European Safari Zone Events Postponed

The Pokémon GO Safari Zone Events that were scheduled to take place across Europe on August 5th (Copenhagen and Prague) and August 12th (Stockholm and Amsterdam) have officially been postponed.

No doubt in reaction to the recent Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, Niantic has decided to delay the events until an undecided, later date in the Fall. However, the September 16th Safari Event (Oberhausen, Paris, and Barcelona) and the Yokohama Pikachu Outbreak event on August 16th will continue as planned.

To compensate, Niantic will have Pokémon spawns that are rarely seen in Europe to appear in game in certain European cities for a brief time. You can read the announcement in full at their official Pokémon GO blog.

Do you think Niantic is making the right move to postpone, and regroup to “to guarantee the best possible gameplay experience for European Trainers?” Were you planning on going to one of the cancelled events?

  1. What if Acerola is actually the greatest Mimikyu disguise of all time. She has little lines at the top of her dress that could be Mimikyu eyes.

  2. i’m trying to do some research on how much bigger a Totem Bewear would be
in the Dub To Top a Totem, Totem Gumshoos is claimed to be three times larger than a Gumshoos. so it is normally 2’04” so times 3 is a solid 7ft
But in the game and anime it looks like twice the height plus half

so on average Bewear is on average 6’11” an inch shy of 7ft so if a totem Bewear is twice as tall with a little extra it would be a terrifying 13’8″ or if a little extra a solid 14ft tall
So take a already towering creature that contains already mindshattering strength that has a feared reputation of killing innocents out of accidents and make it bigger heavier and surrounded with a powering aura

    • After next week they will be moving onto what the exam arc of I remember correctly. I was worried that they wouldn’t have time to fit it in the second half of this season but the tease in the openings have vanished those worries.

  3. I hope in USUM they make a signature Z move for every type so far we have
    Faairy (Tapunium)
    Water (Primarina)
    Electric (Raichu)
    Ghost (Decidueye)
    Dark (Incini)
    Psychic (mew)
    Normal (eevee)
AND MAYBE they can make some that ARENT gen7 or GEN 1 Ppokemon. Seriously there are 5 Other generations of pokemon. Cmon Can they get SOMETHING.
What Pokemon do you want to see get a signature Z movr with a type not used? What move would it correlate? ow would it look?

    • I will go first with Poison
      Pokemon Garborda
      Z Move: Toxic WasteLand
The user engulfs the field in dagerous toxic fireld that immediately affects the target. Secondary affect Is it leaves a +1 Toxic Spike

    • I will go with Ground.
Pokemon: Donphan (or Alola Donphan because I don’t know what to expect from USUM)
      Z Move: Ground Zero (Earthquake)
      BP: 185
After obtaining Z-Power, the user, (Alola) Donphan, attacks the target with full force. This move will cause the target to flinch.
*I think Earthen would be proud of this Z-move.

          • i’m not expecting any new forms for existing regular pokemon

            i am expecting some kinda
-“Therian Tapu” forms where they take on a avatar of the animal they represent
and they change their fairy type to a new type
            Koko Electric/Flying
            Lele Psychic/Bug
            Bulu Grass/Fighting
            Fini Water/Ghost

          • We’re getting a new Pikachu form, even though it’s just caps. And also, explain the third form data for Lycan?

I wouldn’t mind Therian forms but knowing GF they’ll stay Fairy, just like the Forces of Nature.

          • what data are you talking about
and also my therian forms aren’t gonna stay fairy because they achieve a mortal form losing their spiritual side aka fairy

anything to get these things away from their fairiness
although if they do that Tapu Lele being a Butterfly means they could let it learn qiver dance and that scares me beyond all belief

          • Jesus fucking Christ how can you be so in the dark despite constantly obsessing over any drip of USUM news

            https://twitter.com/sciresm/status/799420279697117184?lang=en

And I’m not saying your Tapu fan mon have to be fairy lol, I’m just speculating based on what we’ve had so far in the franchise

If anything, being Therian would probably change their abilities and free up their primary type tbh.

          • (ok rude)
it was all the way from November i could’ve read it before and simply forgot
there’s a chance its a Ultra form or even a intended Totem Model

          • If it was a Totem Model it would’ve been two forms, they wouldn’t of just made one form a totem if they were already doing version exclusive Totems.

An ‘Ultra Form’ is still a new form

  5. Sorry for the absence yesterday, if anyone cared. I was just taking a break from using my Chromebook. I also went to see Spider-Man Homecoming with my friend yesterday. It’s amazing and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
