PokéBeach has posted some new rumors that they claim to have received from a reliable source. As always, I post these rumors for discussion purposes only, please do not post them elsewhere as confirmed information or interpret these as me posting information as real.
New Pokémon
- Trusk & its pre-evolution: Grass/Rock Pokémon with long green tusks and grey skin. Pre-evolution was described as “adorable”
- Apparachnid: Ghost-type spider Pokémon which appears in caves. It is grey with blue spots and has a glowing abdomen. May have an evolution
- Quillom: Normal/Poison procupine Pokémon. New attack with a high chance of poisoning. Its skin is white and its quills are purple
- Badger Pokémon: Name unknown, but it is dark brown with stripes and knows a new biting move
- Froakie’s Final Evolution: Water/Fighting and resembles a poison dart frog. Uses its legs to attack. Its form gets a bit heavier and it is mostly dark blue now
- Bunnelby Evolution: Ground/Dark and round. Much larger than it’s pre-evolution
- Helioptile Evolution: Stands on two legs and has two yellow triangle designs on its face now. Its appearance becomes more menacing and its ears are more rough and there are spikes going down its back. Learns the new attack Thunder Roll
- Espurr: Pre-evolution of Meowstic, very cute
Competitive Information
- Chansey-line, Dunsparce, Clefairy-line, and Togepi-line are now Fairy-type
- Fairy Dust: New attack which causes a random status condition from Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or Burn
- A Wailmer game is shown for the Super Training Facility games
Game Information
- Team Flare is featured at the beginning of the game in a TV segment. They encourage trainers to match their style and Pokémon
- Opening cinematic in the game is 3D and features the player character watching Yveltal (Pokémon Y?) fly across the sky. More in-game shots follow
- Xerneas and Yveltal’s 3D models can be rotated using the analog stick on the title screen.

I always love rumors. The one I really hope is true is the spider. There really needs to be more spider pokemon and hopefully a spider legendary sometime soon.
I agree. I don’t even feel like Spinarak/Galvantula families were proper spiders. I thought a spider had 8 legs not 4.
True. I honestly love them both but with those being the only spider lines…it’s a little disappointing. But either way, pokemon games are always great. I just want more spiders just as a lot of others want a wolf or dunsparce to evolve. (though of course both of those would be great too)

Spinarak has six legs and Ariados has also 6 but two of them are not in user anymore ( the ones above its abdomen)
I think both families were given less legs to make the design seem less crowded/stuffed.
I can’t figure out why in the world a ghost spider would be just Ghost-type. It just doesn’t sound true to me, honestly.
I can see why it sounds off. One would expect more of a ghost/bug or perhaps even ghost/grass though the first is the more likely of the two. Though a ghost spider? that’s a dream come true for me as far as pokemon goes. Regardless of the second type if there is one.
It would definitely be a great new Halloween mascot! I’m still holding on to those dreams of a Ghost/Grass pumpkin Pokémon.
A grass/ghost pumpkin would be awesome. i’d love a whole haunted area for x and y with a lot of new dark and ghost types. the number of pokemon that has those types is just too low for me (at least it seems pretty low). also, did anyone else just see that new X and Y commercial? surprisingly it was on comedy central. looks awesome though.
Ghost-type is the rarest type (4.16% of all Pokemon), with only 27 as of gen V
followed by Dragon-type as second rarest (4.47% of all Pokemon) with only 29, and Ice-type as the third rarest type (4.78% of all Pokemon) with 31, including Castform and Rotom’s formes.

Well it didn’t say it was only a ghost type, just that is was a ghost type. And it may have an evolution. So maybe then it will evolve into ghost/bug! Of course if these rumors are true

I also like the idea of a Ghost spider though. Someone had said the idea behind it was probably stepping on a spider and it comes back as a ghost. So in this sense you can’t step on this new spider anymore cause its Ghost/Poison. Brilliant.
There is one reason that they may have made it just Ghost, despite classifications in the past – spiders aren’t bugs. There are some things to suggest more attention to such minor details.

I still think there aren’t enough spiders. Sure I hate bugs in general and could happily live without them, but I just LOVE any and all arachnids, spiders, scorpions, the huge spiders of Australia, all of em.

Me too. I always use a Pokemon that has “Pick Up” ability to carry around on my adventure with me to find me potions and rare candies lol, so this gives me even more of a reason to use Bunnelby. For Pick Up and for Dark type to evolve Pancham. Sweet. Take my coins Gamefreak!!

I was thinking Eviolite Chansey may become Uber, but then again it just gained weaknesses to Poison/Steel so probably not.

I’m a bit iffy on these ones seeing Bunnelby’s evo type change is a bit…much. Added in that how can Togepi’s line be re-typed fairy if its final evo is Normal/Flying, implying it looses one type upon evolution, or a type all together.

Azuril-> Marril and Surskit->Masqurain both lost a type upon evo.
aren’t Feebas and Magikarp water types, and Gyrados gains flying type with water type dude. And I think Milotic stayed water.

Azurill is Normal type and evolves into a Water type currently, and Surskit is Bug/Water and evolves into a Bug/Flying.
I don’t see a problem if Togepi was to be Normal/Fairy and evolve into a Flying/Fairy.
Think about it. Who would care if Togekiss loses its normal STAB in competitive play, about 0.01% of users use the rare “Tri Attack”.

I’m looking forward to others being retconned like Water/Fairy Milotic, Lumineon, Manaphy, and a few others. Retconned fairies are the things I’m most looking forward to for X and Y.
The move Fairy Dust sounds absolutely amazing. We still need confirmation on that new Poison move “Belch”.
Togekiss is the perfect Fairy-type. More so than Sylveon.

Well, when you think about it, considering Pokemon X & Y are only a few weeks away, some people might already have the games for review purposes (for all we know, IGN most likely has their copy). So what I’m implying is, these rumors have a large chance of being real, but still, don’t get your hopes up.

The ROM was shown last week to the Press. I’m totally buying all of this. That spider Pokemon is something I am going to consider adding to my team! A creepy spider. Galvantula was too cute and Ariados wasn’t the typical 8 eyed spider.

Remember if it’s a pokebeach rumor it’s probably legit. Espurr so far is the only one that is legit from the list as the same leaker called meowstic’s existence.
Not really ‘legit’. Even Pokebeach is treating these rumors with an open mind. The leaker apparently had some evidence to back his/her claims.
I can say that Espurr is real. Everything else i’m not too sure but i believe this source.
The evidence this is probably can’t be shown due to legal reasons. Remember the scandal back in 2010? Nintendo almost wanted to shut down Serebii and Pokebeach.
Had they shut down Serebii and Pokebeach they probably would have shut down pokejungle and i’d end up depressed ._.
They would shut down all related news bringing websites if to protect their product. Might seem extreme, but leakers have got to be careful.

Pretty sure, actually, when information (I believe leaks of the starters) was spread around the internet about B/W. Nintendo has done other things like that before…they shut down numerous sites with hacks and MMOs relating to Pokemon. This is actually a common case for companies to protect their products from slander and unwanted association.

Ok I just finished ACTUALLY reading the article, and these are my thoughts: The Fairy-type retypings seem reasonable, looks like we’re getting a Dragon/Electric Helioptile evo (:D), Bunellby’s evo seems Farfetch’d, but hey, at least it’s another Dark-type (:D), and I LOVE the other rumors! What seems to be another elephant, a porcupine, and a Ghost Spider! 😀
If Pyroar remained Normal/Fire, I have a feeling Heloptile’s evo will remain Normal/Elecric 🙁

I’m going to cry so hard tears of joy tomorrow if they reveal an actual new evolution of Dunsparce (one with a Pokedex entry, not a Mega). I’m having butterflies in my stomach and something is telling me were are going to get an evolution of an old pokemon, and not a mega.
I’m also a bit gutted that they selected who receives a mega based off popularity. And basically confirmed Mega’s put them in a class of “legendaries”. I wonder if smogon will make Mega Poke’s for Uber matches only.

Bunnelby evolving into a Dark Pokemon early on is pretty cool too. This gives us a chance of evolving Pancham (since allegedly you need another dark type in your party).
I’m glad they are breaking trends for normal pokes! Fletchling becoming Fire/Flying and Bunnelby becoming Ground/Dark!

Lest we forget though! The mammal of 4th Gen also broke trend by evolving into a Normal/Water (Bidoof/Bibarel) – but not as much a drastic change as 6th gen

Pancham won’t be able to evolve until Level 30+, and there will probably be plenty of Dark-type pokemon to catch before then.
There isn’t a level cap for Pancham. It will evolve if you have another dark type in your party. Although there will probably be changes to its move set depending on if you level it early or not.
“Pancham evolves into Pangoro in the early level 30s. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, you need to have one other Dark-type Pokemon in your party. Pangoro’s type is Fighting/Dark.”

The official reveal didn’t talk about the way to evo. in specific, just that it evolves in a new way. IIRC
There was a reveal in the official Spanish Nintendo magazine that officially announced the evolution method. All it says is to level Pancham up with another dark type in the party.

I got a text from twitter during lunch at school saying that a new pokemon would be revealed wednesday so i got excited looked at my friend next to me and gave a celebratory high five.
