    Cons: All my friends are getting it, Mewtwo Y
    Pokemon X:
    Pros: None of my friends are getting it, Mewtwo X
    Cons: I don’t like Xerneas as much, worse version Differences

    • I think the starter selection is another fake pic. It’s just another screen of something we’ve seen before. The bottom is bland and easily could be made and edited in.

      So far we’ve gotten this badger Pokemon which matches a description from Pokebeach’s latest rumors. The background in that image looks to be an edited version of a similar scene where Helioptile was the Pokemon. GJ, a reliable person on neogaf (who also has stated if you’re on his friends list you can see he’s playing the game) has said those rumors are all made up. Also from R_N, a moderator on serebii: “Neogaf’s pretty serious about people making claims that don’t follow through. By which I mean they’re banned.Considering their registration process (in turn likely due to the amount of industry people that post there) that’s kind of a set back. So I don’t really see reason to doubt the dude, especially if he’s gained an accurate reputation on there.”

      We’ve seen a picture of the title screen, meanwhile tons of photos of the title screen exist because of the demo.

      And now this picture of the starter selection, something we’ve also seen, but this time with the bottom portion visible.

      This person needs to take a picture that includes something we haven’t seen.

      • Serebii likes to ban pretty much everybody who isn’t the Pokemon Company. I know this is a surprise but not everyone on 4chan and Neogaf are liars. We shouldn’t assume just because it is on 4chan or Neogaf that it’s fake we should actually attempt to gather logical facts and speculation to why something can be debunked or not.

        However pretty sure the selection bottom screen is fake.

        • I don’t get what serebii banning people has to do with what I said?

          We’ve been over why the Badger pic could possibly be fake now a ton already in regards to the background.

          The title screen has already been seen via the demo version. Tons of pics out there.

          And thank you for that image. Forgot about it. That is what the bottom screen will look like during starter selection.

          • I was just commenting on what Serebii said about Neogaf. I don’t think it’s fair for Serebii to just assume that everything on Neogaf is now a lie. They are doing that with 4chan too.

          • I agree with you; we must remain skeptical when given screenshots from anyone other than TPCi itself. However, that means we should also keep an open mind about every leak until proven fake.

          • R_N basically said he/she doesn’t see any reason to doubt GJ on neogaf given the seriousness and registration process of the site. Also the fact that GJ has a solid reputation. I don’t see anything saying everything on Neogaf is a lie.

          • Oh I read it wrong, I didn’t realize he was talking about GJ. I still doubt GJ though, because he hasn’t posted pictures or other forms of evidence. Likewise though they did ban 4chan. That makes me a sad pancham.

            Neogaf isn’t very serious though so I dunno where he got that from…maybe they got more strict about it…but far as I know they don’t really keep track of people making claims.

            I’m uncertain as people still trust Hiro even though he’s not a tester or reviewer of this generation.

            I’m not even sure I trust the Italian person…

          • No biggie lol. I actually trust GJ. He has said he doesn’t want to lose his job. His friends on neogaf can also see that he’s playing the game, and I’m sure if they saw he wasn’t doing so when he said he was, they’d be posting he’s a liar. He’s also apparently a reviewer for a Dutch website.

            As for Hiro, he’s been on and off this generation. He got Fairy type right, and that’s it.

          • Neogaf isn’t serious? Lol, it is one of the mot reliable rumour mills out there. Make one false claim and you can kiss your account goodbye.

          • Um okay? That isn’t a false claim, it’s an opinion. We’re allowed to have those thanks to the Constitution of the United States. It is unnecessary to threaten a member over something silly like that.

            I never found rumors very reliable until actually proven completely true by official releases…rumors are just something to have fun with in the meantime. I don’t see the logic in calling a rumor ‘reliable’ even if a part of it is proven true because you can’t prove something true until it is officially revealed. So how is a leaker reliable? Even if one part of what he leaks is proven true, we can’t assume still that the rest of it is.

            Besides leakers that stop by one of the most popular gaming community to spread their leaks, a large majority of the site is basically Gamefaqs. :/ I haven’t seen much evidence on the site to prove my opinion wrong either. So maybe they are serious with leakers…which doesn’t seem like the largest community within the site.

            Ironically, the apparent recent leak came from someone’s Facebook page and just was spread to NeoGAF so…iunno.

      • Plus, I thought that image of that open case with three Pokeballs, which has been seen in conjunction with the Starters was the starter selection screen, and you click those Pokeballs.

    • I would have thought that the bottom screen would be the same as when sycamore gives you you’re starters. it would be 3 3D pokeballs in a line

Back to the topic of Pokemon: I read some old Pokemon forums when it was aoout two weeks to Pokemon Black/White being released..It was funny how in denial people were when it came to legit leaks. A LOT of people didn’t want to believe that Axew could evolve into Haxorus…lol. I wonder what we will be in denial of when legit leaks start happening (if they do)

      • Agreed. Though, that also brings up Alohomola or however it’s spelled, despite the leaks saying there was no evolutions of old Pokemon in the game, that there was no way it was not an evolution from Luvdisc, even when it was getting a bit more and more clear it was going to be distinct. Same goes with Buffolunt too.

          • Oh yeah, I’m not saying I think it shouldn’t be the evolution of Luvdisc, it does seem really REALLY bizarre for them to make something so close that isn’t related. But, just that by that point, it was kind of becoming clear it was going to not be related, for whatever reason.

    • Yeah, I remember that. Especially on Serebii, there were some VICIOUS arguments that Axew to Haxorus was IMPOSSIBLE. For really REALLY lame reasons, like Axew didn’t have three claws on his feet, so that was clear evidence.

    • From what I saw most people seemed to think that Axew was way too “cute” to evolve into something as ferocious as Haxorus. Also people were so confused by the descriptions leaking before the pics (like they couldn’t imagine a Steel/Bug flying saucer alien Pokemon and Genie legendary trio etc)…Reading the descrips, I don’t know how I would’ve felt either if I read them before I saw them haha

      • I thought hated Amoongus, Scraggy/Scrafty, Stunfisk,Accelgor, Ferrothorn, and Garbador when I saw the dex. I kept saying it wasn’t real, until the evidence became more and more compelling.

        Though now I love scraggu/scrafty and Garbador. The others I don’t hate now, except for Amoongus. I just can’t.

    • I’ve just read old articles about Melkor’s BW leak and I saw that I was in doubt for mainly two things that times:

      He was revealing pokemon by saying “…. Evo”, not actual name.
      Regional Bug being so lately placed in Pokedex

      But after seeing amazing Cottonee and Whimsicott I seem like starting to believe the leak.

      • Of course, turns out the regional bugs WERE placed so lately in the Pokedex, partly due to the fact they were more powerful than the usual regional bugs. Though, doesn’t look like they are keeping to that trend with the new bugs, which is a shame.

    • I just love the Disqus format for chat since we can have conversations in a non-linear fashion. It’s difficult to use a chatroom since everyone is chiming in all at once. Could we have some sort of disqus chat reserved for anything? The former format just isn’t as enjoyable.

      • A forum is mostly used for branched conversations. It’s a bit on the slower side but I believe it makes up for it with people actually having to put thought into their comments.

        • Disqus is more convenient than forums, actually. Forums are slower because the format is less like a conversation and more like a blog. I think that’s what Ffff meant and I think he has a good idea.

          • I don’t think Disqus is convenient though. Once you get to third indention things go awkwadly with no option to collapse branches and such. The whole thing becomes a chore to scroll though and moderating in Disqus is one big hell.

          • I see. It’s more convenient for your members, though, is what I was implying. While I can see the need to moderate in order to continue representing a member-friendly community, it’s pretty evident that many members still prefer Disqus due to the flow of communication over a forum.

          • I agree Disqus is preferable over forums, but mostly when it comes to the topic at hand. Comments are intended as an added discussion to the article, providing readers additional information on the thing they chose to read.
            But Disqus also makes things derail far too easy. Maybe you think it is better that way, but I know some long standing commenters who gets discouraged for coming back because of all the spam.

          • Does anyone know why things derail so quickly? But, we should probably have an article for those kinds of discussions, where the rules are bended for us to have any discussion as long as it is appropriate. I do not mean to be rude to you, if it is taken that way 😉

          • Um because we are humans…talking to each other? Getting derailed is BOUND to happen. Eventually we get back on track.

          • Yeah, it is fun to get off topic, but we need to truly understand the rules and stop getting off-topic, including me, as I am often in those topics as well, sadly. 🙁 Hopefully the mods understand that we are sorry for what is happening.

      • I don’t…understand why being off-topic matters, we are on the subjects of X and Y. Most people hang around the newest topic that has been posted, and the leaks (mainly fake but whatever) floating around are a constant wave of discussion. There isn’t much to talk about the forum anyway. Suppose basically…it depends on if PJ wants constant unrelated communication or a dead thread

        • Like they explained before, it takes away from the people who want to converse about the posted subject. Do we really care when you go to bed, and do we need to know that? I mean I know this site has the best community experience, but once the site blew up it’s been hard to control for the staff.

          • I agree, the ‘hey going to bed’ or ‘im leaving’ posts are unnecessary but there are considerably more comments relating to only slightly off topic discussions as opposed to completely out of the blue bullcrap. Likewise, though, in my experience, it’s near impossible to keep posts on topic even in forums…however many users always found discussions fun. While discussions shouldn’t be completely unrelated as if you are posting on Facebook, I don’t believe there should be a problem so long as the topics are at least related somehow. This is a Pokemon discussion place.

          • I don’t mind the occasional ‘have you seen this new and exciting stuff’. But once the threads starts getting derailed everybody jumps on it and starts asking stuff that has been asked 200 times already in the past five days. It gets annoying and those sort of things are better moved to a more permanent and meaningful discussion.

          • I thought you guys were going to post a jungle talk every once and a while to solve our spamming problem ? and mount moon slightly confuses me :p

        • Yeah, I already post on another forum. But the Disqus format is a quite unique form of discussion and the main reason why I keep coming back. Without this format of discussion, there is no reason to come back since it wouldn’t offer this unique format of chatting.
