Pokémon GO Travel Event + Pokémon Bank Update

Niantic has officially announced the Pokémon GO Travel event!

From now until to November 26th, trainers across the globe must work toward the goal of collectively catching 3 billion Pokémon in Pokémon GO! As the week progresses, and more ‘mons are caught, rewards will start to roll out: At 500 million Pokémon caught we’ll get 2x Experience, 6 hour Lure Modules and an increase of worldwide spawns. At 1.5 billion, we’ll get the previosuly mentioned bonuses plus 2x Stardust and even more increased spawns. And if we reach our goal of 3 billion we’ll get all the aforementioned rewards plus Farfetch’d will spawn worldwide for 48 hours (Kangaskhan will spawn in East Asia as compensation)!

If the below infographic isn’t your style you can check out the fun video Niantic put together for the event, or read their official blog post.

In main game news, (much to our surprise) Pokémon Bank is already compatible with Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon! Requiring 516 block, version 1.4 of the application is now available for download via the eShop. Along this, compatibility for transfers from Pokémon Gold & Silver can now be made in Poké Transporter.

What will be the first Pokémon your transfer to your new Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon games? Excited to finally add Farfetch’d to your Pokédex in GO?

  1. I could use some suggestions for my Ultra Moon team. I’ve already decided to use Torterra & one of Kommo-o/Noivern but that leaves 4 spots open.

  2. Morning everyone! Did anyone else get multiple shinies (like more than 1 of the same shiny) from the Ultra Space travelling method? I found two shiny Swannas and two shiny Barbaracles with this.

  3. Morning Buttholes
Today is one of the finest days for gluttony, and I have a feeling that today’s overcompensating SJWs will have a field day with the true meaning of thanksgiving

But other than that I’m gonna be breeding a ton of stuff today since I spent all night in ultra space
    Defensive Golisopod Net Ball
a new Pangoro can’t decide Luxury or Ultra
    Special wall Throh Timer
    Cloyster Dive
    Several Kommo-os Heavy

    Anything else?

After that I need to buckle down and sniff out the last TMs and make a ton of cash,

  4. Roto Dex wouldn’t be as bad if you could increase its text speed. It’s also very frequent but it speaks sooo slow making it last forever

  5. There! Took me 45 minutes of hunting Roggenrolas but now I have 10 everstones, one for each of my nature dittos and a spare

All I need to do is send them and my team of synchro Abras and then I can breed pretty much any Pokemon

  6. Unpopular opinion but I just can’t seem to escape the soul rending sense of melancholy when I transfer Pokemon

I know we’re getting the same exact beloved Pokemon we all once used and loved but what of the world they came from, all the time we spent in there

My X copy has over 999:59 in game time and one simply doesn’t rack up that kind of milestone easily

  10. Reading through my old files, who remembers this terrible rush job?

    Old Bistre
A ruin, that ruined the life of many. Old Bistre was an attempt made by Sienna and Carbo to make a merchant city where the unified leader of Astra would rule, but the rest of Astra were not happy with this. Thus, a civil war broke out, and whilst Old Bistre was the bastion of the Sienna/Carbo allegiance, maintaining it cost the life of many men and ‘Mon. However, the Sienna Warlord at the time used the power of the Dread Crystal underneath the city to wipe out her opposition.

This killed many of her own men, and decimated the city’s structure. This awakened the Dread Guardian, who took to the skies and decimated the land, and is believed to of created the Pigment Pass itself by destroying a whole mountain before entering Sienna and destroying its verdant ecosystem single-handedly.

In order to stop the beast’s rage, the Sienna Warlord offered herself up to the God of Destruction. As her life energy was absorbed, the single tear she shed was believed to land on a withering sapling. It then grew and grew, cradling the Dread Crystal under its roots. This tree is so tall that the ever present storm clouds obscure it, and although it is now dead, it still towers as a reminder of the past. It’s believed the Dread Guardian is perched atop the tree, watching over all. The tree is where criminals are taken to be executed, believing that the released life energy will sate the God of Destruction above.

  11. Well, I was right. The Battle Agency is a much worse Factory.
#1. You can only choose 1 out of 3 pokemon
#2. What’s the point of the other trainers there? You make all the decisions anyway. Just useless.
#3. It uses Streetpass. Seriously? Streetpass we have festival plaza with all those trainers, but still streetpass
#4. Only 1 Pokemon levels up! That’s the stupidest thing! So all the opponents Pokemon level up, but only YOUR pokemon level up. Your partner’s pokemon stay 50. Just incredible.
I’m sorry for being so negative, but I knew this was going to worse than Factory and it is.

  13. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am about to have a Thanksgiving meal with Lana, Kiawe, and Mallow. Hopefully the preparation of the meal and the meal itself will be quite different from last year.

    Astolfo the Brionne Lv. 27
Drunk Ubear the Bewear Lv. 28
    Punk the Glaceon Lv. 28

      • Thanks. One of my friends actually recommended it while we were brainstorming. Punk the Glaceon was actually an in-game replacement so my team got changed a little bit. I’m going to add Salazzle (Totem), Flygon, and Mimikyu (Totem) to my in-game team and I don’t think that is going to change.
