Pokémon GO Travel Event + Pokémon Bank Update

Niantic has officially announced the Pokémon GO Travel event!

From now until to November 26th, trainers across the globe must work toward the goal of collectively catching 3 billion Pokémon in Pokémon GO! As the week progresses, and more ‘mons are caught, rewards will start to roll out: At 500 million Pokémon caught we’ll get 2x Experience, 6 hour Lure Modules and an increase of worldwide spawns. At 1.5 billion, we’ll get the previosuly mentioned bonuses plus 2x Stardust and even more increased spawns. And if we reach our goal of 3 billion we’ll get all the aforementioned rewards plus Farfetch’d will spawn worldwide for 48 hours (Kangaskhan will spawn in East Asia as compensation)!

In main game news, (much to our surprise) Pokémon Bank is already compatible with Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon! Requiring 516 block, version 1.4 of the application is now available for download via the eShop. Along this, compatibility for transfers from Pokémon Gold & Silver can now be made in Poké Transporter.

  1. I feel like my pokemon are getting over leveled. I just cleared Lana’s trial and my team is around level 20. Maybe it’s because of all the exploring and extra battling/catching pokemon I do?

    • I was at ~Lv. 25-but I only had 2 Pokémon. I would recommend if you feel you are getting overlevelled to stop battling some of your wild encounters.

      • I battle all the trainers on every route (for completion’s sake). And I’m filling up my pokedex along the way, so I capture all possible pokemon in a given route, which gives more exp

        • I see. Yea not much to do about that. I guess make sure not to use Pokémon Refresh and you should be good. As I had 2 Pokémon at level 25 on the second trial-I battle all of the trainers for completion sake as well-and now I am on the 4th trial and you could refer to the post below for my Pokemon’s Levels.

  2. 3 things! First to all Americans Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope ya’ll are having a great day.

    Second damn the anime is taking major strides in story progression is seems. Really makes you wonder if gen 8 is in fact next year. They’re kind of plowing through plot points and even tho they haven’t gone to Ula’Ula it seems like they’re jumping into some major things.

    Third I’m about to challenge Olivia. all my mons are lvl 30. I’ve got

  4. Update on my shiny Poipole hunt: I’m up to 1395 srs! Managing to keep myself busy by watching movies and stuff on Netlfix. I think with dedication I can put in about 1100 soft resets a day! Hoping it doesn’t go over the original odds of 1/8192 because I really want to finish this game soon with this little guy on my team!

    • I won’t be doing it without the shiny charm. GL with it, shouldn’t take as long as that, I’ve seen alot of people get it really quickly and know I’ll never have that luck.

  7. Do you get more than one of Blacephalon and Stakataka? If possible I’d like to get at least one normal of each, but also kind of want to shiny hunt for Stakataka. Not sure tho. Depends on how many they give. Like if it’s just 2 each then idk. I’ll need to trade something away to get Blacephalon, but would like to be able to not sacrifice too much just to get it. One of the reasons I really liked that they gave you essentially trading ammo by giving us multiple Kartana and Celesteela in sM. Not that we could get the UBs in shiny forms then, but it was nice to have enough rare mons to trade to get the things I needed.

      • Hmmm ok that’s what I was expecting, but just wanted to make sure. Part of me wants a normal form of each of the new UBs, but part of me also really wants to hunt for them in their shinies. Guess I’ll have to make the decision once I get there tho

  8. Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I’m always thankful for PokeJungle because of all of its amazing people and the fact that everyone gets along…for the most part. We need more of that these days. This morning i was able to order a PS4 controller and 4 games for $100, which is insane! That includes Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 and the Bioshock Collection for $35 total – absolutely insane. i hope you all have a chance to enjoy the day in whatever way you can!

    • Me i had to listen to my baby cousin scream her mouth off all through brunch and my mother is sick
      and i had to do a bunch of agonizing updates to my main computer (which stresses me out if they don’t go smoothly)

          • I respect that a lot, simplicity is always key. Since I’m a full-blown console guy it would be overkill to build a computer now, although it would be cool for VR (hopefully I’ll be doing that with my PS4 anyway). I’ve been using my first computer, a 2012 model Mac Mini, until today and now I’m just waiting for an updated model because I love mine so much.

  13. Ahh the one Holiday I dread the most… the one where its all about food and I will now literally have at least 12-30 people judging me because I’m very picky with food

    I enjoy everything except the meals of Holidays because its when I feel everyone looks upon me with hatred and disappointment

  15. So since some are doing thanksgiving Pokemon might as bring out a semi failed ones

    Eggbryo: Normal
    Chicklucken or just Clucken: Normal/Flying
    And Turking Normal/Flying

    A very underdeveloped chick Pokemon resembling a fetus or egg with the most pathetic stats of them all only having 50 for each stat

    A standard Pokemonesque Chicken nothing special

    Then finally a very obese and pompous turkey Pokemon that can only be evolved if trades with leftovers, it makes up for everything by having massive HP and subpar defense

  16. I want to evolve the Mystery Gift Rockruff into Dusk Lycanroc but I have no idea when I do it in USUM time. Right now it’s 4:26 pm for me but my game’s an hour ahead, 5:26. When is the right time to evolve it in Ultra Moon?

  20. R.IP, looks like you can’t use the Reverse World to get the Dusk Lycanroc. Why? Because the earliest you can access it is RIGHT after the evening ends, at least in the game.
