The anime was good….
Pretty much nothing. I think the game and region is largely trash. The only area I actually like is reflection cave and Shalour city.
Fair enough. Any positives to hype me up tho? I really liked Kalos, they needed another game to make full potential of it!
Well, the regional dex is really good, though I’m not overly fond of the new pokemon introduced (they’re okay).
Surfing on Lapras is really awesome, I’d try and have one on your team if I were you. Makes it feel more special (thought there are very few surfing areas in Kalos)
Diantha, though a horrible character, has an awesome champion room and theme.
I like the parts where you fight Team Flare at the power plant and pokeball factory (despite being the worst evil team ever)
The Lumiose center circle was very good for hatching eggs. I also like the region in general, though there is alot to improve. Some of my favourite areas include the Reflection Cave, the Glittering Cave and Laverre City. They also introduced horde encounters which I still miss. I think these games get more hate than they deserve.
Awww man I love Laverre City so mystical and mysterios. Mmm I love Kalos, storyline is fun adventure like and the games feel fresh.
I don’t accept the hate these games get but I do agree they needed a sequel.

XY holds a very special place in my clogged heart for the fact i went to NYC Nintendo’s Superstore and camped out there for a day and waited until midnight to get it there, and the 12th is my Birthday

Worst generation
The rivals are uninteresting and annoying and don’t do anything other than slow the game
The pacing is terrible especially in the beginning when you have this massive gap between the second and first badge
Team Flare had the chance of being an amazing team but is held back by being way too ridiculous considering they are about to destroy the entire world. But then again non of them seem to actually realize that they are trying to wipe out all of humanity. The disconnect between the grunts and Lysandre is insane
Lysandre himself could’ve been awesome. His Pokémon generations short is one of my favorites because he is shown as this kind of Steve Jobs type business man but he actually has other motives. But his design and dialogue makes it so obvious he’s the villain what’s the point of even trying to make him seem like the good guy for 2 seconds?
The champion has such a great design but does absolutely nothing in game. She’s doesn’t help you in anyways or even really have much of a personality or a story. Cynthia played an active role in the story, Blue was your rival you wanted to destroy in battle because he was just such a jerk, Steven was a cool character who also helped in the story. Alder had a nice story around him and an interesting personality since he didn’t really want to be the best, he just kinda was.
What can you tell me about Diantha? Such a waste of a fantastic character design
The dex has some amazing Pokémon but the actual Kalos natives vary greatly in quality. You have some amazing Pokémon. My personal favorites being Sylveon, Xerneas, Noivern, Meowstic, Clawitzer, Pumpkaboo and Slurpuff but then you have Barbaracle. The Kalos pokemon for sure aren’t fantastic but have some amazing ones sprinkles in so I can give it a pass.
Lumiose City is a fun killing maze that makes me wonder why Rotom dex wasn’t in this game because the only way to get around without getting lost is to spend money in the taxis.
LUMIOSE BADLANDS
Such a lack of areas to explore. Sinnoh and Alola excelled at this. You could miss quite a bit of stuff if you just follow the story, but in Kalos, you see everything in the story. Other than what? The Sea Spirits Den? The CAVE OF EMPTINESS????
they didn’t even try on that one. The Cave of Emptiness.
Mega Evolution the battling change since the Physical Special split and I hate that they seem to be not doing that anymore. X and Y certainly had better mega designs than ORAS in my opinion other than some amazing ones like Lopunny, Sceptile and Altaria.

The friend safari was great though. So was the PSS and Pokémon Amie and Horde Battles.
Overall X and Y had some fantastic improvements to battling and raising comp Pokémon but in every other aspect it’s either just ok or bad. Also like… it’s based on France? Why is it so bland, France is beautiful. Why is Lumiose so gray and dull?
But yeah it needed a 3rd version to fix it. They could be good but they need to change it up. Seems like they never will now. Kalos was robbed

Oh God No…there’s no reason to stick Giga Impact on a Golisopod
One despite its reputation as a powerful move its just a worthless waste of slot it’s just better to rely on the fundamentals of Golisopod’s play-style
And those are First Impression/Leech Life and Aqua Jet/Liquidation
But I really hope they fix Emergency Exix so that even if it drops below 50% health it can still preform its move instead of just ripping it out on the spot

Here is my opinion of how they could buff Emergency Exit. When it activates, instead of having to switch, you are given the option to switch or stay in battle (thereby not losing any of its buffs). Thus, it keeps its unique ability that is described as being due to tactical reasons and a developmental growth from Wimp Out, and it isn’t neutered by the ability.

Dude, they’re some of the greatest units in the game. Lyn breaks the meta over her knee and is extremely broken, and Roy’s (who I chose) special move (I guess, I’m talking about the puple one) allows him to move again if he initiates combat. Not to mention they already come as 5 Stars. So, I suggest you get them if you haven’t already before it’s too late. It’s just too good to pass up

IMO, they should have Zygarde play a role in a post game story, or even in the main story. Develop Team Flare more or just give us a new villain too.

I just think that compared to the past gens (excluding 1 & 2), where they put a lot of effort into features, plot, and characters, they put all of their effort into upgrading the graphics. Which is good, I like the 3D models, but it only held me for so long.
But if we got a Kalos sequel, I’d hope that there would be:
-Megas for the starters. Give Delphox a huge buff and new 3D model
-Actual Bicycle races in Cyllage city..
-Tower of Mastery is more explorable (seriously it’s huge on the outside)
-The story revolves around Zygarde and it protecting the region.
-No team flare at all
-More towns explorable in the post game
-Seasons to return, I hated how the region was split into different seasons..makes no sense.
-Something to actually happen in the spooky house/chamber of emptiness
-Other power facilities explorable
-Lumiose city demolished and replaced
-Pokemon don’t chase you in the badlands
-Wulfirc murdered and replaced

Hey guys, so I haven’t been by in a while because a) there hasn’t been much to talk about rececntly and b) I’ve just been plain busy with everyday life. I’m gonna try to pop by more often though, so there’s that. A few things about the last couple of weeks:
1. Hype for USUM is as alive as ever (as in, not at all)
2. I’m so excited for FE Warriors, I can’t wait to play as everyone’s favorite characters from all two games in the FE series (plus male lucina)
3. We need a direct pretty soon. We have some pretty big gaps about things that are due to release before the year’s end, so something to fill that in would be nice.
4. I’ve been played FE Echoes recently, and I’d highly reccomend it, despite mixed reception.
How have things been with you all? Anyting noteworthy I’ve missed?
