Right now it’s 10:50PM, Japan Standard Time. I’m typing this up before I take a bath and go to sleep so I can get some rest before teaching a bunch of kids tomorrow at summer school. And after Friday ends… we’ll have new information from Saturday and Sunday’s “Pokémon Game Show”. The first day the site will be monitoring closely any news and break any new information to English-speaking fans. We’ve got NL and Kriff manning the translation booth and they continue to produce some of the highest quality translations in the Pokémon fandom. Hopefully some Japanese fans will post pictures.
On the second day (Sunday), I’ll be going myself to cover the event. I don’t anticipate digging up any exclusive information, it will probably all be spilled by Saturday, but I will be able to take pictures and give you a write up that gives you a little insight into what the event was like 🙂
For now, let’s take a quick look at what we might get based on past precedents.
PGS Expectations:
- Mega Evolutions featured in the demo. This was already confirmed by the Official Nintendo Magazine.
- New Pokémon! This was seen back when Black & White were first demoed, as well as Diamond and Pearl! (Fun fact: I played the demo for the 4th Gen in a gaming shop near my school in Osaka. Was fun to play with Roserade.)
- New merchandise. We don’t focus on it much, but there’ll probably be some cool stuff there for PGS-goers.
- …and more! No doubt the very first Pokémon Game Show will pack a few surprises for us 🙂
Everyone ready for the news rush this weekend?! I HOPE YOU ARE! Remember to stick to PokéJungle, we’re going to be giving you our all to get out all new information from the land of the rising sun 🙂

Featured Thread: What Pokemon Do You Think Ash Will Use In The X Y Anime by shroom847
Anyone else in Uk staying up to watch? I’m gonna be so tired tomorrow but hopefully it’s worth it 😀
you are beatifull!! 😀 im here waiting in DR
It must be so late (or early) over there. Have fun with the all-nighter, though it will hopefully be worth it.
Screw waiting up, I have to be up at 6:30 anyway, plenty to look forward to
Oh man am I pumped for this!
6:46 here from Dominican Republic and you guys?
I’m in New York City, but same time zone, so 6:48 PM here. Think it starts for us at 9:00 PM?
Yup c:
Only 2 more hours 😀
ohhh 2 hours?
My egg on tinymonsters hatches two hours also! I wonder what it is. :p
I’m playing games to keep my mind away from pokemon for a couple if hours.
im playing pokemon xD back 2
My DS broke.. =/ I haven’t played Pokémon in like a year, but ima get A 3DS XL for X and Y…Cant Wait!
.-. really!!? too bad I bought my 3ds since the first time I saw the first trailer xD
The internet is going to explode once the demo starts!
I’m expecting news from the list of trademarked names of Pokemon that are speculated to be Megalutions and some of the Pokemon from that list of 14 Japanese names that had Dedenne and Bunnelby on it. I’m just scared that Game Freak might be throwing another curveball at us with some drastic new feature. I hope that Fairy types and Megamon are the only major things… I think they’re both great but they have to pull it off pretty good to get fandom approval I think.
Will this article be updated when coverage starts or will there be a new article(s) posted?
I want some version exclusive content. Swirlix/Spritzee AND Clauncher/Skrelp evo’s.
How am I supposed to pre-order?!?
I am in the exact same dilemna, as much as I love clauncher, I love yveltal also. But I get this feeling that clauchers evo will look bad while, skrelp will become a poison/dragon…no more speculation…gimmme the info from the gameshow now
I wanted Y first but exclusives seem better to me in X for me
I wanted Y from the beginning. With the exclusives revealed, I want Y even more! My brother will get X, so it doesn’t really bother me anyway.
you’d said that bofore xD
Well, I can say it everyday if I want. ;p
I am rooting for the Swirlix and Skrelp evo’s. So, that pretty much sucks. I hope I love one of them and despise the other to resolve the conflict.
Pre-order both versions like I did?
you are rich, he is poor
A Pokemon game show? Sounds intriguing! Just a shame they don’t have anything like this in the US.

I have new information for everyone!!
Apparently, Meganium will have a Megalution that will be an event pokemon only available to those that pre-order.
It’s a Mega Meganium with Mega Drain, Mega Kick, Mega Punch, and Megahorn.
It will also be nicknamed Megan.
ujum…….. show me the imagen??
Replace “Meganium” with “Yanmega”
Oh, actually you get bof of dem.
Lol Megan xD nice try
…
If that were true I would be happy, although I am not convinced
I can’t tell if you are sarcastic or slow :/
Just forget about it then :/
XD
😛 Megan the Meganium…good one
You mean Megan the Megameganium
One day, MegaYanmega and MegaMeganium went to the park. MegaMeganium brought Meganiumite for MegaYanmega, and MegaYanmega brought Yanmeganite for MegaMeganium. When they traded, they evolved into Super Saiyans. The End
Eh, now you ruined it.
But it took me a whole minute to type that D: XD
with Meganiumite
yanmega megaevolves to megayanmega using yanmeganite and uses mega drain
on megameganium which had megaevolved from meganium using meganiumite.
That is one crazy tongue-twister. xP
I can’t wait to hear the announcers recap battles in the next VGC…xD
That gave me a Mega-headache!
