frontier, the Battle Tower.
In conclusion (and this is only MY OPINION), for Hoenn to have a decent remake/sequel, it would have to replace it’s enemy team and increase it’s landmass and since it’s wild Pokemon found would be changed as well to keep it within generation 6, this would make an almost entirely new region which wouldn’t be Hoenn.
