  1. @Starstorm

Same. But imagine how big the Cities will be on Switch graphics? Just thinking about it excites me.

I agree. But mostly they need to apply the Platinum content especially Distortion World.
Also I’d like an Arceus Delta like storyline, actually I’d love it, No I absolutely want it.

Aside from that I want Sinnoh to look better like how Hoenn was so beautiful.
Upgrades to Underground, Secret Bases etc

And last but not least new formes say for Arceus, maybe even other legendaries. New Heatran form?
    Mega evolutions etc

I’d like subtle changes to everything.
IMO the Sinnoh stiry was one of the best but I’d still like small subtle changed here and there.

I’d like an upgrade to the theme like how in ORAS they added primal/mega evolution theme to plot.
Maybe in Sinnoh they add something related to time, space or Arceus?

I think these games would be quite challenging, Sinnoh was always a challenge.
    Cynthia.

  2. Speaking of Jessie’s Mimikyu this might be an opportunity for them to actually try and use a Z-Move
Maybe by learning Dark Pulse or Feint Attack

But realizing that Mimikyu already has four moves
    Shadow Ball
    Shadow Claw
    Play Rough
    Wood Hammer

          So wait.
Something with 85/70/50 Defenses can be Defensive
It’s been BL since it came out.
It’s official. Staraptor is my favorite regional bird

          • Look I’m just saying it could physical defensive if you invest in it, really the intimate helps

But this guy was just purely annoying, I wished it was a physical staraptor because I could’ve sashed the BB and retaliated with Knock off or Rock Tomb into a Mach or Bullet Punch

            Normal Monos are just annoying
            Same with bugs
            And ghosts…
            And Flying…
            And Poison…

  5. SuMo legends in competitive

Magearna/Tapus- Broke the OU meta, basically caused the power shift

Most UBS outside Phero and celest- kinda just there

    Phero- eh in its tier

Celesteela- exists to be a wall

Solgaleo- Ubers Metagross, literally useless in Ubers

Lunala- Had its moment to shine than lost it

Marshadow- busted enough to make the mascots irrelevant

    Necrozma- YIKES

    Reply
  6. Greninja- Widely loved in casual and competitive, had a whole anime based on it, ash form looks kinda weird but you can tell it had some work.

Lycanroc- forgettable as FUCK, kinda cool, not impactful at all, literally rolled around in flavor blasted Goldfish, Trumpdog, Minimal design change, Dusk is just a name showing that GF is afraid to call it Ash-Lycanroc

  7. So this has been a long time comin…..
    So…

Gf, listen the fuck up. Us fans have been sitting around waiting for years and years waiting for you to figure out what the hell you want to do. Series are supposed to improve, ain’t they? I mean after BW2 everything went to shit. 3d! Revolutionary! All this shit was said to hype the hell out of X and Y and to this day they’re the blandest pieces of shit to ever come out of the Pokemon franchise. The starters? Only one was cared about. The rivals? Garbage. We wanted a less friendly rival for generations now just to have fucking Tierno thrown in our face. BECAUSE YA KNOW, POKEMON IS ABOUT FUCKING DANCING! It wasn’t even like May where she existed to advertise contests, Tierno was literally there for shits and giggles. And Trevor, what the fuck was his point? And oh boy oh boy you get the gym leaders themselves! Highlight of the journey clearly. Does anyone remember any of them outside of Cliff or whatever the fuck his name is due to the massive level jump? I mean the leaders were garbage, the region had its moment but was bland as absolute fuck, the meta became spam, megas literally buttfucked everything, the legends that were hyped up so much ended up being literal afterthoughts, the evil team was a galactic clone literally lead by French ginger Wolverine Hitler, and to be honest? All they added was 3D, the games barely added shit! What good actually came out of these shitty ass games? ORAS? I loved watching my nostalgic region get butchered and have every semblance of life ripped straight out of it

And this is just X and Y… I got much more to say about SuMo

    Reply
    • SuMo… these games were hyped beyond belief! When they came out, everyone loved them! Admittedly one of the best sets of new Pokemon in years, an actual good rival, a cool region, alola forms, cool new legends, sounds PERFECT right?
A month later, everyone hates them. These games are good solely because they had to compete with X and Y. Sure, SuMo was a direct improvement but they fucked so much else up! I mean we literally got Hoopa with actual defense and Metagross with flare blitz as our fucking mascot legends. The ‘Ultra Beasts” were supposed to be these super mysterious Pokemon but that was a total flop! Literally a week after the damn game came out the website spoiled the name for an Ultra Beast. Like not even the damned official website had the courtesy to respect the lore of them. The story had its good points but had so many spots in which it decided to throw logic out the fucking window. Like how Lusamine literally had the legendary flute case lols. Best of all, somehow the wi-fi connection system and the competitive game got worse! Why do you think people like Shadypenguinn don’t touch Pokemon much anymore!? The fucking meta is absolute garbage, the games have zero replayability due to the spiked stick known as tutorials that gets shoved up your ass every second in the game, the story could have been so much more, and the aftergame had so much potential but were literally wimped out on half way through.

And this isn’t even the final issue I have with Pokemon right now

      Reply
      • Recently I seriously debated putting the Pokemon related chapter of my life to a close and just stopping. That’s when fangames were released. Uranium, Sage, even rom hacks like Clover: each and every one felt more inspired than the current day Pokemon games. Two of the ones I mentioned were made by 4chan which has the reputation of being scum of the earth, honestly pretty much the dark web without being the dark web. And they still made a better Pokemon game than Pokemon has made in the past five years. How the fuck does this even happen? And with Pokemon Insurgence fully coming out in, at most, a few months, we’ll have yet another game to make main series Pokemon games feel puny in comparison. So why are the C&D orders happening? The games are honestly better for GF than GF is because they show that it is still possible to make an actual fucking Pokemon game. Is GF just scared because the fangames show exactly how much they suck at handling a franchise that they’ve literally been flaunting for 20 whole entire years? Probably
It’s time for GF to get off their collective asses and make an a damned game.
I mean…. even though they’ve succeeded our expectations countless times in the past, GF wouldn’t want us to set our expectations too high now, right?

        That’s my lil rant

        Reply
      • I would have to argue that the VGC meta improved a little bit compared to ORAS. Other than that I agree that the wifi meta’s are not in a good place at all. The VGC meta is now is a decent position. You see more variety than what you would during the ORAS vgc era. I was so tired of Primal Kyorge and Groundon that the Tapu’s and Ultra beast are rather refreshing. My current team for vgc is Liligant, Torkoal, Tapu Bulu (because Zrotiller is great), Porygon 2 (trick room counter), Salamence, and Gastrodon.

I certainly don’t disagree with you about the state of the past games being semi lackluster and that there being no decent rivals. I thought there were certain parts of X & Y and Sun and Moon that I enjoyed more than others.

  10. I get all the things people are saying, like yh maybe GF can do some things better but honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen so much negativity in the community.
It’s like how do you see a glass, half empty or half full? The latter represents an optimistic way of looking at things. The former seems to be most people nowadays just reacting like spoilt children at everything GF related.

Regarding USUM, lets not forget that GF have a habit of throwing curveballs.
I’m certain USUM slow news is a marketing strategy, normally they release good amounts of info, this time we’ll do opposite.
Regarding quality of games, I think they’re awesome. Less about quantity, more focused on the experience.

Either way I’m holding a “Half full glass” view and feel very positive about USUM, high hopes.
As for everyone else, to each their own.

    Reply
    • I’ve had a glass half full view forever tbh, hell I had a stage where I said USUM would be the best game

But right now tell me, what is there to look forward to in USUM?

      Reply
      • I feel you. Honestly though USUM have been in development for some time now. Its the same team that gave us BW2 and all these other good games. They must have a lot of new content.
I’m sure it’s a change of pace from GF.
Although I do agree they need to release some info ASAP.

        Reply
          • Maybe so but he has a team plus Masuda who will be over looking and developing the games.
I’m sure they’ll be trying to make best game possible 2 keep us busy till 8th gen which is still a long way away!

          • I seriously hope they don’t rush gen 8/switch games because of pressure from Nintendo.
If they don’t I expect them to ve announced late next year and released early/mid 2019.

        • It is a change of pace… but we’ve gotten crappy games for five years straight and were literally told not to have high expectations for what we thought would save the franchise

          Reply
          • I know. It’s a strange phase we’re going through. Not like Gen 4/5.
The games are still good, maybe post game content is less but the games are making progress

          • Yeah absolutely in certain aspects. Graphics, convenience of games e.g. EV training, auto repel use, eventual removal of HM’s.
            Pokemon designs are still v.good.

However I dislike them reducing difficulty, removing features like BF in ORAS etc and maybe not giving more post game content like HGSS

I feel like the series is changing direction from overloading features to gameplay experience.
But yh I agree somethings have gone slightly worse.

    • I totally agree with you

I was thinking about leaving for a little while because everyone is either on the fence with it or completely just spewing negative USUM comments if its about the games at least, but I see the glass as half full cause the less we know the more to discover when we get it and this is coming from the guy who plays only about 3 different games

  12. I’ve been thinking. I think one of my biggest wishes for gen 8 (Switch game) is that they release the games during a time that isn’t late fall/early winter. I’m getting a little tired of playing these games when it’s cold out. I’d like to be able to buy it during the late spring early summer. When international releases were different than the initial release we always got them during that time frame. It always felt nice to be able to play outside. Lol

  13. I got into Gen 4 pretty late. By the time I bought Diamond, Platinum was announced not too long after. As we got closer to release date, I was intent on getting Platinum. My friend at the time thought I was crazy because I had just bought Diamond and Platinum was just going to be the same game. Needless to say, I’m glad I bought Platinum because it was miles ahead of Diamond and Pearl. 3rd versions have always been for the die hards, and the sales show as much. USUM will be better games than SM, I’m confident in saying that much. Do I wish 3rd versions didn’t have to exist and the base games were great to begin with? Lol yeah. But USUM will be the definitive Gen 7 games people will remember. Just like Platinum is to DP, Emerald is to RS, and Crystal is to GS. The lack of info doesn’t mean it’s going to be a bad game.

    • The problem I have with it is that it has no reason to be event exclusive (at least to me). Granted, if it weren’t an event exclusive, you’d probably have to be very precise on what time you evolve Rockruff at to get the Dusk form, but I just feel like it’s unecessary and should be able to get through the normal game.

      Reply
  15. Alright if Mimikyu gets a new form I think will also change type so I think it would be Ghost/Poison or Ghost/Dark

Ghost/Poison to justify killing a scholar cause maybe it’s scared to reveal itself and that’s a defense mechanism of Mimikyu

  18. I’m gonna add my two cents today, since people seem to be debating giving up hope versus keeping it.
Personally, I’m not giving up hope just yet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not delusional enough (yet) to think that GF is doing a good job with this. I’ll admit, the odds don’t look fantastic. SM showed great promise before release, and they somewhat blew it (don’t get me wrong, they’re good games, but have many flaws). However, there’s nothing to make me believe so far that this won’t be a cash grab. And that’s where my problem lies. I firmly believe it’s still possible these could be huge hits and become the most beloved of the franchise. The issue is in the way the game is being presented. You don’t have to look far to see that GF has done a pretty darn good job of killing hype for the games, and they continue to make mistake after mistake. That being said, the game has three months until release, which is ample time to prove to fans that these games are worth it. Heck, they could even keep their mouths shut for three months and then the games could still be fantastic.

That’s how I see it, at least. While GF repeatly stomps down all signs of hype, hype doesn’t equate to the quality of the game. I’m scared, but I’m gonna hold on for three months.

  20. I hope there is a trainer with each Z crystal. I dont like going to those Z tower thingies. At least make them a side quest. They were normally just another path (IE left is the way to progress in the story, right is the path to Z crystal)

    Reply
    • Yeah they should really make the extra Z crystals more special. They don’t need to be in a specific side story or anything, but it’d be nice to get them through means that actually make sense rather then just finding them and basically stealing them lol

      Reply
    • Honestly that’s a very reasonable thing and it makes much sense. I’ve never really understood why people hate the eyes of so many of the newer mons. Each Pokemon is different anyway so it makes no sense for them all to have the same white angular eyes.

  21. I like getting comments on my videos on YouTube, but it sours it when someone compliments me and then follows up by asking me to do something for them. Like saying they subbed is great, but asking for a code card or to check out their channel in return kind of ruins the compliment……I appreciate support, but it shouldn’t come at a price. You either like what I’m putting out or you don’t. either is fine by me. Sorry didn’t mean to vent…just wanted to get something off my chest real quick hahaha

    Reply
      • Right. It’s a back handed comment and it really ruins things. After I told the person I didn’t have what they were looking for they commented back and asked for another code. after that I let him know that while I appreciate any support they can give I really don’t appreciate them asking the way they did.

I love using dragon type Pokemon. They’re a reason they are my second favorite type.
Mega Latios is fun for the amazing power in attack and special attack!
Mega Latias is just very bulky and powerful!
Mega Ampharaos is so pretty that I just adore it and Electric Dragon two of my favorite types together.
Mega Altaria is Fairy Dragon and is literally the definition of coverage. Can do what ever you need.
All this dragon hype brings my internal argument. Do I like Dragon type or Electric type more.

  26. Dusk Form Lycanroc shares some of the aspects of Midday Form, such as a four-legged stance and obedience toward its trusted Trainer. But it’s also like Midnight Form—at the moment it attacks, its eyes turn red! Around its neck are four rocks like those of Midday Form, while the mane on its head matches that of Midnight Form.

Little things don’t shake the tranquil demeanor of Dusk Form Lycanroc, but it has a well of intense fighting spirit hidden within, and as a result, it relishes combat at close quarters. It also tries to use Counter when battles get intense.

    A New Battle Formation

The moves that Dusk Form Lycanroc can learn also seem to reflect the characteristics of both Midday and Midnight Forms. Dusk Form Lycanroc learns both Accelerock and Counter—moves favored by Midday Form and Midnight Form Lycanroc, respectively.

Accelerock is a Rock-type physical move that always goes first. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, only Midday Form Lycanroc could learn this move. Midday Form could learn this move when it evolved from Rockruff. Counter is a Fighting-type move that inflicts double the damage received by an opponent’s physical attack. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Midnight Form Lycanroc learned this move when it evolved from Rockruff.

Dusk Form Lycanroc has the Ability Tough Claws, a different Ability than either Midday Form or Midnight Form. Tough Claws greatly increases the power of moves that make direct contact. A Dusk Form Lycanroc with this Ability would likely favor a different style of battle than Midday Form or Midnight Form.

    Get Dusk Form Lycanroc!

Only special Rockruff can evolve into a Dusk Form Lycanroc, and neither this Rockruff nor Dusk Form Lycanroc can be caught in normal gameplay. But you can get a special gift of this Rockruff as an early purchase bonus with Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. Players will be able to receive a special Rockruff that can evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc via Nintendo Network from Friday, November 17, 2017, until Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Evolve this special Rockruff and have an adventure in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon together with your Dusk Form Lycanroc!

You’ll be able to get this Rockruff only for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. Details on the ways to get this special Rockruff will be announced soon, so keep checking back for more information on it and on the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon games, launching November 17 for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family.
