PokéJungle Tournament Survey

Plans for launching our first Official PokéJungle Tournament are moving along swiftly, and we’re steadily laying down ideas behind the scenes ready for a full summary and rules set soon. While the majority of the organisation for this tournament is down to us staff, we still want some key input from our readers and potential competitors. As such we have created quick survey for our readers to fill out, the results of which will shape how this tournament will work, so please answer as best you can! Once we have received a reasonable amount of replies, we will review the results, finalise the tournament rules and publicly open sign-ups. So waste no time in getting your responses in!

You can find the survey by clicking here, or by revealing it in the spoiler below.

    • The 3rd Versions always get hate for being easier to make and distribute for the company and not introducing too many new ideas.

IMO though, BW2 had the best postgame of any Pokemon game.

        • Emerald was only applauded for its Battle Frontier, but Platinum was universally frowned upon if I’m not mistaken. Again, as a diehard Pokemon fan, I loved Platinum, but when you compare it to DP, it didn’t do too much more than plot changes and Battle Frontier (which was watered down from Gen III).

          • I don’t know about at the time, but I’ve heard a lot of people from all over bash it retrospectively. Then again, Gamefaq bashes everything, but I will agree that Emerald and BW2 are much better than Platinum.

          • as much as I love emerald, theres one thing I had a huge problem with: why, just why in the hell did they make the rayquaza in that game Lv70??? they should have made it lv45 like groudon and kyogre in ruby and sapphire

          • which I would agree on, but many players especially newer ones, just nabbed that rayquaza (which was available pre-e4 in emerald) and swept the e4 with it!

          • Wow, I never even thought of that! That’s pretty bad, but I guess using the Event Speed Boost Blaziken in XY was almost as bad!

          • I did like the medal rally. It was a huge list of achievemnts, things to look for that occupied so much time! I loved walking in the pokemon center and just getting a medal when I didn’t expect one

          • It was the first Pokemon game that I got the certificate for National Dex completion in. I’m so excited for Pokebank so I can get it again in XY- I have one of every Pokemon in the box instead of just the full evolutions (so I’ve got Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur all queued up and ready to go!).

          • that’s my quest this time in x, i’ll get it done! I want that shiny charm… gotta find a way to get the legends though, I really missed out on some events…

          • I’ve got to say though, when I got the certificate, I was kinda overwhelmed. I’m a 20 y/o guy (was 19 at the time) and I almost teared up. I’ve been a fan of the series for 13 years now and I’ve finally done it.

        • I don’t consider HG/SS a “Third Version,” since it’s more like LG/FR to R/S than Emerald is to them. HG/SS were complete fanservice and were brilliant because of it, and they’re more like HD remakes than simple same-gen remakes.

    • BW2 is amazing amazing amazing. Storyline, after game, everything… I can’t say how I was anxious to see Purrloin or Liepard and think it was Hugh’s sister’s Pokemon. Memory link, mentioning the other trainer in BW, all of those things. AMAZING!

        • I can say Gen 5 is my favourite. Storyline is the best. Apart from that, I think I made connection with Pokemon too. I was going to make after game team in X/Y and 4 out of 6 Pokemon I wanted to choose turned out to be from Gen 5.

    • I disliked B/W so much that I thought I it would be my last pokemon game. I played BW2 this year, and loved it so much that I took back everything I said about B/W.

    • Yes, they match the opponent’s stat increases. Also, if the opponent is Mega Evolved, he’ll change into the Mega Version. However, if the Imposter Ditto is switched in on the turn Gengar Mega evolves, he’ll change into regular Gengar instead since switching occurs before Mega Evolution.
