  1. Two things about BotW, possible spoilers
    1. In the GameXplain preview they mentioned an enemy that would sense you from far away and hunt you down. Yet I haven’t found any such enemy, were they wrong or am I missing something?
    2. I still haven’t found the skeletal beast from the first trailer, where is it?

        • I think that particular one is on the road east of the Highland Stable (the one near Lake tower). Follow the pah that keeps going east across a river, into an area south of Faron Grasslands. It should be near the bend before the river. Otherwise there’s a bunch of them around. They’re called Stalnox. One of them is in Hyrule Castle for sure.

  2. Guys, I just imagined something… what if Silvally represents Jesus? Christians say Jesus was sent by God to save people from sins, he died for our sins etc. Silvally was created (probably with Arceus’ DNA) by Aether Foundation to Kill Ultra Beasts and there’s a theory that every UB represents a sin! That would be really deep, because it could represent that Christianity is was created by insane people, Lusamine would represent Mary that knew she was pregnant because an Angel told her so and Lusamine got crazy because she got poisoned by Nihilego… F***k my first theory that makes sense… I’m sending this to MatPat (I know that’s dumb but I’m dumb too)

    • Considering how insulting it is to one of the world’s majority religions I’d say that’s a no

      Reply
      • It would insult them in a secret subtle way and some Christians think Pokemon is Satanic so it would just be GF battling back

        Reply
          • Why stupid? If It’s true then the only person who figured it out is a lonely teen, it wouldn’t be very risky. And it could be a way for the creators to show their opinions on this religion. They’ve created pokemon that represent GOD and SATAN and that would be much more subtle than that.

          • Because publicly insulting a large religion is bad for PR

And if it literally was only discovered by *one* person its likely more you’re over thinking something that isn’t there

        • yess it’s the best idea ever just make fun of the people who thought you where the devil or satanic (you know whats funny i saw a youtube video where a black woman thought yokai watch was satanic)

          Reply
    • I know Arceus is supposed to be a God figure and all, but I don’t think Pokemon game would get that religious.

      Reply
        • Tbf tho it’s a vague creator diety analogue, not as obvious as ‘this is definitely the Christian God look at this man on a cloud’

Although G-O-D God is obviously the biggest influence imo

          Reply
        • That’s not the point I’m contesting. I don’t think Pokemon would get so religious as to have a Pokemon representing Jesus. As @a@symmetricaljesus:disqus also pointed out, it marginalizes other religions that don’t believe in Jesus as a religious figure (Messiah, Prophet, whatever).

          • Outspeed it

            Status it

            Something immune to flinching

Something that doesn’t care if it flinches

            Suckered punch

          • If you ain’t willing to run a counter, than don’t complain when it brutalizes you

          • Well what would I possibly Scarf
All my Ground types need their items and wouldn’t be compatible p

Only Excadrill and maybe Garchomp but I like the mega for bulk

          • That still doesn’t mean the finch won’t stop you cold
Only things like Scarfed Darmanitan and Sand Rushing Excadrill are effective counters
And if you don’t have that it’s basically a rigged game of chance that u can actually do stuff

          • Not much I mean you cannot deny it has the bulk and the hax to outdo any opponent

          • I’m being serious, it’s honestly not that hard for me
            Plus, scarfers

          • It’s not broken dude, that’s Tapu Lele
Trust me, it’s not a very hard mon to kill, if you outspeed it, it dies
Lets be honest, flinching is the only reason it is good

          • And if you can’t out speed it or it itself your fucked
60 percent to paralyze you and your fucking done
Because then you have to play the rigged hax to not flinch or paralyse

          • That is not the case for everyone, and outspeeding it doesn’t translate into hard counter,
all it takes is it to hit you once with Body Slam or Iron Head/Zen Headbutt for it to walk all over you

          • What’s a Heatran again?
            In fact

            Checks and Counters

Heatran: Heatran walls most Jirachi sets and can force it out with a powerful Fire-type STAB attack. In addition to this, Heatran can set up Stealth Rock, while the only thing Jirachi can do back is paralyze it or hit it with the rare Hidden Power Ground. Heatran does need to be healthy to handle Z-Happy Hour sets, however.

Dark-types: Weavile, Bisharp, Hoopa-U, Tyranitar, and Mega Gyarados can all force Jirachi out with their powerful Dark-type STAB moves or even, in the former two’s case, Pursuit trap it.

Water-types: The threat of a Scald burn makes Jirachi hesistant to stay in. Keldeo, Toxapex, Slowbro, and Rotom-W all threaten Jirachi this way and resist Iron Head.

Ground-types: Landorus-T, Garchomp, Hippowdon, Excadrill, Zygarde, and Mamoswine can easily KO Jirachi with their powerful Ground moves, although some of them must be careful about being stalled out by SubToxic.

Fire-types: Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Alolan Marowak, and Volcanion can switch into and destroy Jirachi with their Fire-type STAB attacks. The first two must be wary of Body Slam though.

Rocky Helmet, Iron Barbs, and Rough Skin: These items or abilities severely cut into Jirachi’s longevity unless it is running the Wish set. As a result, Jirachi will become a less effective check to Pokemon such as Tapu Lele and Nihilego.

          • All good but half the time I don’t run those, but they also forgot the possibility of Zen Headbutt ruining The waters

          • They didn’t forget that possibility, if Rachi is burned it isn’t doing jack for damage
And most bulky waters eat its hits up anyways

          • Flinching doesn’t mean shit if you’re recovering all the damage off every turn with leftovers. They run out of PP, and you eventually kill em

          • So your saying Zen Headbutt will do less then 1/16th of damage to all water types?

          • and that fair amount still can be paraflinched which is why this Pokemon is so freaking broken

          • Earthen listen to me you moron
IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU CAN JUST HEAL OFF THE DAMAGE IT DOES TO YOU IN A SINGLE TURN
YOU CAN JUST STALL IT OUT

          • So that will heal all damage huh, every little bit? Like a Toxapex getting hit with Zen Headbutt
            Or a Keldeo?

          • What dumbass is using a Toxapex and Keldeo against a fucking Jirachi?
How bout shit like Suiciune or empoleon

  6. The Battle Frontier is back … in my region at least

(I suspect the Circus and Labyrinth will be rage inducing)

    The Battle Pike
Inspired by the Hoenn Region’s very own Battle Pike, the Battle Pike makes a stunning revival here in the Incrum Region! Go through a series of twists and turns all which test your luck and your ability to adapt when the cards are not in your favor.

    The Battle Tower
Similar to all other Battle Frontiers, the Incrum Region Battle Frontier is a facility where trainers partake in standard battles in their quest to reach the top of the tower and battle the Frontier Brain. Unlike other Battle Towers, this one seems to have a fair bit of nature involved.

    The Battle Factory
Another ubiquitous staple of the Battle Frontier and a favorite for newcomers, trainers of all skill levels get a team of three rental Pokemon and battle it out in the hope of taking down the frontier Brain. After a Battle you may switch Pokemon with your opponent and keep on battling. Be warned, later levels of the facility are known for being especially challenging.

    The Battle Trench
This underwater Battle Facility is known for being rather strange, even when compared to the other facilities. Your goal is to reach the bottom of the Trench to face the Frontier Brain while fighting off trainers and wild Pokemon, but you also can get various rewards while doing so, ranging from items, accessibility to ride Pokemon, and even Pokeballs to catch a temporary member for your team in this challenge! The battles get pretty tense, so be prepared to handle the pressure.

    The Battle Labyrinth
Welcome to perhaps the most demanding challenge of them all, the Battle Labyrinth. Explore the facility and defeat trainers to earn the pieces you need to fill out a map in order to locate your way to the next area. Once you do this three times, you will fight the Frontier Brain of the Labyrinth! But be warned, get lost and terrible things will happen…

    The Battle Shuttle
This space themed facilities loops around the stars (sort of) in an intergalactic tour of a lifetime! Sponsored by a rich Undella town man with more money than he knew what to do with, the shuttle flies about at high speeds holding twenty two people (Including yourself) on the ship! You must beat all of them before fighting the frontier brain who rides this shuttle. Rumor has it that Celestial types and airborne Pokemon have an interesting time here… Are you prepared for liftoff?

    The Battle Circus
Possibly the largest of all the facilities, trainers enter with the goal of beating the Frontier Brain Ringmaster at the end of the Circus show. Before doing this, one must take down the seven specialists of the circus themselves, but to even get to them one must win against some of the audience members who are willing to battle you. The battles have their own unique traits that you can utilize or be hindered by. You never know what will happen in the Battle Circus!

    ???
Rumors tell of a secret eight facility that nobody has ever seen before. When a trainer collects seven Frontier Samples they vanish for some reason. Maybe this has something to do with the eight facility?

    -Must be Fire type

          • And cute pangolin didn’t have to be made into disgusting Groundies

          • Mostly the fennec
Point is Pangolins and Armadillos thrive in Sandy dry places like ground types

          • Red foxes burrow, like dude literally all foxes do

Fennec foxes are arid dwellers but fennekin ends up fire

Forest dwelling animals don’t always end up grass

          • And for all you know that red panda works as a fairy

            Toodle oo

          • How, it’s a stupid rodent, you only make it a fairy because of looks, I mean even the other garbage fairies have ties one way or another

          • Same way you make a rat shoot electricity you silly boy

            Welcome to Pocket Monsters 101

          • That is literally your only comeback you have, and everyone knows Pikachu was centered around electricity before it was created

          • Politely tell me how a Camel with literal volcanoes growing out of its back works

          • Earthen Logic: Everything is illogical unless it either is scientific or I want it to be logical

          • Well logic is the foundation of a good idea
And if he keeps bringing up Pokemon has no logic I will always prove him wrong by rationally writing up the basis of the pokemon

          • A) Because of that one anime episode.
            B) Because they were running out of things to fairify

          • (Also the cheap shots because he can’t think of anything better)
            Because they did not care
And they were giving everything fairy type at the time

          • Wowie, actual arguments are cheap shots? Does Earthy need a bandage for his ego’s booboo?

I thought you said all pokemon had logic? Or do you mean they only have logic when it’s convenient to you? If Dedenne can be a fairy and the creators of the series are okay with it, a red panda fanmon could be a fairy

          • I love how you always use my ego as a leverage whenever we argue
You can’t deny they were going fairy overboard during gen 6 which one could easily agree where Dedenne’s fairy type came in,

          • Because your ego could legit be classified as the ninth planet tbh

If that’s the logic behind Dedenne, then making a logical fairy red panda is laughably easy

          • Red Panda place holder name. Fire/Fairy

This pokemon ventures out of the dense bamboo forests of the ____ region to hunt for sugar in local villages. It uses its flaming tail to melt the sugar into a sweet liquid it often feeds to its young. This pokemon has also been known to share its sugary treats with wild injured pokemon.

          • Now this actually sounds right, kinda swirlixy but at least it’s going somewhere

          • See, and I only spent about 30 seconds visualizing it. I would like to add more myth into it being a mysterious force that is hard to find and stuff, but that can wait

          • Why should I? I don’t need to prove myself to you at all Earthen. It’s 11pm, I’ve got a successful life, literally the only reason I haven’t just given up on this argument is because it legit entertains me to see you wrap your head into knots, and GameFreak has already shown they downright don’t give a fuck about making fun creatures for their KIDS GAME

          • Because the only way to truly prove me wrong is to go out and do it

Otherwise your just being a smart Alec brat who can own up to his own trash talk when presented said challenge

You just keep hiding behind my ego, a kids game and your own inflated desire to make me look bad

So either you put up or shut up, and I put up my dukes

          • Than why are you challenging them in an argument they obviously slaughtered you in?

          • If I shot you with a gun in the same place three times it’d still work the exact same, just because I’m reusing correct points doesn’t make them invalid

          • That’s why he slaughters you every time
It’s like watching a pig run into a sawblade, it’s messy, idiotic, and incredibly stupid

          • He gives reasons though
Not his fault your logic has more holes in it than a piece of swiss cheese

          • how am i ignoring logical points
He does nothing more but shove the more illogical stuff in my face like Raichu or Pikachu (which everyone knows the story) and hides behind his same little defends of gamefreak’s rule or just saying stuff about me,

at least i bring up facts and reason while y’all just rail me with obvious shots as a vain attempt to sound better

          • So we’re just going to ignore that debate about lava animals earlier?

          • yes we are because that has nothing to do with this and you know it
            i proved my case

          • Ehhh, wrong. I give reasons, you just throw a bitchfit and sweep em under the carpet because you know I’m right. Also, you agreed to Ultron’s depiction of a Fire/Fairy red panda above sooooo yeah better luck next time pal

          • 1) I was arguing with Ultron, it’s a group victory
            2) I didn’t need to provide reasons for a fairy panda, I was arguing that your logic is as bullshit as ever and Ultron just proved it

          • Yeah I’ve had more cohesive arguments with my three year old cousin

You’ve already lost bud, just accept it

          • Prove I’ve lost when I have people agreeing with me and GameFreak has shown it can add types at a whim

          • well for starters i showed how and why Numel is associated with volcanoes and lava
It’s painfully obvious you couldn’t think of a reason for the typing
and you can’t win an argument without saying stuff about my ego, or it being about a kids game

          • Yes, you do have a huge ego

Fairy is still a wild card type. It encompasses many things that cannot be equated to the likes of the other simple elemental types like fire, water, and ground.

          • Sometimes I like to think that they made Dedenne fairy because gen 6 introduced fairy type.

Just like Plusle and Minun were two Pokemon because they introduced double battles in gen 3.

          • Again, logic doesn’t mean shit if you can just leave the important stuff out

          • Because in the end it is mostly based around pit traps and sand
            Sand equals ground

Trapinch makes pit traps in the desert
Vibrava is a moot point but also antlion nymphs are less aggressive compared to it younger form
And Flygon is all about creating sandstorms with its wings

          • Well it is based on the myth that Camels store water in their humps for traveling hot scorching deserts

So they changed the water with fire and kept the ground for desert

          • Well Numel in the anime need the lava to be active
When they were captured, Team Rocket sedated them by activating a sprinkler causing the lava to cool and them to be lathargic

And most fire types have internal fire sources as a source of energy

          • Explain how that works in real life animals if you are so obssesed with logic

          • Well well now you’re just trying to make me slip up just to jump down my throat

Well take into fact energy and the species
The reason Camels last that long in the sun is because of all that stored fat, they basically work with stored fat and water for energy
So in Pokemon land this Pokemon uses a different type of energy source in this case lava in its hump

          • All mammals work off of stored fat and water its not special to camels

          • Explain how the Lava works in real life animals without burning them alive, i’m just trying to point out a clear flaw in your arguement

          • No your giving me an impossible task just so you sound smarter and better
Lava would burn a real creature, but this creature has lava inside it and is lava proof

          • See? That’s all the info needed
You talk about how logic is needed in everything yet this is a scenario where it is LOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE
Yet you still deny it to your liking
            Congrats, you are a hypocrite
            Enjoy the reward
Have a gold star for a job well done
Or better yet? Find a way to do more with your life than argue why Surfing electric mice make more sense than volcano camels

          • There aren’t any on Earth, but that doesn’t make it strictly impossible, just undocumented.

          • Well you cannot deny the idea
a creature who transverses the desert equipped with two humps allegedly filled with water

add a little pokemon creativity, now it is a camel with fiery lava inside its hump and uses it for energy

          • So if we can pull shit like that just for a fire camel how hard is it to make a fairy red panda?

          • Not my panda asshole

Also literally if they make a ground house just by putting mud on it they can make a fairy red panda

          • I think the point is:

They made a camel into a volcano because they wanted to.
I made a red panda a fairy type because I wanted to.

          • Actually when Bewear was first revealed I thought it would maybe evolve into a fairy. No one agreed with me though

          • Then why can’t this panda be centred around Fairy before it exists?

Also its because it’s how the game works you sad little man

          • Yeahhhh. Sandslash isn’t even that good of a representation of a pangolin. Where’s the long tail?

          • Fire/Grass could work too. Fairy just works because they’re mysterious, adorable, and love sugar (being the only non-primate that can taste artificial sweeteners)

          • So a starter trio where one type shares another type with the trio? That’s crap

  8. I remember a long long time ago someone asked ‘if you lived in the Pokemon world what job would you do’ but can’t even begin to think what thread that would have been on.

Pokedex Entry: Until recently this Pokemon’s existence was entirely the stuff of myth. Rumors say it was born from the spirit of a Cacnea that had re-entered its body after it had died and its body had sank far into the sands, becoming one with the desert. It is said that if you come across one in the desert and stare it in the eyes, you will never find your way out and will one day become one with the sands.

Pokedex Entry: This Pokemon is followed by sandstorms wherever it travels, claiming all the land it travels for itself. If something is to stumble into its land, either on accident or to challenge it, Cacturne will relentless assault the invader with sand. Those who are buried beneath the sand will lose their soul once the weight of the sand crushes them. Most interesting is the weird ectoplasm-like substance that covers it, letting it take certain attacks directly without suffering any harm.

I mean, it’s weak to quite a lot…. So I don’t see this being too unbalanced

  13. I love having a phone that can’t handle the Jungle when it actually gets active ?

Is this just a shitty phone problem or does it happen on computers too?
