RUMOR: Images Show Final Froakie, Chespin Evolutions & New Pokémon

These are not necessarily real images, their authenticity has not been established. Please do NOT treat this as a news post, instead enjoy commenting & speculating. We will update you if any details come out to (dis)prove any of this.

We’ve marked the main image warning of Pokémon X & Y spoilers so we won’t be hiding images in these posts.

The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.

UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake

The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.

UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.

UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

Looking forward to reading your comments!

  1. I would be disappointed with only 70 unless the regional dex was bigger than b/w2. More than 300 pokes pre national would be an okay compensation. Anyways I’m not buying the pictures till they get clearer and more of the screens in higher quality lol

    • lol kinda went over that hours ago. The problem is that they’ve release about 40 (give or take) Pokemon in official press release. That means that they have already revealed half their next. Thats not include the probably alternate stages of the pokemon released. (Which increases the total to almost 50 (again give or take) There is no way Nintendo would release almost 3/4s of the Kalos dex throughout all of these. And Kalos being without an endgame portion is quite sad. (Being that the lasts generations (IV and V) have had end game content. So this is most likely fake

      • I feel like for gen 4 and 5 they released no more than 10% of their pokédex pre game release. Of course they also normally revealed more than one eevee normally….

  3. The thing that makes me think these new “supporting” pics of Greninja are fake is that they’re all in the same EXACT pose that we’ve seen…Isn’t that a bit odd?? Anyway, good night for realz this time

    • The close image would of had to be redrawn for it to fit, the proportions are actually quite different from the fan art. But, the full screen shot image is almost certainly that fan art, it fits near perfectly, the close one, not as much, and the colors are a bit different. But… Yeah, actually, I just realized the eye is a lot smaller on that close image, if you compare it to the original screenshot, it’s eye is a lot larger on the head and closer to the head spine.

  5. I honestly want some Pokemon Fusions thrown in here somewhere…Honestly just think about how amazing some of the fusions would be if GameFreak took some of the fan art that’s been made of some of them and put them in there as experiments that Team Flare uses and would be able to catch and train…….

  6. I would like to see how Fairy was discovered. IMO I made a theory that professors like Oak discovered fairy as an enhanced version of the Normal type, and was evolved from regular non-Fairy Pokemon who required defense from the Fighting types, Dark types, and due to explicit use against dragon types (ie using them in battles). This knowledge lead them to develop a strength and change itself in a form of self defense and learn to make themselves strong towards dragons, and ultimately resisting them all together by process of research.

    • It would be nice to see if they actually added that discovery into the story. However, that didn’t really happened in Gen II with Dark and Steel. Yet, the stories in Pokemon are now more detailed.

According to Masuda, apparently from what people have been saying, the storyline in X&Y is more detailed. Don’t Quote me on this lol

  7. I heard no information could leak until the 4th when the contract between the two parties is over.. So at this point everything is just speculation.
