In Japan, the country of origin for the Pokémon series, there are reminders everywhere as New Years draws near. There are also plenty of dog-like Pokémon now in the series, so many so that it might be hard to just pick one favorite but today we challenge you to do just that! As promised I will release a few new Pokémon today, but they aren’t fully done so I’ll only reveal a few things about each
-A new Pig Pokémon that adds the theme of Water into its theme. They are Swiney (Combo of Swine and Whiney) and Warterhog (a combo of Warthog and Waterlogged) they are Ground and then evolves into Ground/Water
-Another new Ground type based on a hybrid of Dinosaurs and Construction vehicles like Bulldozers and Dump trucks. The first stage is Digasaur and evolves into the mighty Dinoze. Dinoze may become Ground/Steel if I see it needs it
-Finally a New Ice type based on Chinchillas named Chillchila. It most likely will evolve, but so far I cannot determine if it needs it.
Of what I’ve given what do you think of them so far?
The first one sounds quite similar to Swinub at this point.
Second depending on design would probably need to be part Steel.
Just gotta make sure Chillchila is different enough from Mincinno, but I like the name.

I probably should just give it Steel, knowing its body will be basically a T-Rex like body, but with a dump truck like back and its jaw look like an excavator mouth
Oh don’t worry Chillchilla is going to be quadrupedal and probably will grow a shaggy coat upon evolution instead of a fine fur pelt
Swiney and Swinub are similar names and both are Ground types. Both are also based on pigs to some extent. I’m just going off what you’ve put here, you’ve likely got a much clearer vision of it.
Yeah Swiney now that I think did look sorta similar excluding it wasn’t covered in fur and had legs visible
I’ll probably try to change the design a bit to not look too similar
The pigs sound simmilar to Bibarel and I like them a lot
The line sounds like it should be Steel/Ground from the beggining, but that’s your decision
Chillhilla sounds like it could Evolve into an Ice/Rock type, maybe its name could be a pun on Godzilla?…

Yeah, it’s from 4chan. Stuff from there usually doesn’t turn out to credible. I try to take stuff from there with a grain of salt if I can. Also, an update. The rumor was not from PokeSirena’s sources (she tweeted me back when I asked her). It was sent in from somebody else. So, now that I got that out of the way, I think I can call BS on this.

Happy New Year peeps! I’m bringing in the new year with a nasty chest cold right after kicking a normal cold….so great. I really hope this year is better than the last couple. Last year was great for games, but for other things not so much. Hope everyone enjoyed Nye and the rest of the year!
To prove that I’m not screwing around with the Switch in 2018, I just ordered Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Special Edition via Prime Now (meaning it’ll be here in a matter of hours). DOOM and Skyrim are also available via this service and I may buy those soon as well. I also have Pokken Tournament DX dropping next Monday after Amazon restocks. I’m looking forward to it!

How do y’all feel about the Plus and Minus rumors? If you dont know them yet, here’s a quick summary:
-South-East Asia island penninsula region
-Starters are Water/Steel squat, teardrop shaped humanoid, Fire/Fairy goat and Grass/Electric palm tree
-Mascots are Psychic/Ground Shi Foo Lion and a Ghost/Fairy appendage
-Theme is ”old tradition vs new exploration”
-Gyms return, including a Flying, Fire and steel one and one that specializes in baby Pokemon
-Villains are religious zealouts
I’m asking this because the gen 8 rumors going around share some similarities with Plus and Minus
I feel they’re fake asf because two of the starters aren’t animals, we just had a lion legend, and it’s pretty clear that it was meant to be taken as a Gen 7 leak rather than a Gen 8 one
I like some of the ideas tho

I heard about those rumors. They were from like 3 years ago leading up to the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon. They are very interesting. Seems that some of the ideas were transferred over to Sun and Moon or were scrapped (i.e.- Sky Battles not returning since Generation VI and the Mascots being reworked into Solgaleo and Lunala). And the idea of what console it would be on sounds similar to the Nintendo Switch. Even though 3 years ago the Switch wasn’t even revealed to the public yet, not even under the codename of the NX.
There’s also some other rumors saying that the Switch game is going to be a Kanto Remake or Reboot that are just as credible as this. I honestly do not know what to believe anymore. There’s so many rumors going around surrounding the Switch game. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
