Today is the day! After 9 months waiting the games are finally here, Pokémon Sword & Shield are now available worldwide!
We hope everyone has enjoyed not only our countdown with The Path to Sword & Shield, but also spending the past 9 months (and longer!) on the site with us. We’ve grown significantly this year and we’re so happy to have shared every step of the way with all of our fantastic readers!

I like how when you become champion, all the mons in the wild area are scaled up to lv60
So, if they do a remake of Diamond and Pearl, do you think they’ll leave out the wild area? I hope not. I think they could fuse it with Mt. Coronet. I Imagine it being a smaller wild area, but have it span multiple stacked floors of the mountain, with Spear Pillar at the top. Have outside portions with cliffsides and bodies of water. The higher you go, the more threatening the wild pokemon.
So what’s the deal with Spikemuth and the Gym leader there.
Apparently not thought of as ‘our own’ by the chairman, but his badge is still accepted as part of the league/champion cup?

Little tip; in the left sided hotel in Cichester, on the 2nd floor in one of the rooms you’ll find the Game Director who gives you the Catching Charm which increases the odds of a critical capture.
The same building has the oval charm when you become champion
I havent had any luck finding gmax in raids however guess who caught a lvl 50 Morgrem in a raid when my entire party is less than lvl 48. Now I have a nice lvl 51 Grimmsnarl ready for gym 7
Does anyone know whereabouts to find a lucky egg?
So you have to catch a Gigantamax pokemon in a raid in the Wild Area in order to have one? My Corvisquire can’t evolve into Corviknight and Gigantamax?
Hmm, that’s interesting. I got a German grookey in a trade, and he’s keeping his German translated name throughout his evolution process. It evolved into a Chimstix rather than a Thwackey.
Nickit and Thievul are rivals with basically every Pokémon… well, Yamper and Purrloin so far, but that’s two more than a lot of other Pokémon

Can someone give me a brief rundown on how to get Giga forms? I know they have to be in that form in the raid, but I haven’t found any yet. Are they unlocked at a certain point in the game?

Another tip; after you become champion and go to Hop’s house, there is a poke ball in the living room containing a lv5 Charmander that can Gmax. A gift from Leon.
What exactly is a living DeX? I dont need to raise everyone to lv.100, do i?

Theres something addicting and rewarding about making a living pokedex. It’s kinda scratching that same itch as when I collected cards and tried to complete sets and organized them in the correct order. I’m really enjoying myself.
Taking a break cause I’m still a little sick and wanted to rest. Just got my jersey number and about to battle Team Yell in the hotel. I was debating on hair color and hair style for Aurora but ultimately left it dark brown with a different hairstyle. Will post her trainer card later.
