Missing Mega Stones to Re-Materialize in Sun & Moon

Spent 8 minutes looking at a Scrabble dictionary and thesaurus seeing what ‘m’ word I could use as the verb in my headline. Certainly a bit of a stretch on my part, but The Pokémon Company has announced that missing Mega Stones will be awarded as entry prizes for upcoming online battle tournaments. Specifically mentioned were Mawilite and Beedrillite which are slated to be given out in late February.

This may be seen as a boon for some fans, while others may have preferred all of the stones simply being included from the beginning or even the ability to download them without the hassle of registering for a competition.

What do you think?

  1. Can anyone suggest two Pokemon that work well together in Doubles? I need one to be a Rock-type and one to be Flying for my nicknames to work. :p

  2. SuMo Playthrough 3 Update

Pig has a Serious nature, which goes really well with Decidueye tbh both lore wise and in-game.

Next Pokémon I’m going to catch is Alolan Meowth, so I’m taking suggestions for male and female names

  3. So if you evolve a Gen 1 mon that didn’t get an evolution till a later gen will it still have the special gameboy icon next to it?

  4. So on the way home from work I was thinking about if they do end up making a DP remake and what my team would be. I think I’ll probably PC my starter if they remake it as I’ve already used all 3 Sinnoh starters and don’t really want duplicates. With that in mind I have to find a new “starter” to fill the place of the the actual one. I think I may try and use a fire type Pokemon I’ve never used before. Seeing as Sinnoh has a disgraceful number of interesting fire types and I’ve already used the ones I think are cool I’m thinking about breeding my ideal starter and then just sending it over. Just gotta figure out what I’d want to use first lol

  5. Seeing as Masquerain got a buff in SuMo I really hope DPPt remakes give Kricketune, Wormadam and Mothim buffs, especially kricketune

    Maybe something like

    HP: 77
    Attack: 85 – > 90
    Defense: 51 > 76
    Sp. Atk: 55
    Sp. Def: 51 – > 76
    Speed: 65

  6. Huzzah for past megas coming back. I knew they wouldn’t just leave them in SM. (even though they should have just made them accessible in the first place). Once we get those competitive battling can really start. AND after I EV train around 10boxes of pokemon

  7. They should make another new item for completing something in game ala oval and shiny charms

Gift Charm: This item increases the chance wild pokemon will have a hold item by 50%

      • Because it literally hasn’t really done anything, most bugs have things that’ll kill Fairies anyway or they just wouldn’t of beat them anyway, and it actually makes Psychic/Fairies and Grass/Fairies viable

      • It’s fine as it is rn but I wouldn’t mind Fairy not resisting it, whereas I used to actively want Fairy to take neutral from Bug

        Reply
          • Yeah it’d make Bug handy

I think it’s only needed rn if we get more dual bulky Fairies, most Fairies now are weak in one defense and thus are easier to drop with neutrals than other types

          • despite Ground really not getting anything in 2 gens and Fairy Everything (XY gets a pass) but now its just favoritism at this point

          • how was it spoiled, every type was honored equally every gen
only now since the XY types have either gotten stuff or plain neglected

          • the devs admitted they were short on fire types,

but this is still no excuse why dexs should be unjust with types nowadays

          • They’ve always been unjust

And not everything has to be set, equal and fair. In fact, the unpredictability GameFreak now embraces makes the games feel organic because they’re not meeting a quota per type

          • then this problem will always happen, if they don;t wise up and make it fair for all types which clearly isn’t happening

          • Making it fair is unnatural though, because you’re forcing GameFreak to a set structure and allowing them very little creative liberty

          • what’s honestly wrong with every type getting a fair share, so its fair if one type or collective of types gets everything and others get zich?

pretty selfish if you ask me

          • How Tf is it selfish? If anything you’re being selfish because you’re unrealistically wanting things to go your way becuase you don’t like it

          • “Honored equally every gen”

-Looks at poison and water type in gen 1
-Looks at the shit treatment of bug gens 1-4

          • Oops, that actually puts it up to four

One prevo, one line so bad it was deemed necessary of an evo in Gen IV, and Delibird

          • Five Ice-Types, one of which is a prevo, one of which is Delibird, and three pokemon so underpowered they needed another evo to fix them

            So fair

          • It’s always been treated poorly so I’m ready for it, but tbh seeing as only I and IV have been good for it and we’ve just got two tropical regions in a row in hoping Gen 8is a cold region

          • Scotland

I was personally hoping for somewhere Scandinavian with some Norse inspiration similar to how Hawaiian myths inspired the Tapu

          • No Earthen, they weren’t

Ground has consistently gotten four + lines, whereas Ice Dragon and Ghost have constant poor representation

Ground has the single most spammabale move in the game

Fire was treated like shit in Gen IV

Bugs were weak af until Unova

Hoenn had as little Ice as you have brain cells

Gen I introduced like 1/3rd of all Poison types in the franchise

Dragon only got one non legend in Gen IV

          • like those’ll survive an Ice Beam or Scald
They could’ve made Pallossand a Special Attacker’s nightmare but it fell flat

          • Earthen, that logic is so non-sensical. And you’re always talking about them doing things evenly for every type. The fairy movepool is lacking, look at the facts. Accept them. Wait till they make a physical ground/fairy pokemon and all you’re left with is 90 accuracy play rough. Have fun.

          • No it didn’t lol, Fairies still like the third rarest type. If they didn’t retain in fact there’d be a pathetic number of Fairies

          • 9 lines. That’s pretty decent and fair. If you try to look at it as them always having been there, that’s pretty poor equality per generation

          • whatever i’m done with this banwagon, Fairies are a gigantic issue same with legends same with these tight nich generations

Hopefully in the future they’ll honor everything equally and everything would get something good and actually impact the meta

          • Dragon should never get a boost again (Not like Salamence and Rayquaza at least ones like flygon and Garchomp are fine)

          • i’m talking in a competitive set
like you’re honestly going to see a non mega altaria or turtonator

          • Leaving becuase you know you’re being unreasonable? Ta ta

Also all these legendaries your bitching about have lower BSTs than Megas and Pseudo Legends and are in OU whilst Blaziken and Greninja, starter Pokémon, are chilling in Ubers

          • Call me when Fairy’s fifty (keep in mind this includes type change Megas) meets Ground’s sixty five

And even then could just mean GF wants Fairy to be a common type like Normal, Grass and Water always have been

          • that would be honestly fine, but they GOTTA stop making small regions, can we please honestly agree on that?
Gen 8 should get the gen 5 deal and a super big game, super big dex and no one type gets the good stuff?

            fair?

          • 1. Fairies balanced the dragon dominated meta
            2. Fairies made poison and steel much more viable
            3. Types were never honored equally
            4. You just want ground to be OP so you dont have to change and continue using one type and never have to deal with counters

          • 1: they’re replacing dragons as the dominated type
2: they’re still very nich in the sweeping department
            3 agreed
4: i never said anything about wanting it op (its already good at what it does) but lately i can’t even bring one out without it being destroyed in an instant, i just freaking want a few is that so freaking wrong, come on in the last couple of years only 4 and half of them aren’t even that good, how do you think i feel when everyone gets more and more fairies

          • 1. What? No? Tapus aren’t all fairies.
            2. They aren’t going to sweep much but they are at least usable.
            4. BECAUSE YOU ONLY USE GROUND. You don’t adapt to counter the meta. That is how metagames work. You adapt. If you dont adapt, you are going to lose over and over. Ground types are not a type that can handle diverse teams. It is a strong type with lots of viable weaknesses. But instead of changing to make up for those weaknesses you choose to get angry at it

          • Have Fairies not been clinging to top teir for a while now?
I ONLY MONO GROUND IN MONOTYPE U DUMMY
            I HAVE OTHER TEAMS Y’KNOW

          • Azumarill, Gardevoir, Togekiss, Sylveon, Gardevoir, Mega Diancie, M Mawile, Slurpuff, and now the Tapus

          • The point is, you always make excuses and blame the game for your losses in a match. RNG, legendaries, Tapus, Fairies, it is always the game’s fault for you not winning

          • because that’s they’re always an issue, if its non-legends its a different story
but 90% of the time its op legends

          • 1) No they’re not, the Tapu are omnipresent because terrains (none of which boost their Fairy stabs) not being Fairies. Beyond that the only Fairies in the tier are Megas and Clefable, maybe Z Klefki iirc
            2) Sweeping =/= Good, they’re both amazing defense types that Fairies struggle to break and are eventually beat out by
            3) You were literally just bitching about how they used to be, it’s literally just because it’s now effecting your personal favourite that you give a shit
            4) The majority of new Fairies aren’t good besides legends, the best Fairies have been recons and Megas

          • Fairy, special Bugs, special Rock, special Fighting, physical Psychic, physical Ghost, physical Electric, physical Fire

And that’s just off the top of my head

          • Same, I love seeing wether my opponents playing it safe with Flamethrower or risking it with Fire blast

  8. I try to reduce the amount of random questions I have, but does anyone have pokemon they are going to bottle cap from past gens.
I have collecttive 100+ shinies and legends I need to bottle cap. Im soooo ready. Im even about to go back and shiny hunt sub legends I got bad nature for this is gonna be a beautiful generation with my pack of legit shiny pokemon and competitive legends. Arceus Bless Bottle caps

    Reply
    • nope because i’m just stopping Pokemon, clearly things are just never going to get better
gonna focus on splatoon for the next month until the switch

and if i were gonna bottlecap anything it would be my Shiny Chesnaught Sherman but what good he’ll last in today’s meta

  9. I got really excited about new steven universe, then really sad when I found out it was the ones that were up online like weeks ago. (before you judge me I don’t have a tv so I only can watch things online anyways and thought those episodes were already out)
