Missing Mega Stones to Re-Materialize in Sun & Moon

Spent 8 minutes looking at a Scrabble dictionary and thesaurus seeing what ‘m’ word I could use as the verb in my headline. Certainly a bit of a stretch on my part, but The Pokémon Company has announced that missing Mega Stones will be awarded as entry prizes for upcoming online battle tournaments. Specifically mentioned were Mawilite and Beedrillite which are slated to be given out in late February.

This may be seen as a boon for some fans, while others may have preferred all of the stones simply being included from the beginning or even the ability to download them without the hassle of registering for a competition.

  11. Here’s #4 and #3 of my Top ten favorite Pokemon!

    #4 Kingdra

    The one and only Dragon type hailing from Johto, Kingdra is a great Water Pokemon to have on the team, as well as being worth it in the end. Seriously, after diving into the Whirl Islands to find a Horsea through the Good Rod (and you have a 3% of finding it), leveling up to a Seadra, and then finally trading it with a friend of yours, it becomes a deadly and lethal Pokemon to use. Although I evolved mine in Kanto, the sheer amount of power it had to stand up against the Gym Leaders was amazing. Overall well rounded stats in all of its stats, Kingdra makes it great offensively and defensively. Not only that, it has two fantastic abilities: Sniper and Swift Swim. If you want sheer, destructive power, then having Sniper with Focus Energy and Scope Lens makes it very powerful. Or, if you would prefer to power up your water types moves, while also being faster than any other Pokemon in the Rain, Swift Swim is a nice slice for that.
    Not only that, but its design is what makes me like it even more. Despite the simple appearance all Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon had, Kingdra still gives off a feel of “don’t screw with me”. And that stays true with Kingdra in battle, because you will get pummeled by it if you aren’t careful.

    Anyways, my favorite Fire type of them all is Arcanine. A recent favorite to my top ten list, I knew for a fact I had to place Arcanine pretty high up there. It’s one of my favorite animals and has my favorite typing of all time on it. And I think we can agree that its appearance is either A) Majestic B) Badass C) Adorable D) All of the above. I mean just look at it! I’d be more than glad to have a loyal flamin’ dog beside me on my journey.
    In its battling strength, Arcanine has great, even stats that allow it to be anything (I should have mentioned this with Kingdra, but when a Pokemon has some pretty even stats, they’re my favorite). Ontop with its stats, one of its abilities, Imtimidate, makes it so its defensive bulk is even better, so that it can live off some powerful physical super effective hits. With this, it can essentially become anything thanks to its very wide move pool as well: Flare Blitz, Outrage, Close Combat, Extreme Speed, Crunch, Double Edge, Morning Sun, and so many more tools it can utilize.
    It’s insane how much it has that makes it awesome, which makes this fire dog pretty high on this list.

    I”ll try posting my #2 tomorrow. The Pokemon might be surprising for some people…

  13. I called it. let it be known. Its only been a few months since release and yet now all I see is peoples opinions of sun and moon spiralling ever down from the pedestal, it happened with XY even if people deny it, and its happening with sun and moon. Its become a cycle. Only black and white saw the reverse of such a system.

      • I never said they weren’t, I’m just saying I’ve noticed a lot more people each day that loved the game and held them to the highest degree drop such opinions of it and I know others will too, its just how it goes, and honestly I knew it would happen and those same people said it wouldn’t. Im just salty tbh

I honestly loved those games and still do I just get sad when others that used to, now call it terrible, like you had so many examples for loving it then but now you hate it for less reasons? *you is not referring to you specifically but like the theoretical people I mean*

          • HGSS are perfect. Well… Other than that level curve but besides that.. Omg I love them.

            And while I still really dislike X and Y, I feel like I could replay Sun and a moon again and love it all the same. I just adore the characters.

            X and Y did have the AZ story though and I love him and his Floette and he has to have more that expands on him

    • Yeah some people are a little too harsh on all the games. I thought ORAS was generally pretty good, but a lot of people here hate them. S/M aren’t perfect, but they’re still great games.
