The pictures above purport to be from a review copy of Pokémon X. As you can see, they claim that this is the final evolution of Froakie, Greninja, and a new Flying/Fighting-type Pokémon called Hawlucha. The latter Pokémon also has a new Fighting-type attack called Flying Press.
UPD2: A new image has surfaced claiming to show the final evolution of Chespin from behind. This is from a different person than the person who posted Greninja & Hawlucha. UPD: Confirmed fake
The poster also mentioned that XP is also much easier to earn and that entire parties will get some from battles with the use of EXP Share, a key item found early in the game. He also mentioned that XY only introduce around 70 new Pokémon. He also said that there barely is any endgame, with you only being able to catch Mewtwo and the Z legendary.
UPD1: A new Pokémon has supposedly been photographed. No other details are currently known. Remember, we do not know if these Pokémon are real or fake, so please don’t consider them as either until they are proven one or the other.
UPD3: We broke the site record for most visits in one day! Also, be wary of all the ‘leaks’ out there, there are so much (blatant) fakes going around that the legit leaks may get lost in it!

The hawk looks legit to me. Maybe I’m a little bias because a Garuda Pokemon would be pretty cool.
I’m not sure about Greninja because it doesn’t take very many design cues from the previous evolutions at all. It loses the bubble scarf, a defining feature that it had as Froakie and Frogadier, and gains a giant tongue… that it uses as a scarf. Creative for sure, but it seems impractical. It also loses the white button spots on its nose. If the final evo was going to lose those in the first place, why did Froakie and Frogadier have them in the first place? It’s more like GF to have them “evolve” into something than erase them.
The other screenshots look legit, though….

Well, yeah, in design it’s cool. Maybe when I see official artwork, I’ll like it more (as usual). The pink scarf is a lot less cool than a scarf of bubbles, though.
I’m not really looking at it from a cool standpoint, though. I’m just wondering how Frogadier evolved into this.
People have noted themes change sometimes. Squirtle and Wartortle both have fluffy tails, wartortle getting fluffy ears, and they lose them. Chikorita and Bayleef both have a head leaf, which suddenly loses it to having antenna. Crazy things happen.
True, which is why it could still be legit. I just feel too many defining features of the evolutionary line were left out here.

Greninja and Hawlucha look okay in my book. That barnacle thing, though, seems a little out-of-place. There are always a few gonkish designs in every generation, though. Maybe I’ll learn to roll with it.
Yea. Greninja design choice is interesting! Same goes to the hawk-like thing. That barnacle-thing is just plain old weird.
And this is my updated list of Pokemon that I think will get retconned into fairy. I’m not saying all of these will come true, its just the ones that I feel have the potential too. I know it seems like a lot of fairies but I think it makes sense as seeing that a lot should exist by now since we are on gen 6. This will cause the online competitive scene to be shaken up quite a lot, and if they introduce atleast 50 Mega’s, and about 10 new fairies in 6th gen online scene would be crazily unpredictable and fun.

I also wanted to put Zoroark as Dark/Fairy cause of its “illusion” but I didn’t know how well that would’ve been perceived, besides its ability zoroark isn’t too fairyish to me like Darkrai is.
I did that based off of its “moon” influences, I can see it learning Moon Blast. And it seems Nymph like to me, with its long ghastly like white thing protruding from its head and big blue sylveon eyes.

It kind of was. Masuda said they worked on 5th Generation on the side! When B/W released, it was around the time of the 3DS. They got a Dev Kit. They had to start working on X & Y! B2/W2 were sideprojects to GameFreak!

Yes. The Froakie evo is hideous in my opinion. I think that it would of matched the Pokebeach rumor better and having bubbles go down it’s neck instead of some stupid tongue thing.
It’s definitely not what I’d have pictured. Not a huge fan, but not 100% against it. But we may not even know if these pictures are authentic until the 12th.
So I’ve been thinking about the Dual typed moves rumor and the move Freeze Dry. Somebody earlier pointed out that Freeze Dry is probably what was meant by dual typed moves. Not a move that has two types, but a move that shouldn’t normally be effective against a certain type, but is (Freeze Dry > Water).
So I thought about the latest CoroCoro where there was a ??? next to the moves for Geomancy and Oblivion Wing. We already know they’re a Fairy type and Dark type attack respectively. Since there were question marks though, many speculated these moves could be dual typed attacks.
Here’s my theory: I think Geomancy and Oblivion Wing will have an effect similar to Freeze Dry, where they’re also SE against another type. I think Oblivion Wing will be SE against Fairy, to give Yveltal some form of advantage over Xerneas. And since I have a strong feeling the “Z” Legendary will be Poison, I think Geomancy will be SE against Poison.
I think that’s how all dual-typed attacks will work; rather than actually having two types, they might just do certain special damage to specific opposing types.
That is one theory that I actually strongly believe. Kind of like how Scald was a Water-type attack that would be learned by Fire-type Pokemon.

Yes! Earth Power is kind of Ground/Fire. And good thinking, the elemental punches should have a dual effect as well, like being super effective against dark types or something like that…
When I first saw the move in GenIII, I thought it was a dual typed move. Got pretty disappointed when it turned it was just water typed. Would’ve been an awesome move for Swampert
