Alola Friendly Competition Details Announced

Ready to get friendly with others playing Pokémon Sun or Moon? There’s a new official competition coming up for trainers and the rules have just been announced! You can find them listed below, but don’t forget to sign-up from January 19 through 26. Participants will all earn 50 Battle Points!

• This competition uses Single Battle format.
• Players may use only Pokémon from the Alolan Pokédex.
• All Mythical and Legendary Pokémon are not allowed.
• Mega Stones are not allowed.
• Items are allowed, but Trainers may not have duplicate items in their Battle Team.
• Register three to six of your Lv. 1–100 Pokémon to your Battle Team.
• All Pokémon in this competition will automatically become Lv. 50 for the duration of each match.
• Three of the Pokémon you register to your Battle Team will be chosen to battle in each match.
• A 10-minute time limit for each player will automatically be enforced in-game, beginning at the start of each battle. If the outcome has not been determined when the time limit expires, the game will automatically apply tiebreakers to determine a winner.
• At the beginning of each battle, players have 90 seconds to select three Pokémon with which to battle.
• At the beginning of each turn, players have 60 seconds to select a move or change the Pokémon in battle. If a player has not made his or her selections at the end of this period, the game will automatically make selections for the player.
• Players may battle up to 15 games per day of the competition. Any unplayed games will carry over to the following day. A new day begins at 00:00 UTC.

  10. Yay I’m getting closer to my region being done cause at the moment I’m going back and getting all the pokemon that will be in the region (not including new forms or ones that get an evolution or pre) so far out of returning (I’m getting to Unova now) I’m at 130 some now

  11. Game freak is paying 97 cents per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !randomcharacters:
On April fool’s day I got a great new Nintendo Switch from having earned $2.37 this last four weeks.. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve grammar error had.. It sounds like a bot unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it

  13. Also sorry to complain but I really want to get this off my chest.
    Today sucked. A lot.
    My school is giving us assigned seats at lunch, so if I don’t get put with my one friend then I’m just screwed socially for the rest of the year. My family is fighting about anything and everything. School work is already piling up and I’m getting behind. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot to be really overwhelmed with, but I’m just really stressed right now, sorry for complaining. Ugh.

      Isn’t Lunch supposed to be your own personal time? It’s not a class. What the hell, this is the stupidest thing I’ve heard yet this year.

      • It’s supposed to be a punishment for people leaving behind trash, but it’s really flawed. The point is that they have a list of who’s at each table so that when they have trash they can properly punish the people. However, THERES LITERALLY NOTHING STOPPING SABOTAGE!
        People are just going to throw trash on other’s tables as a prank to get those people into detention.

    • No worries. Family’s fight. Its just a matter of blacking it out and figuring out if its just bickering, or if its anything concerning. As for school, you’ll quickly learn to enjoy new people given pretty much at your age you can all find solace in one another’s angst and misery.

      Also if it helps you feel better, the Rumors of Mother 3 coming to the Switch have become a lot more believable given the dev’s of Mother 3 have been invited to the switch event in Japan. Personally I still refute to believe it(I’ve been burned too many times to be knocked back down again with Nintendo messing around with us), but if real then its one more thing that might save the switch from its high chance of failure.

      • I appriciate your concern, it means a lot. However, I’ve made 1 friend in a year and a half of high school, that’s why I’m scared of this new seating chart. I’m not socially outgoing, so it’ll be either really awkward for the rest of the year or I skip lunch entirely. Probably the latter.

        Also, that’s awesome! Any word on retro or monolith soft at the event?

    Yay! But I dont have any classes with my friend. ;-;
    Maybe some of my other friends will have the same classes.

    People are going to think I’m crazy though because I just got the whole Wicked soundtrack on my phone and I’m just going to sing it like a maniac while walking to school

  23. Ugh I don’t feel so good I’ve been having trouble sleeping for months I hope it’s not because of depression or anxiety and because of unhealthy eating, I despise heart palpitations. I’m getting a growing fear of sleeping now 🙁
