We’re just days away from 2018 which happens to be a “Year of the Dog” according to the Chinese Zodiac. In Japan, the country of origin for the Pokémon series, there are reminders everywhere as New Years draws near. There are also plenty of dog-like Pokémon now in the series, so many so that it might be hard to just pick one favorite but today we challenge you to do just that! I’m really proud of myself tonight! I just ordered a Series 3 Apple Watch with an extra strap entirely with my own money earned from working (as well as a couple gift cards and a Christmas bonus). It’s definitely biggest purchase I’ve made so far but it feels really good to have earned this all on my own. Sure it’s a ridiculously expensive Apple accessory but it’s also a symbol of hard work! It’ll be here a couple days before the new year and I’ll probably wait until then to open it, just for added effect.
Update: for some reason my card was declined and I don’t know how to fix it. That’s no fun. I hope to report back with good news tomorrow.

Mine is a Normal/Ice type based on Mountain SAR dogs named Searchcue. It has two possible abilities. One makes it more likely to find rare pokemon if Searchcue is the first mon in your party. The second one works like pickup but it can only find Full Restores and has no effect in battle.

After listening to some Japanese-esque version of King Dedede’s song, I came up with some neat places the next Pokemon region could be:
– Cambodia (Beautiful temples)
– Nepal (A nice mountainous region)
– Tibet (Could have a story based on the monks and Buddhism)
– Iran (Literally could be filled with Persians)
– Mongolia (Nobody can stop the Huns)
