Marshadow Distribution Coming to US/EU

Marshadow is finally getting an international distribution!

Officially announced by TPCi, Marshadow will be distributed in the US at GameStops across the country from October 9th to October 23rd! Europe will be getting the same event from October 1st to November 14th at “select retailers”. No word on other regions or countries just yet, but we’ll keep you posted!

This level 50 Marshadow comes with a Marshadium Z, and the moves Spectral Thief, Close Combat, Force Palm, and Shadow Ball.

Are you excited to add this Mythical Pokémon to your collection and finally complete your Pokédex?

      • It takes more time and effort, especially if you live far from a store that has it and you are unable to travel far. Some people have difficulty going out at all so it can be completely unobtainable for them.

          • Cool, I’m about an hour away from GAME where hopefully they distribute it here. If they do it at the toy stores like they did for Shiny Rayquaza and others then I would have to journey over a 100 miles which ain’t gonna happen.

          • Unfortunately no they don’t. And it was OK in the end as I phoned the store and they read me a code on the phone. They did not like doing it at all though and frankly neither did I. They had apparently been inundated with similar phone calls. Another time I e-mailed their customer service and they were not remotely courteous towards me there, though I did eventually get the code. Hopefully their ‘selected stores’ is not too limited.

        • Fair enough, it’s literally drive out of my neighborhood 2 minutes, hug the highway 3 minutes, cross a bridge 1-6 minutes if I hit a light and it’s a quarter of a mile to the plaza where GameStop and bestbuy is (along with homegoods where I buy doggy toys for my princess) so that’s barely a minute

          • Yeah like it’s fine if you can do it, and I now they do it for promotional reasons, it can just block alot of people out. I think when they did it for the HA bird trio they eventually realised how poorly it was received due to how limited the stores were where it was being distributed so they put them in the official Pokemon newsletter later. It may be possible that they eventually do this again or do a second chance wifi download later on.

      • 1) A lot of pokemon fans are young and can’t drive
        2) Potential for harassment by employees to buy something (especially if a code)
        3) Waste of gas
        4) Waste of time
        5) All of these location based events just stink of greed, and are only done so we spend money we don’t need to be spending at Gamestop.

I’m sure some people will say “Gamefreak don’t have to release pokemon for free, they could charge for DLC like other companies etc.” But it’s also stupid that they even MAKE event pokemon after all these fucking years. Why aren’t they all just in the game? Too lazy to make story for them? And either way, by putting them at a gamestop or elsewhere, they are making us pay for it unless you can just walk there and get it (same could be said for wifi events though). Now I luckily have a car and can pay for gas, but it is a bit ridiculous when you actually look at why they are STILL doing events like this. It’s not really a complaint, but I do wish the event pokemon at least unlocked in game stuff like *cough* GEN 4 MASTER RACE *cough*

        • The closest thing they’ve done to it in recent times is Magearna being picked up in the shop, not exactly spectacular. I’d prefer my idea of a choice of an event Pokemon capture area or you can choose to just pick it up. You get a Cherish Ball upon entering to auto-capture or you can use another ball from your bag. The Cherish Ball is taken away when you leave the area just like Safari, Dream and Sport Balls. It would also be nice if the area changes depending on the event ‘mon for certain bigger ones like these planned Mythical releases and story is given. Since the past few games have had portals of various types in perhaps that could be employed here, so you can go to an event exclusive story area, like a window to the past for Celebii or something.

I don’t know if this was already posted, but Gamexplain had their review up for Kingdom Battle and adding to the list of “reasons this game is just on the border of being rated T” you can see that Beep-o has censored curses. This game is fucking fantastic!

  3. If we get it in bloody Smyths again I will not be remotely pleased. At least there are alot more GAME stores around the country so that’d be OK.

  4. Do we know any good sets for it yet?
    I’m guessing:
    Jolly
    Spectral Thief
    Close Combat
    Shadow Sneak
    Ice Punch?
Probably Marshadium Z, Life Orb or maybe something else? idk.

    • They should be saving the planet and give it to us by Wifi. Or have a unique code thing for your IP address appear when you click on it on their website, can’t be that hard to do.

      • Event pokemon just aren’t special anymore. I get them…and then box them. There’s just nothing special to do with them in the games

        • Well I like to use them sometimes but as they aren’t allowed in most things battle-wise there isn’t that great a deal to do with them except have them.

          • I use them like once or twice to see their special move, but they usually don’t make it far past that :/

          • They should make a section of the Battle place for you to use them, kinda like the no-holds barred competition they just had but with every Legendary available.

    • Yeah at this point the only thing keeping me from owning all the Pokemon there currently are is Marshadow. It’s kind of nice to now own all previous gens so that way I don’t have to figure out how I’m gonna collect older gen mons AND get the new ones. Now I just have to worry about getting the new ones each gen

      • Wait that’s what that is? i too collect guidebooks
(i’m not proud of this) but when i was younger i always begged my parents to buy me the primaguide books for all the games i get….i still remeber the day i was denied to get Paper Mario’s Book (i have TTYD somewhere but it fell apart from rain damage (man i was bawling like a child that day)

        • I think so? I have one that has a cover exactly like that and it’s about the same size. The thing is HUGE, as in it’s thick as hell. I too love the guide books, but they split them into two editions these days, which is dumb. The platinum one has the dex and the guide for $20.
