October CoroCoro Leaking [UPD]

it’s that time of the month – Japanese comic magazine CoroCoro’s October issue has begun to leak online!

  • The Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon box art mascots are actually forms of Necrozma
  • When Necrozma absorbs Solgaleo it becomes ‘Necrozma Mane of Twilight’ and is able to use Sunsteel Strike, Solgaleo’s signature move
  • When Necrozma absorbs Lunala it becomes ‘Necrozma Wings of Dawn’ and is able to use Moongeist Beam, Lunala’s signature move

UPDATE: Another page of CoroCoro has leaked online revealing more info about Lycanroc’s Dusk Form!

  • Lycanroc’s special Z-Move is called Radial Edge Storm – It can be used by all of Lycanroc’s forms, deals massive Rock-type damage, and eliminates all field effects
  • Rockruff can only evolve into Dusk Form from 5:00pm to 5:59pm at Level 25
  • The special event Rockruff has the ability Own Tempo

  6. Still don’t understand the choise of making twilight and dawn a pair of Legends when Dusk and Dawn are both twilight moments.

    Anyway: find a funny name for USUM. Mine is Fifty shades of nothing.

      • Temping but I want Waterfall because it’s 100% and it can flinch
        I lost because my Razor Shell missed and Hitmontop revenged me and all I had to do was use X-Scissor on A. Raichu and hopefully land Rock Slide on Braviary and then done

        I’m so sick of misses just screwing up sure fire wins just like that

        • Razor Shell is 95% accuracy so I guess you got unlucky. Both Waterfall and Liquidation have 100%, I just feel Liquidation works better for its’ design but really it could have both.

            it says you slam into the opponent with a blast of water

            So does the pokemon do a Smash Greninja Hydro Pump styled attack or does it just blast a solid globe of water

            my only chance of learning this is Jame’s Mareanie if they ever do a James and Mareanie bond episode

          • I also am curious. I think they surround themselves with water then slam into the opponent, but with more power and less speed than Aqua Jet. But then I’m not sure what Waterfall is.

  10. Starting to think my Lucky star has finally run out of Light

    See every single time I have ever texted my “friend” she always answers me back, but today I asked her if she wanted to go on Google Hangouts and chat together and she hasn’t gotten back to me (messaged 3ish hours ago)

    My fear that I overstepped my bounds is kicking in again and now me need help to take my mind off it post something funny!

  12. So I am currently training my last Pokémon for the Pokémon league in my Sun Nuzlocke for the E4 at Exeggutor Island, and I feel like this is a good time as any to mention this. During my first visit at Exeggutor Island, the Chief said that there used to be a trial there. Also with the trailer that came out a while ago, we see several Exeggutor models on the island. Now this could be because the team is flexing there designing models by including overworld models, or that there is now a trial on Exeggutor Island.

    Now if I am correct the question is what is the type of the trial. It could be Dragon because I am assuming that you would have to fight those Exeggutors, but there is already one in the Vast Poni Canyon. Thus it would have to be Grass type. This means that Mallows trial does not exist on Akala’s island. Finally, if it is a trial and the Exeggutors are the ones you have to beat as part of the trial, who is the Totem Pokémon. Now I am thinking that it is either Dhelmise (even though it is not located there in SM it is close) or it is Serperior the Island Scan Pokémon there. Any thoughts or am I overthinking or too excited about it?

  18. Does anyone else find this really weird that though these forms are supposed to be called Necrozma, they’re mostly just Solgaleo and Lunala? Like I enjoy looking at the forms, though they really are Solgaleo and Lunala for me.

    • Oh yeah VAs are everywhere. One of my favorite voice actors I’m pretty sure even does Dave and Busters commercials hahaha They need a lot of work unfortunately because unlike live actors they don’t get paid very well……

    • I used Jellicent and Galvantula in White 2 and they were great. This is a pretty good team, even though Simisear still somewhat disappoints me.

      • I love Simisears design. It’s move pool definitely got better after BW. That said I’m not sure it’s still all that great. Either way I like it a lot haha

        • For me it’s kind of just eh, I think it’s mostly the pose. The Monkey Trio of gen 5, with the exception of Simipour, seemed to give up the initial ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’ motif they had prior to evolution which was one of my favourite things about them. Now in their 3d models they lose this entirely with the exception of the ‘pours. I don’t hate it though, I just think it could be much better. It is my least favourite monkey Pokemon.

  23. So I am about to take on the E4 and the mysterious champion of the Alola League-whoever that person is-in my Sun Nuzlocke. As a reminder since I have delayed this well over a month, all of the Pokémon I caught had names based off of Hunter x Hunter characters. Do without further ado, the final rollcall.

    I only had 5 Pokémon before the Pokémon league, and I was really looking forward to anything but Sneasal because I am not taking the time and effort to evolve him. Thus I named him after the Rookie Hunter from the anime.

    I did not think that I would enjoy using Shiinotic this much. Once it evolved and gained better moves I was surprised by how powerful it was in battle and its endurance. I would have never used it if it was not for the nuzlocke and is the main reason why I have enjoyed this nuzlocke and may do more in the future.

    I usually don’t want to use Pokémon that I would have to trade in my playthrough. I am thankful for Monkeyfuzz’s help, and I am excited to see how he fares in the league.

    I am very happy that I was able to catch a Wimpod that I could name Gon. The character arc of both characters had some “glancing” similarities, especially in terms of strength. I hope that I do not lose him in the league.

    Now I know it is a legendary, but these are the last 6 Pokémon that I have. I named Solgaleo after the strongest character in that series because it is the strongest Pokémon that I could have caught so far. I hope not to have to use him during the league.

  25. Random question I can use as an excuse to brag: what would you consider the greatest achievement of your gaming life?

    I thought of this because I was watching some FE vids it made me think about when I spent like 2 months beating Ch. 10 on lunatic mode on Conquest. This won’t mean anything unless you’ve played the game, but just trust me when I say it wasn’t fun (in fact, I lost motivation after being it, and never got past ch. 11).
