Pokémon Smash has revealed that Junichi Masuda will appear on the show on the 15th of this month. The episode will be a special one named XY Institute Special, and will showcase some more Mega Evolutions. We will be covering the episode live. Most stuff will probably already be revealed in Corocoro, which is due to leak in a few days, most likely the beginning of next week.
Update: Wes pointed out that Masuda-san will also be on stage to talk about the XY Anime. Which is actually less shocking and more interesting news. Remember, the anime will begin airing October 17th, the week after the games get released.
I think this truly deserves the Shocking News title, nobody would have thought Smash was doing a special! Keep checking back for more possible news and opinions on Pokémon XY. In the meantime, discuss what they could possible reveal in the comments! (but don’t spam ok, or else i’ll be sad 🙁 )

When you say from Sinnoh, do you mean Generation IV? If that’s the case then definitely Yanmega.
I’d have to say Mismagius design-wise. It was the first Gen IV pokemon I had ever seen.
But from a battlers point of view, I would say Gallade. I mean, how can you not like this guy? Gardevoir was my favorite Gen III pokemon, and then I get this BA? Hell, yeah!
I don’t usually chose favorites as all pokemon are my children…but if I had to, I’d say my favorite Sinnoh Pokemon is Magnezone.

I am not sure about that; we are getting so very close to the release of the games, Gamefreak has to release its floodgates soon. We’re about a month away.
They do, but it won’t be via Smash. Everyone always gets excited for Smash episodes. If tomorrow’s ep shows the Kanto Megas, then next week will be a rehash of CoroCoro.
Regardless of what they show, I highly doubt there is going to be any info that we hadn’t seen prior (except tiny battle gameplay bits)

You know, it’s actually quite surprising that we do not have an actual to goodness T-Rex Pokemon. You’d think that would be one of the FIRST things they’d do. And Tyranitar doesn’t count at all, for one it looks absolutely nothing like a T-rex, not a fossil Pokemon, and it’s only similar to a T-Rex by name in English anyways.

Well, that’s an obvious one, though I also can hear the Digimon comparisons coming with that. It would be a bit of a stretch, but they apparently think that the T-Rex may have been like a Komodo Dragon, having a poisonous/toxic/bacteria filled mouth, whatever, bite. So, Rock/Poison. But, once again, it could be seen as a bit of a stretch. Would be a new type combo though.

True, that’s an option too, but if we were going for something more mundane, Rock/Poison would be my choice. Plus, I’ve actually seen a fan mon that seemed pretty well designed, a fire starter that was a t-rex, and they went the Fire/Poison route as well.

You seem to forget that millions of cartridges have to be produced and shipped… They don’t change anything one month before release. But you don’t know when this Trailer was made, maybe it is not actual game footage.
