  1. Hi guys. Cool Thing about GO. I ould prticipate if I played.
They are deveoping a main series on Switch, so I was wrong they wont stay on 3ds. But luckily it wont be for more than a year, so I have time. Honestly I think this means no Pokemon game next ear.

    • I’m thinking, if it is released in 2019, they might have another 3DS entry beforehand but that’s just my guess

    • Yup! It should be! I seriously cried when I saw it. It looks so good! Nintendo needs to stop making me play my 3DS so much!

  3. I SWEAR THEY NEED TO NERF RECOVERY MOVES
I was using my Fighting Mono in monotype and this stupid wannabe Ground Mono only one because he spammed Slack Off until Pangoro’s Drain Punch was drained
Attacks get stale the more you use them and do less damage but with recover moves it’s always the same amount and can be used in succession

  5. Well, as the E3 dust settles, Nintendo seriously killed it this year! Lots of first party titles coming to the Switch and 3DS. Anyways, the new core Pokemon game should have been a teaser in the spotlight similar to Metroid Prime 4. Pokemon Stars is basically Ultra Sun and Moon, so that’s the last 3DS Pokemon RPG from GameFreak. I’m glad their finally moving to the Switch. I feel like they’ll start fresh with Generation 8 or surprise everyone with D/P or FR/LG remakes. Honestly, GameFreak could do anything and I’ll be happy!

      • Hey Slaking, Masquerain, Luxray, Conkelder and Klink could all work actually

        Klink- an unevolved ancient gear
Masquerain- Could revert to a more aquatic life again
Slaking- Could be based on a stronger more active ancient animal
        Luxray- could have something done
Conkelder- could become one with its pillars

        Reply
          • They are supposed to be examples of speciation, or when the same animal populations evolve in different environments. That’s the gist of it, so you are right there.
Design-wise, it’s meant to be fresh air to mons who haven’t been used in awhile (at least for newer fans)

          • NO IT IS NOT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE CHANGES THAT HELP THEM LIVE IN A FOREIGN HABITAT NOT A FREE TYPE CHANGE

          • And part of that is lore, so if these were true, I’m sure they are explanations that show why they changed into those types in Alola.
Like the ones Kurusu gave you.

          • LORE NO, SCIENCE YES THEY DON’T EVEN DO THAT WELL WITH THE ONES THEY HAD, because this is something that needs to be heavily boilstered with real life science (and if you give me a electric rat or its a kids game i will stab you)
            Marowak
            Raichu
            Geodude
            Meowth to an extent
have really half assed and zero assed reasons for changing
Sandshrew and Vulpix get a half pass only because i don’t agree fully with the type changes and even less for Sandshrew for needing a stone for no god damn reason

the only ones that make complete sense is Muk and Exeggutor

          • Yes, all of them did have science and a good explanation to them Earthen.
Meowth is based on selective breeding, since the royals bred Meowth to be this pampered cat and to look the way it did.
Raichu’s was mean to be goofy obviously since it’s related to a mascot character, and even then reflects how everything in evolution isn’t exactly known. Certain species evolved a certain way for just no reason, or adopted a certain characteristic but it doesn’t need it anymore (like us with our wisdom teeth or tonsils or appendixes, we still have them despite now needing them)
Marowak reflect the Polynesian concept of mana, which is a spirtual thing so of course it’s going to be a ghost type. And they said it had problems with grass types (presumbly from the nearby forest) so it retrated to the VOLCANO and evolved to adapt to it and gained a fire type from it.
Geodude’s in Alola are made from a magneti rock so of course it’s going to gain an electric type if the rocks are different from Kanto or wherever from Alola.
The game/GF told you the reasons to why it changed and science does back these up as valid ways species can change in an environment (Except maybe geodude since in real life there are no living rock monsters but you get my point).
Just because you believe them to not be valid doesn'[t mean science does too.
A part of these type changes also reflect cultural aspects given to them (like I said Marowak) some from Polynesia which Hawaii is a part of, so of course those concepts would reflect the typings they get.
Most other Pokemon designs as well are also based on the relationship of culture and science and real life animals/concepts. And the same goes for its Alolan forms. They just don’t do these things just for no reason, GF does back up their designs with some basis to them.

          • I completely 100% disagree with Raichu since they clearly did it just to have it
The Marowak even less because they say it changed because a close bond with its friends
Geodude NOWHERE state it is magnetic at all in all little dex entries they make zero reason why it changed

the cultral stuff does not cut it for me and GF poorly poorly backs these ones up

          • Fine, I’ll bow down Raichu but not the other two.
I looked it up and Marowak clearly states what I said, not because of a bond. Both Bulbapedia and the official site state that grass type disadvantage and going to a volcano to solve that.
And Geodude is the same thing. The beard and all that black stuff is meannt to be attracted to it, like those magnetic face board things.
Culture and science go together Earthen. You cannot deny one with the other because both influence each other. I learned that in all of my science classes (but particularly in a Science and Society Class which is part philosophy part science). And they clearly put thought into every Pokemon they make.
            Here’s all my sources:
            http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon/alolan-geodude/
            http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon/alolan-marowak/
            https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Geodude_(Pokémon)
            https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Marowak_(Pokémon)
For the bulbapedia sections go to biology and origins (origins for Marowak)

          • The Marowak in the Alola region take bones and light both ends on fire by rubbing them against their foreheads. Then they spin the bones around! Marowak’s rarity and its fearsome appearance when it dances with its bone led the people of Alola to dub it a conjurer and regard it with fear.

There are many Grass-type Pokémon—Marowak’s natural enemies—in the Alola region. This makes Alola a harsh environment for Cubone and Marowak. As a result, they live in close union with their partners. It’s said that their great care for their partners allowed them to gain something like a sixth sense and resulted in their changed form.

The Alolan Marowak proves skilled at an attack in which it waves its bone and releases a ball of flame. The fireballs are not that powerful, but they tirelessly pursue the foe!

          • I just posted the bond part of Marowak
Geodude itself in no zero way explained why it changed, magnetic or not it doesn’t state it in any of its entries, no magnetic diet or anything
that’s why i said it makes no sense because they do not give a valid reason why it changed

And culture and science have nothing to do with something like this
solely what caused the pokemon to change and adapt in its environment

          • Are you delusional? You JUST said science has to do with it. Evolution IS science. lmao no wonder no one likes you

          • that was mistake i meant to say culture has nothing to do with something like this

In the end all that matters is how and why it changed and it makes 110% sense
no assumptions or drawing inspiration from cultures to influence its design
            purely environmental changes

          • But what if originally Klink was Rock/Psychic and evolved everywhere, but in Alola they had no need to so they never changed

(This is my logic for my regional Rhyhorn that they originally were one way and never had need to adapt in my region so they stayed)

      • We’re allowed to dream especially after Ishihara literally said we’ll have new, never before seen Pokemon in USUM

        Reply
        • I am the only one who sees that this will be form changes
unless it is 100% new pokemon which would mean altering and expanding the national dex and not simply a new form of preexisting pokemon then it isn’t technically new pokemon

    • I think it’s interesting to look at, but I think it could be false
As SM exclusively had Kanto mons, and GS is coming to VC, I think it will only include Johto Pokemon, plus there are a lot compared to the ones introduced in SM.
But we’ll see. Love that Sinnoh mons would get some attention if it is true.

  12. Joe Merrick shares my view that the Pokemon game for Switch (gen 8) will most likely release in 2019. Which could mean we’ll get gen 4 remakes for 3DS in 2018

    Reply
      • Also possible but gen 4 remakes have been a fan request for so long now. Could also be a fitting goodbye to the 3DS system as i expect the Switch to fully take over near the end of 2018.

      His name is Ilko Andres
He is a exceedingly strong Pokemon trainer who clawed his way to the very top with one clear defined goal to become the region’s champion
He made his way and ruthlessly beat the elite four and the champion nearly working his Pokemon to death
But when he was about to claim the title he was denied it, he was furious the champion said his actions were govern by raged and fueled with cruelty
This man could never hold the honor of champion with such deplorable actions
Outraged he vowed to bring the region to its knees to let everyone knew who was the strongest
He founded Team Quake and plans to resurrect an ancient and destructive Pokemon to be the instrument of his goals

  15. My guess in regards to the Pokémon series transitioning to the Switch:

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be the last main series titles on the 3DS.
GAME FREAK will then reveal the first two Gen VIII titles, potentially releasing near Christmas next year, or maybe even the Spring of 2019.
Gen IV remakes will come, but not until Gen VIII, bringing us a repeat of ORAS coming out in Gen VI, instead of Gen V like many were expecting.
