Pokémon Main Series Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

One of the more interesting tidbits to come from Nintendo’s E3 showing was this tidbit:

While many have speculated that the main Pokémon series would be making the jump from the Nintendo 3DS to the Switch, it has now been confirmed that we will be seeing games on the latter. It was later added that it could be “well over a year” until we see a title on Nintendo’s latest console however, hinting that it could be Gen VIII.

Are you HYPED to see a Switch Pokémon RPG?? I am! You may have seen on Twitter last night that I have one in my apartment now… although it is my roommate’s. Sewaddle salaries don’t cover such luxuries :'(

  1. So apprently, if you have a realm on your PC, you can transfer it to Xbox ONE and Nintendo Switch right away by using a Live Account. This actually sounds great, not gonna lie. Then again, I never played Minecraft or Skyrim, so I’m pumped to get to try them out on the Switch.

  2. I’m not sure if I’m gonna get ARMS yet and I wasn’t around to try it out during the demo periods, although I am a fan of fighting games in general. Worth the $60?

  3. So if PokéSwitch isn’t coming for more than a year and we’ve already went through both mythicals, what are we getting next year? :0

    • Personally I have three guesses in no particular order:
      1. Sinnoh remakes.
      2. Gen 8 games
      3. A Console RPG paced game. By this I simply mean something that’s more fitting to be played on a big tv then on the go. Things like having save points, dungeons that can last an hour+, a game aimed at lasting 40-60 hours. That sort of thing. Maybe treating it as a sort of experiment to see how much people would actually buy the game and enjoy it since really it seems people want pokemon on the switch for better graphics and not much else. It could just be a test to see if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is.

  4. I’m sitting here at 1:30am trying to order a pair of stupid yellow joy-con while GameStop won’t let me order another one (even though I cancelled my other order) and Best Buy won’t ship to my address for some reason. It’s like fate doesn’t want this to happen. I must beat the universe at its own game. Maybe I just need sleep.

  5. I definitely think that Niantic upped the difficulty on Pokemon go. I couldn’t even catch a 207 swinub after several great balls. With a razzberry. WTH.

        • You’ll try but you develop writers block and start abusing recreational drugs as a muse for inspiration, you go into a downward spiral of addiction. One a trip to your dealer Marondo, you are raided by the Feds and they spare you life in jail if you are placed in a government lab to test super soliders serums thus giving you powers, but you can’t control the powers and go on a rampage destroying half of the tri-state area

          • And it doesn’t end, during the chaos they had an alien they kept secret in the base which gets loose, the alien glorps into his body fusing him into a horrific hybrid, the abominable leaves the planet and makes its back to its Homeworld and begins draining their energy including their feared beast Galookarap’oa the Bender of Realities
With its great power the twisted mind desolated the fabric of time and space completely ruining it. Thousands upon thousands of years the monster you once were evolves into a Galactic God and rewrites reality and sends a fragment of its soul to replace the life you lost
You’ll suddenly wake up in your chair with the perfect idea which is just a crappy potato Pokemon nobody really liked
