The End of the Miiverse as We Know It

Nintendo has sadly announced that Miiverse, the Mii-centric social media platform for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be ending in November. Titles compatible with Miiverse will also lose access to the service.

On November 7th the following will come into effect, per Nintendo’s post:

  • You will no longer be able to access Miiverse from the Wii U console, Nintendo 3DS family of systems or from an internet browser on PCs or smart devices. All Miiverse services will become unavailable, such as viewing or making posts, and messaging with friends. However, for a limited time, you will be able to make a request to download all the posts you’ve made up to the day of the closure. 
  • For Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games that support in-game Miiverse functionality, these features and services will no longer be available. 
  • Miiverse posts will no longer appear in the Wara Wara Plaza on Wii U.

  9. You know, it’s a shame for the people who used the service responsibly because i saw some darn good pictures and concepts written there, oh well… Still, Nintendo realizes this failed and moved on, I am happy they figured it out.

  13. I dun had a thought (anime wise)
    After this week’s episode and next week’s with Brionne and Dhelmise and the Charjabug kart thing Ash goes back to Kanto for two episodes, maybe some major plot point will transpire during his absence because other than the occasionally challenge and slice’o’life bull he really has no driving force to catch and collect Pokemon or go out

    I just hope that we get
    -more captures for everyone
    -a driven plot
    -Rivals (Gladion and Hau because that turd is bound to wind up in the anime sooner or later and I feel he will have his own Pikachu)
    -Either more episodes focusing on Team Skull or the Aether Foundation

    • I mean he’s already done two Grand trials, yet only has 1 evolved Mon and the two starters base form. Cant remember it being this poor since Best Wishes maybe? And even then he had a bigger & better team after 2-3 gyms if i recall

      • At least in BW he caught plenty of stuff, I dunno it’s just been going downhill for a while now

        I just want some action REAL action, I can’t remember the last battle that got my blood pumping (That is reserved for Ash vs Sawyer in the semifinals Ash-Greninja Vs Mega Sceptile man that still invigorates me to this day)

        • Maybe they’re saving everything for Ula’ula and Poni but i would have expected at least 1 more capture before leaving Akala & one of Rowlet/Litten to evolve to at least their second stage

          • Litten is definitely going to be the focal point of the anime later on, it’s just the formula

            I just want to see Ash and the other catch SOMETHING that has a bit of a impact my hope it’s a Jangmo-o (I will admit that Kiawe’s Marowak was very good but not perfect)

          • Give me Incineroar and i wouldnt even care if Rowlet wont evolve man. And i hope he catches that Wimpod from the treasure isle episode

      • this season is SOOOOO much better than Best Wishes…..Don’t even compare the two! haha The thing about this season is just that it’s different from what we’ve seen before. IT’s not bad. Sure a traditional season in Alola would have been nice, but the episodes have been mostly solid and the characters aren’t crazy annoying. I’d say as a comedy style season it’s actually pretty good. It’s just not as serious as XY was.Which is fine. the pacing could be better, but honestly we really have no idea what they have planned. For all we know they’re rushing him through so he can do something great int he second half with having to rely on the trials as a plot point. We shall see tho

        • Oh i’m not complaining about the quality of the episodes, its absolutely better than BW. Just saying that it kinda annoys me his team is still so small and relatively weak while he already has cleared 2 GT’s

          • I’d be willing to bet that once some actual story goes down with Team Skull/AF it’ll pick up with his team. I wouldn’t be surprised if he catches an Alolan form Pokemon somewhere along the way. Maybe a new one from USUM

            I think Passimian has a huge chance to be with Ash cause it just has the Ash feeling to it if it makes sense kinda like Hawlucha, it just had a very Ash type of feel to it

    • it’s clear that they have no real direction for the sm anime and his return to Kanto is just a response to the 20th anniversary movie since it just seems way too out of nowhere. Also it’s only 2 episodes while every other old character return has had a mini arc with it.

      • They’ve actually been hinting towards Lusamine with the reason Lillie is afraid of Pokemon and Gladion refusing to come home Gladion is shown to be hiding Type;Null later on although I can see why it feels like it has no direction.

    Either a Poison/Steel Parasitic Barnacle that eats metal (and Steel Pokemon) or reopening ideas for my Ice/Steel a Moose which I cannot for the life of me think of a name

      • Why I left Miiverse and basically I became a member here

        (I got involved in getting a member of a certain Pokémon clan on Miiverse banned and they raged on me for it, so I left)

        And Oh I know no one here probably get this, but finally DOWN WITH DRAGMA!!!! Long live no more team of A hole’s bossing everyone around!!!

    • I really don’t thin they look bad. The art style in SM is different than the typical style, but I actually really like the new art. I think both Brock and Misty will look good in it. You really can’t get a lot of info from still images of them. especially when it’s just the stagnant art they show to show off what they generally look like.

  40. Guys I think I’m gonna give predictions for Sun and Moon character teams

    Kiawe- Best we can hope is a Salandit that could evolve

    Sophacles- gonna go with that he either has hit his Maximum team members or he’ll add Geodude which could become Graveler
    But more importantly calling it now that Charjabug will evolve on Ula’Ula (Maybe Totem Vikavolt will steal it for a power source, Chajabug will evolve to escape and fight it)

    Lana- Honestly thinking Popplio won’t evolve, just cause I don’t think it will. With new Pokémon, I believe Dewpider will be her next and possibly last Pokémon

    Mallow- Hmm tricky to say, but she may get a Fomantis, but otherwise I just see Steenee being it.

    Lillie- Her… I clearly believe she will grow more confident and she’ll catch at least two or 3 more Pokémon

    Jessie & James- I believe they will obtain at least one more each Idk what yet, but my belief is they will

So I was looking on the Pokemon Center website as I do when I feel weak in the pocket (never buy anything tho lol) and I noticed something awful……The one Stufful doll…….IT DOESN’T HAVE A TAG ON ITS BUTT!!!!!!! What the hell is this? There they go making a Pokemon that’s SUPPOSED TO BE A STUFFED ANIMAL and they don’t bother putting the tag on its butt like in game????     I had my first day of Web design and I coded a few lines of… Well coding

    Had double science because of my schedule

    And in like 40 mins. Getting to Animation, then home

    And revised my Pseudo’s design a little and made a new grass type (not giving details just yet)

    • Why would you want a remake of that Wii U version ask for New Smash to fix mistakes like
      -Better online quality
      -Cloud be permanently erased from it
      -New stages with New characters
      -take DLC out (was not worth imo, like a dollar or more to get a crummy or decent character or a stage? No thanks) (only stage I liked was Dreamland stage)
      – And just give us another great campaign like SSE instead of useless power ups with weird minigames

        – Very unlikely for that to happen even in Smash 5 Put Terra instead
        – That’s the only new thing Smash 5 would give
        – Switch post will probably have DLC characters included. And DLCs are a decent way to keep games updated and what if you didn’t like the characters or stages? A lot of people liked them sooo
        – Fair point tbh

        And I kinda doubt Sakurai is going to make another main entry Smash, he said that Melee is going to be the last game of the franchise and the he said the same for Brawl sooo

        • True and me? I could never not like characters

          Mostly cause my mains will never leave smash, unless Kirby, Yoshi and Pikachu are removed or Pac-man

          And campaign imo was the best thing I ever saw in Smash (probably a big reason 3ds and Wii U versions are lower on my list of favorites then Brawl, no plot or story in general) it gave more character to them than they already had, saw how certain characters would act around each other, gave us Sub-bosses that gave more life to the games, had plot twist’s and epic battles to fight, gave us a feel of a 3d scroll screen game (quite similar to Kirby) which really added to the effect and gave us something other than just fighting the same character over and over again

          So yeah we can see it was a big deal to me

      • ok first off, it’s a port not a remake. They can fix issues

        – Any switch game be it a port or Smash 5 would have that
        – He can be nerfed
        – Can be added in a deluxe version of Smash 4
        – ?? It was one of the best cases of DLC in modern gaming. The game has so much fucking content and you only have to buy what you want. it’s not like you can’t play against someone who is using lucas if you didn’t buy lucas
        – Now I actually do want this but Sakurai doesn’t want to do it

      • price of 300 for whole lot was already very low. so don’t be afraid to offer low for them individually, either. don’t be intimidated by me saying they’re worth $100. I’d probably accept half that even. or less for the ones that aren’t worth $100 to begin with. 🙂

  65. Just something I noticed: I have Moon and in my country is half past midnight…but in my game it’s night…? I checked my 3ds clock and it’s 11:30 pm (cause we have solar and legal time here and the 3ds dos not do it automatically). Shouldn’t it be daytime?
