RUMOR: Images Show Final Froakie, Chespin Evolutions & New Pokémon

These are not necessarily real images, their authenticity has not been established. Please do NOT treat this as a news post, instead enjoy commenting & speculating. We will update you if any details come out to (dis)prove any of this.

We’ve marked the main image warning of Pokémon X & Y spoilers so we won’t be hiding images in these posts.

The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.

UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake

The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.

UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.

UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

Looking forward to reading your comments!

  1. Can’t say whether they real or not but….the pic with Quilladin and Emolga, the text for Quilladins name doesn’t look like it reads Quilladin!

  2. With all these new ways to gain exp faster, be prepared for lvl 80 and above Elite 4 and almost lvl 90 Champion. I hope not, because that’s really taking these games up to eleven.

    • I hope in this generation we won’t have another Water or Electric type gym leader. They are practically in every region, and we need some of other less common types. I would love to see gyms of dark, fairy, ground, ghost, poison, bug, grass and dragon.

    • I really do like this. The names and types are very unique. Although I would say Clemont is Steel, but that’s just me.
And I also like having Gym Leaders with more than 3 Pokemon. Creates more of a challenge! 😀
I hope something like this does happen!

  4. Somebody noticed the “Home” and “Select” buttons written backwards on some photos? If they are are all of the same source, shouldn’t all the photos being with text information backwards then? Seems fake, but the hawlucha picture in the 3D battle seems very convincing.

  6. something strange: Greninja is the first Water starter to “lose” the dark blue. I mean Totodile line and Mudkip line are normal/light blue in all 3 forms. Squirtle is light blue, Wartortle is darker and Blastoise even darker. Also Piplup/Oshawott/Froakie have something dark blue in the base form which grows over with evolutions. But while Empoleon and Samurott are totally dark blue Greninja totally lost the dark blue of Froakie and Frogadier and returns to froakie light blue.I mean why does it loses the dark blue on its hands and legs and instead gains white spots? Isn’t this strange?

    • By the way: I love ohow Game Freak sometimes releases pokemons based in traditional cultures from different countries, instead of just picking an animal and adding it some water/grass/fire details. For example, in the fifth generation we had Braviary, which had the colours of United States flag, was based in American simbolic animal, the eagle, and represented some values traditionally attached to U.S, as it is bravery. I would like to see more often cultural based pokemons. In fact, I think some of these are the best designed.

  7. Barely any endgame?
I might not get the game if this is true, I still haven’t completed all of the PWT in Black 2, it’s really really good.
XY needs a Battle Frontier equivalent or I’m not geting it, Battle Factory is too much fun to give up.

  9. I Hope everyone noticed in Hawluchas image in the pokedex, the DS’s Home Button is backwards, but the button to go back from the pokedex is facing the correct direction… this just strikes me as poor photo shop >…>

  10. I think Hawklucha is real. But it honestly just scares me that someone has this game and has completed it and claims there to be no aftergame. I’m really scared.

  11. Does anybody else not notice that Greninja can learn Extrasensory? Possibly Water/Fighting, and it can learn Extrasensory! *looks at Fennekin* I need to see you for a second… >_>

  12. Apparently, the original italian lady said that there would be some phoenix that would be Water/Flying with it’s wings wet. Perhaps she mistakened it for Hawklucha?
