Nintendo is finally presenting their Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017 presentation, a 25-minute stream that will give an overview of their upcoming 2017 games (along with reveals and first looks!) Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are expected to make an appearance in the following Treehouse stream.

This is one of Nintendo’s best E3’s in ages. I really wish that they could have included a few more teases, but it just makes me more excited about their announcements in the future. Animal Crossing seems to be 100% guaranteed for next year, and we have all these games to play until 2018.

I still think the mobile app will release alongside a Switch game, so I feel maybe AC will be a suprise announcement in a fall direct for spring, who knows? Regardless, E3 had enough announcements to soften the fall.

I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m far more impressed with Nintendo’s showcase than that of Sony and Microsoft. So happy they’ve learned from their past mistakes and are just constantly delivering to the fans. Very excited for the future!

So a bit late to the party, but can I safely assume that people are generally in agreement that Nintendo won E3?
Around here, yeah. They need pretty well overall.
It has been amusing though to see some of the hate on Youtube. People upset with Xenoblades voice acting and people complaining about FE Warriors saying “MUH SWORDWEILDERS”. Personally a little salty about F. Corrin with that last one, but its reasonable to keep the game a bit more diverse.
But the whole reason XB was good is cringy accents
I loved them too. I don’t get people some times. And even then most of the cast seems to be Americans, so I don’t get it. But screw it. We have a Nappon that fights with a shield. I will be disappointed if their isn’t a goofy reference from KH in their somewhere like him shouting out Jackpot for an attack or something.

So we saw the first hint of Gen 7 in September 2015 with Zygarde Complete in Corocoro. If Gen 8 is next year, could we be only a few months away from our first hints of a new generation? O_o

I still believe Sinnoh remakes for 3DS, as a final goodbye to the system and gen 8 for Switch in late 2018.
In what way? As far as production schedules go they’re still very much on point. With each new system they always wait a couple of years to make a new game for it. It’s likely they’ll lead off with gen 8 and then the following year it’ll be a gen 4 remake.

They announced gen 4 way before it was necessary as well. I think this time it’s just special as it’s the first HD game they’ll be making for Pokemon. That said I’d say the announcement was bit redundant. I mean of course there’s going to be a Pokemon game for the Switch lol
Some thoughts on today so far. the new Metroid stuff is HOT. Really looking forward to playing the new 2d game and eventually maybe the new Prime. Mario Odyssey looks weird, but also pretty great. As for the new Pokemon “news” well…….I’ll at least say I’m surprised they’d even mention it this early. It prolly won’t be out until 2019 at earliest so why not just wait? I think it may have killed any possible glimmer of hope I may have had for USUM…..I wasn’t crazy about a rehash of the original SM story so soon after the initial release and the idea that it really is just filler and won’t add anything worth while is a scary one……I’ll still try and keep an open mind, but I’m not so sure I like the idea of them throwing a game at us just for the sake of throwing a game at us. If it was coming that soon I feel like they would have said so or at the very least would have used words that suggested it was coming sooner vs later. Saying that it could be out in a couple of years says something completely different then saying ti’s coming NExt year…..Idk what to believe at this point hahaha

Xenoblade 2 – Not too fond of the anime and big boobs style, but hey, it’s a sequel to one of my favorite games, it has to be great right.
Super Mario Odyssey – This is weird allover, like Mario ate some really bad shrooms. But I’m betting it will be very good and refreshing, must buy.
Splatoon 2 – Freshest games of the summer.
USUM – They are no Switch games, but I will never a mainline Pokémon game. Hope this will be as good as BW2.
BotW DLC – Already bought
Rocket League – Of course, great fun

Mario Rabbids – Looks very good, but not going to pre-order and will wait for reviews. You never know.

Dont get me wrong I like sexy video game characters but when it makes sense. Like Samus wearing the Zero Suit makes sense because its under the big suit. And she’s a badass so her character isnt only “LOOK SHES SEXY BOOBIES” ya know?

– If she is sexualized, does it make sense for the plot and world?

Yeah. Like its shown that the first titans are just standing somewhere in the ocean with nothing else in view, so its probably something like an ocean planet and people simply live on the titan’s. That said though I have no idea how most people live on ones that can actually move, since both titans were “dead” in XC1.

In all serious though I do actually like the Manado girls design, big boobs and all. Then again Camilla’s probably my favorite Fire Emblem character, so what do I know. The game does look good though.

That’s a reasonable response. It does seem off since it is sort of revealing, but it depends how they handle it. Its easier to accept a half naked character that is using sex appeal for a reason then one that does because the art director said so. In this case its probably going to be justified that shes more like a work of art then anything.
