Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You Trailer Released

Along with ticket pre-orders going live on Fathom Event’s website, the English trailer for Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You has just been posted on YouTube! The film is in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the animated series, and its plot draws from elements of the series’ birth. It also stars the legendary Pokémon Marshadow which will be made available for players to download to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon this October.

UPDATE: New details have been revealed about the distribution plans for Ash Cap Pikachu in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The I Choose You Cap Pikachu that corresponds to the hat design in the movie will be given out to those who see the film in theaters via QR Code. For the other Ash Cap Pikachu, a serial code will be posted on Pokemon.com on a weekly basis starting September 19th. However, you are only able to choose one of the six Pikachu – so choose wisely!

  • Original Cap: September 19th–25th
  • Hoenn Cap: September 26th–October 2nd
  • Sinnoh Cap: October 3rd–9th
  • Unova Cap: October 10th–16th
  • Kalos Cap: October 17th–23rd
  • Alola Cap: October 24th–30th

  1. I’d love to see this movie. I gotta find out if it’s coming near first tho. Last time I checked there weren’t any theaters, but maybe they added more

  2. There are 3 theaters near me (5-15 miles) screening it. I’ll go if I can find someone to go with and if they all aren’t destroyed by the hurricane.

  3. “PLEASE NOTE: You will only be able to use this code once! The date you choose to enter the code will determine which hat and move set your special Pikachu will have. This means you’re going to have to be very careful when deciding on which Pikachu you wish to add to your party. Study the schedule below, and get ready to choose your Pikachu!”

Why? Am I the only one that wants to collect them all?

As to the movie, I doubt it’ll be in any Cinema that I could possibly get to, so I hope it comes on TV here soon like the last movies did, and that the QR code is Universal so I can still get that Pika. I’m more looking forward to Marshadow but it’l still be nice to have.

  4. A twitter user by the name ”GekkougaLarry” lives in Japan, near a Pokémon Center and there was a meeting there recently where he was told big news is coming this month for both the anime and the games.

    Me: Ok

        • That’s not a truly easy one, but the answer probably is a definite impact on the local affected area in the short term, but only a moderate impact on the US economy as a whole. Rebuilding everything costs a lot of money, but it’s only a small percentage of the total cost that goes around in keeping the economy up. It will be at least five years plus before life would be as normal as before such disaster, but Miami can recover. There are worse places in the world that just get abandoned and nobody wants to bother rebuilding stuff.

  7. Kind of lame they won’t be giving out ALL the Pikachus for everyone, but oh well. The only one that matters is the Original hat Pikachu anyway hahaha

  8. Well I’m on a flight back home to escape Irma. I will try to make progress on my much delayed Sun Locke- due to summer homework and the actual school year. I hope everyone that is in its path on this site are safe and well prepared.

  9. The flight has ended. I defeated the Totem Kommo-o with Gon the Golisopod. And now I am about to advance to Ultra Space. Also if someone would be kind enough to help me with a trade evolution my Youpi the Machoke would very much appreciate to become a Youpi the Machamp.

  10. Just defeated Lusamine. Her Clefable was boosting like crazy, I could barely put a dent on it. I was lucky that it got burned, it used Metronome that became Role Play which led to a switch in ability from Magic Gaurd to Keen Eye and that allowed for burns to affect it, and than I got a curt with Fire Fang after it exhausted the PP of its Moonlight. Otherwise, she may have swept through my team and my nuzlocke would have ended there. If Metronome didn’t become Role Play, I would’ve lost hands down. Now it’s time to catch Nebby!

  11. Here’s some Advice for Hurricane Kyogre: (Which i will be in the path of, so it’s coming to haunt me for this…)
1- Do not Swallow the water! it’s full of poison and poison types!
2- Do not use Surf, the current will carry you to a DEAD END!
3- Eat lots of Persim berries so you don’t get confused and hurt yourself.
4- If Officer Jenny shows up, listen to her, unless you want your ear tugged and carried away like Brock…
5-Bike safely on the route out of this region, there’s a lot of bikes out there and trainers are getting nuzlocked onto the road, so be careful!
6-Use Charge before the storm hits, Electric types can help, but during the storm this can be dangerous, so do it BEFORE!
7-Keep a good supply of berries, potions, and fresh water, always!
8-Tune your pokegear to the news channel and make sure you keep updated with the weather effect of this crazy ability of Kyogre.
9-Do not go in the tall grass, no normal pokemon is stupid enough to be there during this weather, so don’t be stupid yourself!
10-Items can be replaced, but you and your pokemon CANNOT, Save your game responsibly!

  12. So what starter types would you prefer for gen 8?

    Personally, I want water/ghost, fire/ice, grass/steel.

Not sure what they’d look like, but one can dream!

    • I doubt Fire/Ice will ever happen for a starter, if at all.

It depends on what they are based on, we can only really slightly guess the Fire one.
      I feel a Fire/Fairy or Fire/Steel could be good. Maybe Water/Fighting or Water/Ghost and Grass/Dark or Grass/Electric.

  13. So a little update for my switch question last week! Sadly was unable to buy my switch today but I did manage to put the splatoon 2 bundle along with Zelda on layaway at one of my local Walmarts! Last one in stock too! I am so excited to finally get a hold of a switch! Hopefully by end of September I will be able to buy it off! This will be my first time buying a home console brand new so that’s something interesting! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/393c7f786af8664b97117febdd5d07a9257c792142f748e4a7f15e18d6532ba4.jpg
