Name change and logo
Already announced in the contest write-up, PJNM will be shortened to PJM. We also have a (temporary) logo featuring Chespin from our in-house artist moving. From now on, Chespin will be the mascot for the magazine, like Sewaddle is for the site.
Tentative release date
We’re still aiming for a mid-February release date. The deadline for all the content is at the end of December, after which we can start putting everything together using Digital Publishing Software. We’ll be using Scribus, since it is open-source but a still relatively strong DSP.

If you want to hit us up with something, you can do so through [email protected]. This is also the place if you’ve got any concerns, complaints, or crazy ideas. We’ll normally get back to you in one day, and we even reply faster on weekends too!
Content announcement
For this week we’ll reveal the staff-focused section. The first few pages will include a page with a picture of every staff member along with a short bio, a poll among the whole staff and two interviews featuring the man behind the site himself and Daedardus! If there is something you really want to know about those two staff members, you can ask so through the email provided earlier.
We have to admit news is calm at the moment, but we’re exploring options to make things more interesting. More on that later. See you next time!

Never have been able to choose a favorite pokemon. They all have their benefits and I feel that quite a few would count as favorites for me.
I have two who are my all-time favorites. Sceptile because it was my first Pokemon ever. And Chespin because it’s perfect.
Sceptile is a beast. There is no other way to say it.

It’s true. I seriously felt so bad for well, you know what. Seeing my partner just crying there all alone was heartbreaking.
The part that I found bad was the fact that you had been best friends and partners with grovyle for years, only for you to get separated. Then grovyle goes through all that effort to go back in time to meet you and then find out he’s been forgotten and inadvertently replaced. Then they get separated again and never see each other again
Aye. It was even worse when I was playing as a treecko. I made my backstory that I was such a great friend with Grovyle that I became a literal brother to him.
That’s exactly what i did, it seemed the most realistic scenario

I love sceptile, but where I live it’s generally hated, and I don’t know why. I try to give it some extra love due to that, But mudkip is still my fav.
All the gen 3 starters were good.
I really like sceptile myself. sceptile and aggron, always staples when I play through hoenn 😉

Treecko was my first pokemon too! Pokemon that I will always love:

I started with Gen 1 and Charmander… Gen 2 was alright but gen 3 was amazing. (NO GEN WARS PEOPLE!) I loved a lot of the designs that were used in gen 3.

I love flygon, ive always used on over garchomp. I love its design and I find its a team supporter than garchomp is. I do like garchomp too, though!

I love flygon, but I’ve always loved garchomp more. It got a great design mega and sinnoh . . just, sinnoh. It was the best region ever.
Purugly, because I love its design, and ive always loved cats. its a brute in battle and its nice to see someones expression when they lose to a pokemon they hate.

1. Gardevoir – I used to hate her, but then I used her for every playthrough of gen 3. I love its mega. It also finally got some love by being the stronges pokemon on the strongest team in kalos. That not enough for ya? It’s fairy too.
love your gardevoir explanation. that was awesome, gardevoir getting such an important role like that. I remember in my first ruby playthrough, I was shocked that wally wasn’t the champion. I feel gardevoir didn’t get enough emphasis. then they blasted us with her finesse as the main pokemon of the champions team in the region based on beauty… couldn’t ask for more.
And just another reason for her to be my favorite! Thanks game freak for giving us pokemon like my lil’ garde!

Thats a hard choice there are so many amazing pokemon I started with pikachu in yellow but he wasn’t my favorite I always preferred raichu I remember trying to get him to evolve lol but he got mad at me XD hm though these guys stuck with me ninetales,eevee,vileplume,dewgong,sceptile though I liked all 3rd gen starters a bit equally,mawile,flygon,luxray,……sorry if I keep writing there would probably be a longer page
I don’t have a particular favorite, but I have fond memories of Spinda, as a kid, the route where you found it was one of my favorite, and I just loved its design so much, plus I love the whole different pattern aspect as well, nice uniqueness, it also has a pretty awesome movepool and one of my favorite abilities as its hidden abilities, one problem though, its stats suck, with each one being 60, it did make me feel quite sad when i found out about competitive pokemon and that spinda was one of the worst pokemon ever, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU SPINDA, YOU WILL GET A MEGA EVOLUTION
Spinda was an awesome idea. Too bad he became a design gimmick.

I love spinda, I used it in my previous emerald mono run. I made a guy rage quit online when I took out his main pokemon with my spinda! it was awesome!

Anytime, but you need exp to evolve and when you get exp, you get evs too(unless you have loads o candies)
i EV train before i level up. i will get the best nature and ivs then super train and then i level up
