Zorua Community Day, Bramblin’s debut and more coming to Pokémon GO

October’s Community Day is coming up soon in Pokémon GO, plus we’re covering other events that will be taking place next month! There are also some recently announced collaborations that fans may want to take advantage of to get new avatar items!

If you missed it, there will also be Astronaut Pikachu raids taking place in Europe to celebrate Space Week!

Zorua Community Day details

Zorua Community Day will be taking place in Pokémon GO on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Hisuian Zorua will be included in this Community Day event.

Evolving Zorua into Zoroark during the event (or up to four hours after) will result in Zoroark knowing the featured Fast Attack Sucker Punch.

For the duration of the event, the following bonuses will be in effect:

• 3× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
• Event-themed Field Research tasks
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
• Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek event details

From Tuesday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, October 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek event will be taking place in Pokémon GO. The Pokémon Bramblin will be making its debut in the game. How it can evolve into Brambleghast has not yet been revealed; it had a unique requirement in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that involved walking outside of its Poké Ball and leveling up. Additionally, this event will be the first time players can increase Mega Manectric’s Mega Level to Super Max Level for additional bonuses.

Bonuses during the event include:

• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Electrike.
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Hisuian Growlithe from Incense from October 16 at 10:00 a.m. to October 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
• Event-themed Field Research tasks
• GO Pass Tier 1: Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for two hours.
• GO Pass Tier 2: Earn 5× Mega Energy by exploring with Electrike or Manectric as your buddy after Mega Evolving Manectric at least once.

Pokémon encounters

Wild Pokémon that will appear more frequently during the event include Ponyta*, Doduo*, Electrike*, Blitzle* and, rarely, Skarmory.

Incense will attract different Pokémon depending on the day:

Sandile Hatch Day details

Sandile Hatch Day will be held in Pokémon GO on Saturday, October 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Players will be more likely to hatch Sandile from 2 km Pokémon Eggs obtained during the event and those Sandile will have an increased likelihood of being Shiny.

The following bonuses will be in effect:

• 2× Candy from hatching Eggs
• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance
• Increased chance of hatching Shiny Sandile
• Increased chance of receiving 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops

adidas collaboration now running

Players can now visit participating adidas stores to get Timed Research that award a jacket and cap for avatar customization, as well as XP, Stardust, a Lucario encounter, Lucario Mega Energy and more.

The Timed Research can be obtained until Friday, January 15, 2027, at 8:00 p.m. local time and must be completed by Saturday, February 13, 2027, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration promotion

To celebrate the release of the Pokémon TCG’s 30th Celebration set, Pokémon GO players can visit participating Best Buy, GameStop and Target locations to take on Mega Gengar in Mega Raids and pick up Timed Research.

Players can also get a Gengar avatar item with a Pokémon GO gift card purchased at one of those retailers as well, “Trainers who redeem a Pokémon GO gift card from Target, GameStop, or Best Buy between September 27 and October 31, 2026, will receive the Gengar Knit Cap avatar item”.

This promotion will end on Tuesday, October 20, at 10:00 p.m. local time and any Timed Research must be completed by Friday, November 20, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. local time.
