In Japan, the country of origin for the Pokémon series, there are reminders everywhere as New Years draws near. There are also plenty of dog-like Pokémon now in the series, so many so that it might be hard to just pick one favorite but today we challenge you to do just that! The last time we’ve started in Kanto was over a decade ago, and soon it’ll have been a decade since we’ve been in Kanto at all. It and Johto also haven’t been seen in 3D. They can do plenty with a Kanto revisit.

I just realized; how are we going to transfer USUM/SM Pokemon to Gen 8 on Switch? I hope they’ll allow some sort of DS/Switch connection which enables you to use some sort of AirDrop to drop your Pokemon across, and not either some stupid game hunting your Pokemon or not at all. Cuz if it’s like Gen 2 and 3 with the inability to transfer, that’ll stink.

Yes it does, you had to take out the Moon cartridge out of the 3DS, then INSERT the Ultra Moon cartridge to deliver the Pokemon inside.
Both your switch and 3DS will share the same bank. You won’t need to switch cartridges because both the Switch and 3DS have access to the same database for moving your Pokemon. But like all cross Gen transfer since Gen III > Gen IV, it’ll be irreversible.

Fam, i think you’re underestimating GameFreak and their software. It’s actually very simple, don’t worry about it. Technology wouldn’t be what limits GameFreak from letting you transfer your Pokemon. If you can’t transfer it’d be their choice.
It’ll just be bank. Because it’s an application and not hardware it’ll be super easy for them to do.
Hell, you could already transfer Pokemon between console and handheld in Gens III and IV, a one way transfer is nothing to worry about dude

Starters are the worst of all Gens. Absolutely terrible in literally every serious scenario in the game.
Johto Pokemon aren’t even available as widely as the Kanto Pokemon.
Ampharos had a terrible level up moveset in the originals, not much better in HGSS either.
Scizor, and Slowking required trade to evolve, not as easy to do back in the days as it is now.
Pupitar evolves into Tyranitar at lvl 55, with literally no where to grind out levels, due to once again, the terrible level curve.
