Pokémon Main Series Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

One of the more interesting tidbits to come from Nintendo’s E3 showing was this tidbit:

While many have speculated that the main Pokémon series would be making the jump from the Nintendo 3DS to the Switch, it has now been confirmed that we will be seeing games on the latter. It was later added that it could be “well over a year” until we see a title on Nintendo’s latest console however, hinting that it could be Gen VIII.

Are you HYPED to see a Switch Pokémon RPG?? I am! You may have seen on Twitter last night that I have one in my apartment now… although it is my roommate’s. Sewaddle salaries don’t cover such luxuries :'(

    • Such a disgusting hipster starter team, anyway these Pokemon are all over the fucking place

Charizard X does NOT need Flamethrower and Blast Burn, you never have the same type of damaging moves unless it offers priority
Adamant or Jolly with Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw/Outrage, Earthquake Roost/Dragon Dance

Greninja are pretty much always Timd or Modest, Water Shuriken only if the ability is Battle Bond otherwise Scald, Dark Pulse, Extrasensory, Ice Beam

And Decidueye should be Jolly and with Leaf Blade, Spirit Shackle, U-Turn, Sucker Punch/low Sweep

  4. Also forgot, heads up for anyone who wants a Switch, Target and GameStop (as of now) put up for order some bundles ranging from $400-$550 USD. IDK when they will be sold out, but as of typing this there are still plenty it seems. I caved and pounced on a Starter Pack from Target for $500 as it has all I need plus a case, and I’ll be set for Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 when they are out. In all, take a look, it seems they will all ship by the end of next week too so be sharp! Cheers!

  5. ARMS has shipped! I’m so hyped, I can’t even tell you. This game is just everything I never knew I wanted from Nintendo.

  6. So I just heard that Rocket league, and Minecraft will support cross-play between PC, Xbox ONE, and Nintendo Switch, but not PlayStation, and its because SONY is worried over safety for children (aka “younger audiences” in SONY’s terms). I’m sorry, but as a SONY and Nintendo guy, I call bs. If Nintendo thinks this is OK, its safe for kids. There is definitely another reason SONY is hiding.

  7. So I’ll be honest with you guys…I’m fully considering getting a PSVR in the next 12 months (hopefully) specifically for the purpose of playing Skyrim VR (along with other games, of course)…but I feel like I’m going to regret it again when they release a PSVR revision or something. I can’t make up my mind!

    • As much as I love this, and I do love this, I have only one fear with this coming soon. The flame wars that could break out between the Whoovians and this shows fans over David Tennent’s performance as Scrooge. I mean he’s going from being a cool nerd, to a Scottish duck that’s probably going to act campy and more comedic. Something in my gut’s just telling me that the comment section could become a pretty ugly place. Uglier then it usually is I mean.

    • And yet their have been plenty of love for metroid to keep people remembering it with that Wii U techdemo that had the Metroid minigame, Ridley finally making it to smash, Federation force hinting at Metroid Prime 4. I mean you can’t be super salty, right?

        • I didn’t say it did. I simply mean that having Nintendo give anything that doesn’t require the most minimal effort is better then nothing. It shows that they want to do more with the series, but just need time to think of new ideas for it. Metroid’s not stuck in the constant limbo like F-zero where nobody wants to make games for it simply because its reached a creative dead end where nothing new can be done for the series other then make the same game with shiny graphics, which Indies love to do anyways.
